Has the option to plug in and charge your phone when connected but I’ve chosen not to use it since my CarPlay is still wired and not wireless so my phone charges automatically. But, if you have wireless CarPlay this mount can help with charging your phone too.

If I'm going to have to guess, the mount probably couldn't withstand the heat in my car since it stays outside 24/7 and not in a garage. Besides that, the magsafe still holds and still charges my phone when plugged in.

Owned for 10 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.not sure what all the bad press is all about. sorry to the ppl that have had it rough with this BUT mine has been spot on EXCELLENT! i applied to front of my truck dash Aug. 2022, almost a year ago, & i've had NO issues yet. it has continued to stick to dash along with the 2 small clips for the wire. actually going to buy another for wifes car this week. i followed all directions to apply. my truck sits out in driveway so it has full sun located in SC. GREAT find for my iphone 13 pro max!

I always trusted Anker for all my charging needs but this is not it chief. 1st off the design does not work for everyone and mounting is not as strong for some dash boards. The included cable management stickers are not strong enough to stay attached to your dash board making them useless. Finally the charge speed is very very slow. It takes about 10pm to gain 1% charge whereas plugging a lightning charger to your car jack takes about 3min for 1% charge. This is a huge difference for people who commute to work and will only see 1-2% batter increase. Might as well not even plug it in… And the product in my opinion is over priced…The only positive is the charger has a USB A and USB C port to charge two devices. And no switching to a USB C-C will not charge it faster.

If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
Step 1: Choose an area on a flat surface on the dashboard and wipe any dust from the surface.
Step 2: Choose the best view angle for positioning.
Step 3: Remove the film on both the suction cup and dashboard pad(optional).
Step 4: Press the suction cup firmly onto the dashboard or the 3M pad.
Step 5: Push the locking lever to engage suction then leave it for 3 minutes.
Step 6: Connecting power & Manage the cable placement(optional).

Functional but not flexible

Can be windshield mounted but because its “upside down” the iPhone with or without a magsafe case adds to much weight and screen faces down, cameras face straight up to the car ceiling. Definitely has strong magnets to keep phone in place while attached and charging, If you dont care about placement and having it on the dash is okay with you id say give it a try (i like it despite how limited it seems to be, i prefer windshield placement)

Magnet holds even an iPad mini!

The magnet is so far the strongest compared to the others I’ve tried. No matter what bump I go over my phone does not fall off, I’ve even stuck my iPad mini w/ Otterbox defender case on and it still stays! Because the mini doesn’t have Mag Safe I bought the Mophie Snap+ magnet rings and stuck it on the defender case.
