My subjective take is that this probably provides more "under the hood" enhancement than anything, but it does seem to drain my Switch 2 battery a little less than the original version. Haven't really used the megaphone, mouse controls, or voice chat, but the ability to host up to 12 folks on my island now is pretty cool. I bet "busier" looking islands will also benefit from the performance enhancements, too.
