Damaged the charging port on my Pixel 2 XL

So I stopped and purchased this charger to keep my phone from dying, because we all know how using navigation for hours on end drains a battery. Well, it was fine for about a week. I used the charger every day. On the 8th day of the trip, I started to have problems, but unplugging and replugging the phone seemed to get it charging again. Then the last day of the trip, it took several minutes of unplugging and replugging to get the phone to charge. I got home, tried to put it on the regular charger that came with the phone, and it wouldn't charge. Tried the car charger again, but it wouldn't work either. I messed with it for at least an hour to no avail. It's ruined my phone, and I have to buy a new phone now. I can't recommend this charger, unless you need an excuse to buy a new phone.

If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
- Try another cable and a different car outlet.
- Try charging a different device.
- Unplug the car charger from everything (the cigarette lighter + any USB cables)
- After 5 minutes, plug the car charger back in and try a different USB cable in the non-working port to see if the problem has been resolved.
