I recently purchased an older model vehicle which doesn't have an AUX/USB port. This FM Transmitter has a stronger signal, is easy to operate, and is easy to plug in/out (I don't like to leave it in all the time since the sun might damage the display). I've tried multiple transmitters about 10 years ago and thought the technology in general was trash. Seems like the technology has improved, i've found a better product, or both.

Great item. Works well and easy to use. Charges phone battery fast. Only flaw is people say I sound like I'm in a box when I'm talking using the bluetooth talk.

I tried this transmitter in my old Mercedes hoping to listen to my streaming music. It was an epic failure. The design is nice, the ease of use is exceptable but the function was a failure. I Live in the city and unfortunately there were no open FM frequencies. I found 2 and then even when it tried to stream there was so much static that you couldn't really hear the music. I ended up returning this item, great concept, epic failure.

Useful Transmitter for Older Cars

This Anker FM transmitter works pretty well in providing a way to play music on your USB drive for older cars that do not have USB inputs. The music quality is decent as long as you can use a frequency that is not close to any existing FM station frequencies. It can find one for you automatically, but I find that it is better to select one manually after researching the available local FM station frequencies. If you want to use this to listen to music while travelling, you may also want to avoid the FM station frequencies on the way.

Love it. Easy set up and works just as expected for what I needed. While my car (2005 Bmw) does have built-in bluetooth calling, it doesn’t have an aux or usb port. Now, I can stream everything from my phone thru my car speakers now (My music, Youtube, Pandora, Sirius app, etc.). It can also charge your phone and provides an additional usb port for another device. I wish I had gotten this sooner!

Our new car did not have bluetooth for the radio only for the phone. The aux jack was loose and we couldn't use that either so we decided to try this product. it works off a radio station frequency that is not being used so if you go far out of your area you have to find a new station but it is easily done. It works well and streams fine. Sometimes if you drive near a radio station that has a close frequency it will static but it is easy to just choose a new station.

So full disclosure I haven’t actually used this one yet, but this is not my first one. It’s actually my third. Sold the first one to a friend and gave the second one away. It’s hard to beat the price and quality of anker products. Makes a car that doesn’t have Bluetooth, Bluetooth capable via the fm transmitter on your car. A must in older vehicles without a aux out

Purchased this as one of the deal of the day items just in case it did not work. I absolutely love this gadget. Loved it so much that we purchased another one for my husbands truck that only has blue tooth for calls. Now he can play his music via blue tooth as well. I did not read prior to purchasing but you can add a memory card as well. Very easy to install and get up and running.

Works great if you have another input to feed with the 1/8in output from the device. The FM transmitter functionality kind of sucks, regardless of what frequency you put it on. In my area, the stations are too close together to truly find any channels that are static-free enough to use. The device also suffers from interference that I found could even be impacted by putting my hand near the device.
