Easy to set up and pair and the sound is great, however on calls I can't adjust the volume on the call, so I have to turn my volume up, this my be a flaw on my phone's end, but also occasionally people of the other end will get an echo on their end. Doesn't happen all the time, but enough to keep this from being a total 5 star

Works great, but there is a significant loss of volume. I use it with my iPhone for music and hand free calling. It pairs automatically every time, has functional buttons to skip tracks and answer calls, and is easy to adjust the radio station when needed.

But it only has one USB port. So I can't use it to run my dashcam and charge my phone. Finally just gave up and now I mostly only listen to FM in my car. If it had two USB ports it'd be a 5-star review. Sound quality is fine, buttons work fine, functionally it's a fine thing.

I purchased this item as a replacement for an old bluetooth transmitter I've had for years. I have an older pickup truck with the factory stereo still cranking out tunes. Setup was pretty easy after I downloaded the app. Installed it right then and there in the Best Buy parking lot. I started up Spotify and hit the highway. No static, no interference just good sound coming from my speakers. I noticed a little static when I drive by downtown San Antonio on the highway. Other than that I'm very happy with this purchase.

Over the last 15 years I've had many different FM transmitters in various vehicles. I'd say considering it is Bluetooth and Transmitting via two wireless protocols, this performs better than most but has a few nuances like many other products. For instance, if you are trying to stream via Bluetooth to two separate devices say an earpiece (Plantronics etc...) for taking calls with the best call quality while also streaming music to this FM device, it will indicate that you're not connected even though you are indeed. For me with my Samsung S10+, I accomplish this by simply adjusting the Bluetooth connections so that my Plantronics isn't setup for streaming audio/music but is for calls & contacts only and obviously for this FM device I set it up so it's not configured for calls but only for audio/music. However, traditionally with my previous transmitters, they would indicate fully connected & function as desired allowing me to also use my phones EQ/Equilizer to customize the music audio quality nicely. This device will still play audio music even though it indicates that Bluetooth is not connected but doesn't allow the EQ settings to be applied. In order to enforce this you have to set the Bluetooth for this connection to enable all Bluetooth features which is basically calls & audio/music. Once that's done, the device acknowledges the fully connected status and properly utilizes the EQ configuration but of course this means you'll be recieving calls to that device and/or taking calls and/or streaming music simultaneously to both your headset and the FM transmitter which is not ideal for me but I make due for right now and adjust the Bluetooth connectivity as needed. That aside, as expected with any device like this using FM rather than full aux connectivity to your car stereo, you will likely not be able to leverage your phones advanced audio codecs to try and listen to slightly higher quality/fidelity sounds such as LDAC, AAC, Aptx, etc... And will only be able to leverage SBC codec via Bluetooth audio streaming. This is also true at least in my experience trying various hi-fi apps and via connecting to the Anker by means of the Aux-in port. I have not tried the USB drive or SD Card slot to see if those options allow any better but unfortunately this hasn't worked for me for streaming audio via USB from my phone connecting to the USB drive port either. I had expected and hoped to be able to plug in my phone via USB to the side USB port or any USB port and be able to switch the phone USB to midi/streaming function like most car stereo hardware allows these days and this Anker device simply doesn't see it or allow it to be compatible. That said, it appears that the SD Card & USB options in fact must literally be an SD card or USB Storage Devices only (SD cards or USB flash drives only). That sort of eliminates the ability to stream hi-fi audio from Spotify, Amazon, etc... through this via those connections forcing you to use basic quality SBC audio codec at 16-bit ~44.1hz through the side aux or Bluetooth and thus at high volumes, you'll always have static, interference and less than CD quality sound. For me this means that no matter what FM station is used, any where around town (Milwaukee, etc..) I hit static/channel interference listening to music when I get to volume levels on my 2005 Acura MDX any more than volume level 25 (max is 40). That's with the volume on my phone maxed, the absolute volume setting for Bluetooth connections disabled via Android developer options. Albeit, the auto scan helps to troubleshoot quickly while in traffic (safely) but still never too perfect or reliable as it always seems to be that someone else on the road nearby is on the same FM station and close enough proximity to be fighting for connectivity. Basically, every other day I'll have that happen and will go from what I'm listening to to a static-mix-up of someone's Country love song, Mumble Rap, or BonJovi greatest hits. I'm sure they are also getting a mash up too, so it's not unexpected when living in the city. With all that in mind, I have kept this and will continue to use it with my Acura MDX city warrior as with 284,391 miles on it with no major issues or expenses besides regular fluid maintenance and consumable hardware replacement parts (brakes, tires) considering the mileage and all stock engine/drivetrain and no aftermarket equipment, I can't complain with slight annoyances probably caused by wear and tear to the electrical system/grounds over the years in Wisconsin weather. Note: That may also be a factor regarding why I regularly get interference/static/electrical or static frequency which may be a source of the experience like many other people notice when they are trying to use an FM device or even an aux cable while they are charging their phone through USB from the vehicles electrical system. Thank you for your time.

