Seemed cool, but range isn't what is claimed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reviews sounded great, but when I bought one to try out, it didn't work as well as some of the other reviewers. People claiming to get 200 mbps speeds in the back yard must have a clear path from the router to where they are. I put one in the office, centrally located in the house, and our smart TV in the basement saw the signal, but wouldn't connect. I checked my iphone, and it said full bars, but then did a speed test to see I was getting only 2-4 mbps. So, very slow download speeds. Upload was similar, so wasn't an issue with download only (which I've seen). Also note, you will see up to 5000-7000 sqft coverage mentioned, but this is with at minimum 2 routers. I looked at the box, and it said up to 3000 with just one. Mine is right around that size, so in order to get good fast service, I'm thinking 2500 is maybe the max, if not a bit smaller.
