Animal Crossing New Horizons, is a Sandbox game where you can play at your own pace and leisure. The game centers on you traveling to an unmanned island with Tom Nook and forge a beautiful island getaway to attract future residents to live on the island. What's cool about this game is that there are pre-made island layouts and you can select islands that is based on the Northern and Southern hemisphere of the world. Each hemisphere has their own wildlife and environments. Once you get into the Island and pitched your tent you can play the game however you see fit. The beauty of the Animal Crossing games, is the sense of freedom and exploration. There is no sense of urgency and you can take as much time you need to complete certain key objectives to progress the game forward. The collecting and crafting aspects in this game is very easy and straightforward. Seeing your personal island come to live is very satisfying. Another cool feature for this version of the game is that you can allow 8 other players to visit your island via Online or Local play. So, you can get your friends and family to visit your islands and play tourist. However, my only issues I have with the game is that you can only have safe file on the Switch's console and have multiple islands on one game is not possible at the moment. Also, whenever a person visits or leaves your island there is a message that interrupts the flow of the game and you cannot be do any activities when the message appears. Overall, despite those issues the game is still very fun and relaxing and fun for all ages.

Animal Crossing is a game you either love or hate. If you have a lot of creativity and patience, it will provide many hours of fun. I picked it up for my birthday to give myself something to do, and have already invested 115 hours into the game. I've spent quite a bit of that time bringing over some of my personal works/art projects and building tributes to various things (including my late father). It's nice to take everything slow sometimes too. Spend an evening just getting to know your villagers, go fishing, that sort of thing.

This game has realized so much of what fans have long imagined for Animal Crossing. The graphics are crisp and clean and the content is deep. The perfect game if you're stuck at home for a while.

I've never played an Animal Crossing game before this year. I started with Pocket Camp to check it out and loved it so I bought New Horizons. I'm really enjoying it. So many ways to make my island the way I want it. You can take your time with goals or hit them all sooner so you can spend more time just doing what you want. It's definitely a game you can just relax with while you play it, even if you're workingnto hit the goals asap.

Me, my wife, and bestfriend love playing AC. There's no end to this game. Set in real time play the season change as the year goes on. Building and expanding your home is great. Each room can have it own theme. Endless outfit combos. Not to mention all the DIY's you can collect and make. An upside this game is that you get to move not only your home but anyone else that lives on the island. Also during this pandemic it helps keeps your mind off everything in the real world. I've heard from a few of my FB friends about how this game has helped keep them sane while having to stay home. Its a simple game with a lot to offer.

I love this game! It really challenges your mind for creativity! So many things you can do! I have only recently started and I can't wait to build my own amazing island!

I've been a fan of Animal Crossing since the GameCube days. I spent days of time on New Leaf and of course pre-ordered New Horizons. I believe the game delivers what I expected. There is a lot left out, that some avid fans may miss, but the game also added many features that we have not seen before. The graphics are great, it runs without issue, and I've had a lot of fun playing it with my boyfriend and other friends online. Because it is on a new generation console with internet, I believe new features and updates will be added at future dates to keep the game fresh and entertaining year round.

I've been a fan of Animal Crossing since the beginning and I can't tell you how much I love the improvements made for NH! When I first booted it up I got misty-eyed remembering countless nights playing this with my family and it is so engaging. Not to mention the detail they went to to really make this world feel real (I am a fan of looking at all the stuff behind the counters and desks to see all the little coffee cups and fans and stuff that just adds to the realism). The game is super approachable - so much so that I immediately called my mom to tell her to get a copy. Highly recommended!!!

Been waiting for its release for so long and it's finally here! A super relaxed game, with goals and the ability to design your island however you want!

I've been playing AC on Wii/Wii U, DS and phone for years and while it gets tedious at times, you don't get bored and you get so involved with all the things to! Catching bugs, fish, finding fossils, planting flowers and trees, picking fruit, visit friends, travel to "mystery" islands, earn 'bells' (money), upgrade your home, craft stuff, etc.. The game takes place in real time and goes through all 4 seasons, day/night cycle and all kinds of weather. Fun for ALL ages! For little kids, they'll need to know how to read or have someone that can to help them.

I’m a new player to animal crossing but the graphics are ridiculous good and helps you take your mind off things. Right away I was in debt but unlike the real world it was easy to simply hustle for a day or two and pay it off right away. The only thing is. This game would be more enjoyable if it didn’t rely on the user being imaginative. Cause I saw all these cute pictures of peoples islands....so I completely destroyed mine but didn’t know what to do next. So I haven’t used the game in about 3 months? Kind of prefer stardew valley better. Has more story and life for only $14.99. You can even have more in depth relationships that can get you more items. So overall if you’re super creative definitely get this game but if you like in depth story lines and hustling and kicking the occasional butt, get stardew valley

I got this game during covid and it made the whole time pass by with ease! I recently got it for my girlfriend and she’s hooked! It’s definitely worth buying if yiu want something fun and relaxing to play yourself or meeting with friends in other islands

v fun and adorable game! Unfortunately due to how nintendo does digital downloads i had to purchase this hard copy so it could be played on 2 switches at once, but its not a problem. Now my gf and i can play at the same time. Her favorite part is swimming in the ocean around the island

This is a very fun and relaxing game -- just what I was looking to add to my collection. I would recommend it for kids or adults.

This is a wonderful game with so many fun features. I've been logging on every day since release and thoroughly enjoy customizing my island and hanging out with my villagers! I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a nice calm and relaxing game. This game mainly focuses on building up your island and finding so many new clothing options and island customizations. Me and my boyfriend also have a great time playing together and visiting each other towns! 10/10 for me.

I am a huge Animal Crossing fan and have played every single title since the first one came to the United States for Gamecube. This is undoubtedly the most extensive and enjoyable entry in the series. Don't miss out on the zen experience created by catching fish, organizing your furniture, collecting fossils and watching the sunset. FYI The music is outstanding, but to unlock the full score you will need to wait for the Resident Services building to undergo renovations.

This game.... It's amazing. It's exactly what I had always hoped it would be and I'm so excited to see what's in store. And to make matters better, I have gotten my dubious husband to be addicted to it. XD So now I always have someone to play with! Loved being able to pick it up in store on release day, also. That was so convenient and fast. I was int he door at 10am when they opened and out the door by 10:02am with all my goodies in hand. Great experience!