I have an older model car and I was always using the aux cord from my phone to my stereo to listen to spotify/pandora because my radio is not equipped with bluetooth. Instead of upgrading my stereo, I decided to give this a try. And wow I was impressed. The sound quality is great and far beyond what I was expecting. I connect the transmitter via bluetooth to my phone and it transmits via FM through my old stereo. I love it!

This has enabled me to have hands-free while driving as I travel many miles. The only issue is it's not perfectly clear while using the phone, and the volume will not go up enough when I'm using my Pandora through Bluetooth on my phone.

I bought this because the CD player in my 07 escalade doesn't work and wanted to be able to play music that I wanted to play instead of radio stations all the time. The unit itself functions as it's supposed to. I recommend using the app with it. It's easier to scan stations that way. My issue with it is the sound quality. I'm sure for alot of vehicles it would sound ok. My escalade has a Bose system in it and it shows the limitations of this unit. Which I can't say you would expect this unit to sound super hi fi but...blue tooth connection makes it sound terrible. Distortion in the high end and very little bottom end. I use power amp music player on my phone which has a 10 band eq. Still can't fix the sound. And it's not the radio station I'm on because I can pause the music so it's just dead air and the empty station is coming in clean. I understand it's not going to be super duper. But the distortion makes it unlistenable. When you use the mini sd card slot the sound improves greatly. Proving it's the limitations of the units bandwidth on its Bluetooth. Sd would be great but....if you have a few CDs on it you can't just see folders and select song album. You have to skip each Individual track which takes forever and you can't keep looking at it while driving to see what song it's on. Over all because sd cleans the sound up alot. But still not perfect. And the joke of the sound quality from Bluetooth it gets 3 stars. I'm sure on a lower quality sound system it might sound ok. Unit has a aux port that's the size of a headphone jack. It's a output. YouTube reviews say this is the best way to plug it into you dash unit for quality. But...if you unit has this input. Wouldn't you just connect you phone directly if it has a headphone jack? It's junked in my console until there's a day I'm sitting waiting on someone to have time to skip each track on the sd card

This is a bluetooth FM transmitter. Has a quick charge USB, as well as input for aux, SD, and USB for music. Very easy to choose FM frequency, and pairs fast. Controls work well for music, but sometimes I have issues with getting it to make a call or end one.

Great accessory for cars that do not have Bluetooth or when traveling in rental cars. It can be linked to your phone an easily reconnected between cars. Sound quality is good. The aux jack is usefully to transfer the sound the the vehicle with a clear sound. I purchased extras to leave in my older car and some for traveling. I use it without the app, I feel the app makes drains the battery from my phone.

Everything is amazing with the Anker. At first some stations would have a lot of static noise coming with the music you would play and when the music would stop playing, all you hear was static. It would get annoying so I kept searching for new stations and eventually I found one and I haven't had the static noise since. So if you have that problem, don't give up on it. Just keep looking, it's a really good investment and amazing device. I am very happy with it.

When using Bluetooth to fm. There is static. When the blinker the static changes with the blink. If i turn on my fog lights the static gets worse. Dosent matter if i change the station there is alwas static. But if i use Bluetooth to the headphone jack then it works great. Phone always automatically connects.

I’m only giving 4 stars because the first one I left the store with was not working. It took me about an hour of messing with it before going back to the store to exchange it. That being said, the replacement was set up in less than 5 minutes and works great. This is my third one of these Bluetooth to FM transmitters and this one is far and away superior. I love the fact it seeks out blank frequencies on its own.

I wanted to be able to talk or call from my phone as well as charge it , in my car, in case of emergency, which meant I had to connect a transmitter. I found this one online and picked it up curbside. The Best Buy agent there was very helpful I had to ask a 13 yr old to set it up for me, but after he did, it works perfectly, making my 16 yr old car up to date. It is fully adjustable too.

The Anker Roav transmitter works just like they say it does. Tried 3 different stations that it automatically searches for and each one is solid, no static no interference everything works as it should. The little extension piece is just a tad too short or stiff to adjust to the pefect angle but nothing to complain too much about. Easy to read even with direct sunlight. Would highly recommend if you don't have bluetooth or aux. connection to your older radio.
