My Dad loved the show so I bought the dvds for him

I received my order but after viewing my videos season 3 the first dvd was not playing. That is a problem can't complete the seasons without that dvd.

I loved this series. I still do. Set in the eighties, there was no cell-phones, no internet, no instant communication. If you were in trouble, I had to drive to get to you and save you. Time was of the essence. Old-time spy work! Loved it! Great actors! Great writing! I had seasons 1 - 4 on DVD already, but the box-set was about as much as seasons 5 & 6. So. now my brother in law gets 1 -4 as I told him about the series. The show is amazing, but the box set packaging is the worst packaging I have ever, and I mean EVER experienced. Every disc is in one big plastic holder - which means they are all over the place in that holder - "floating" around, getting scratched, etc. This series is excellent and is worthy of a far better packaging technique. If not for the ridiculous packaging, I would have given this series a 5 star. Sorry to say, but who ever decided on this packaging needs to be fired. They have destroyed their ability to get a better overall rating on this product and will lessen their overall sales. If this series goes to Blu-Ray, make sure you demand to open it before you buy it. I wish I had. Or just buy the separate seasons when they go on sale. Rob

In my opinion this show is just ok. I had a hard time getting into it and then staying intrested.

The case was broken and some of the discs were loose when I receive the package.

'The Americans' is a terrific series. From the very first season, all the way to its final episodes--the first-rate quality and superb acting is always present, on every season of the show. A rarity in TV shows nowadays. The only downside? It's on DVD. This show is worthy of a Blu-ray set.

I saw every episode live but I had to own this for myself. This is a rare treat as it is both well written and well acted.

Received product earlier than indicated at time of purchase. Product arrived in good shape as advertised. very happy with purchase.
