5600X was going out after 3-6 months because of some thermal problems aka overclocking problems and motherboard making it overclock. This runs alot better and it’s always at 1-5% intel i put a new gpu in it

This is a powerful companion to my computer. I upgraded from a Ryzen 9 3900x. I can already see a huge difference in my multitasking and work flow. I do a lot of big processes editing video and 3d modeling.

Okay so besides the scarcity of the actually product, this is easily a 5 star piece of tech. I wanted a 5900x but this was all that was available. It’s an absolute beast and immediately gave most of my games an FPS boost which was significantly noticeable in Call of Duty: Warzone. Whether you’re gaming (I recommend the 5900x if possible though, 5950x is overkill), streaming, or working on digital art this thing is worth the money.

I upgraded to this Ryzen 9 5950X as I was not getting the frame rates I expected on my RTX 4080 GPU. If you have a RTX 4000 series this is a great processor. Pair it with a CPU water cooler and you can start overlocking it and wow... it's just amazing. Definitely recommend.

Staggeringly more powerful than the 3400G it replaced. I run Gentoo Linux, where compiling large packages like web browsers from source code is considered a big challenge, but this will blast through compiling an updated Firefox in less than 10 minutes.

The king of multi-core processing. Never has disappointed me gaming or computing anything I need it to. A bit pricey, but you’re getting the absolute best AMD has to offer. Zero compromises. Make sure you grab a motherboard that is Ryzen 5000 ready, it will make your install way easier.

I didn't really need this, more of a want. But this is so fast it is silly. Looking at Task Manager's CPU view it show that I rarely use all the cores, so the threads never show any activity.
Games do not really show an improvement, need a better graphics card, over my old 5600x but processing videos no takes almost no time at all.
The downside was my rather small air cooler really was not up to the task, so that meant a new cooler. Which was too tall for my case by about 1/4". So, I also have a new case also. I ended up spending an additional $200. Just something to be aware of.
Definitely worth the money, but be sure to understand the total cost if you are moving from a 65W processor to this 100W processor.

This is a screaming fast CPU. It pairs perfectly with the new RTX 3090 graphics cards to create an insanely fast desktop computer to play games at the very fastest and highest quality settings.
The downside is how expensive it is. Intel has fallen far behind AMD, which enables AMD to capitalize on the price. There's not anything by Intel that is competitive.

While a bit pricier per core than the 5900x, I have been loving my 5950x and it's ability to multitask. I don't have to shut down any programs to play games, I just launch the games and run them at full frame rates (alot)
Haven't been able to push this as hard as I want to see what it can truly do - but the shaders in COD: CW install sooo much faster than with my i7.

This is not a CPU for gaming or casual use. It is entirely capable of doing either, but you don’t need to spend that much to meet those goals.
However, if you’re someone who does a good bit of work that is able to utilize a high core count, the 5950x is a behemoth of a workstation.

One of the best processors I have owned. Open as many Chrome pages and apps as you need this processor will not let you down. I had 50 Chrome pages open running all at once (don’t ask why I need them open) and running smooth.
