The Anker Solix C300X DC Solar Generator Power Pack is a perfect package for someone who is constantly on the move, juggling work, errands, and goes on the occasional adventure and needs a reliable power source. The power pack is a compact form factor that is feature-rich and will keep your devices charged wherever life takes you with plenty of juice for all your thirsty devices. The power pack has a width of a 2-liter bottle of soda and comes with a handle strap that allows it to be carried everywhere and easily maneuverable. On the unit there are 4 USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. Also included is a DC car cigarette socket so you can attach items that normally are used inside your car such as dash cams and high-power cell phone chargers. A lot of modern cars do not have cigarette outlets in the car anymore and this power bank can give your devices some additional legs to use in the car. Another handy feature is the area light that can light up the interior of a car or a tent. The smart feature of this power bank is the built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity that allows you to connect to your smart phone and monitor how much juice is left in the power bank and how much wattage each device you have connected to the power bank is drawing. But what makes this package worthwhile? The ways you can charge this power bank. If you are at home, you can connect cell phone chargers to the USB-C ports, and it will charge the fully depleted power bank in about 5 hours using the chargers that came with my Google Pixel phones. But the intriguing part is the included 8-panel solar panel that folds down to the size of a textbook for easy transport. Included is the extension cable to connect the solar panel to the battery. This allows the battery to be roughly 10 feet away from the solar panel and this is helpful because in the Arizona sun, it’s probably not a great idea to have the power bank sitting in the sun. This allows you to leave the solar panel in the sun while keeping the power bank in the shade. Another surprise is that Anker includes a barrel adapter for the solar panel which allows me to use the solar panel to charge other branded batteries. So, the value of this package allows you to also expand your power bank collection to other branded devices using the included solar panel. A single charge on the power bank will last me a week charging things such as USB-C rechargeable batteries, Nintendo Switch, cell phones, and headphones. If you are looking for a power bank to take with you everywhere, this one is it. You can get off the grid by harnessing the sun to charge your devices.

I have a number of power banks that I use for camping and overlanding trips, but I haven’t been all that happy with them because they just don’t have the charging capacity I need for my phone, laptop, cameras, drones, and other devices I use when going on extended camping and overlanding trips. I’ve been looking for a better, higher-capacity power bank and came across the Anker Solix C300X DC portable power station which I have been using and testing for several days. Thus far is has proven to be very portable and provides a tremendous amount of capacity for recharging my devices, exactly what I was looking for. This particular power station kit comes with solar panels and cables for charging along with a car charging plug. As I spend a lot of time off the grid the solar panels are a tremendous upgrade effectively producing unlimited power.
Upon first use the instructions say you need to “recharge it to activate the power station” and explains several ways to charge it, one of which is to use “your own cell phone charger to activate”. So no, a wall charger is not included in the box, just something to be aware of. That’s not a big deal to me, I have tons of them as I’m sure most people do, so for initial charging and activation I used a 65w wall charge that I have along with the 140w charging cable which is included in the box. The power bank came with a 30% charge and it took just slightly over 4 hours to fully charge. As I read through the instruction manual it states that the two 140W USB-C Input/Output Ports can be used to recharge simultaneously, so next time I’ll try plugging in a second charger which should cut the charging time in half.
Another thing to be aware of is this is the C300X DC power station, so it provides DC output only. It is great for charging devices that have USB and USB-C outlets. But there is no AC output/plug, therefore, you cannot run things like small appliances. If you are looking for a power bank that has AC outlets be aware of this and choose the other power station.
Over the past 4 days I have been charging my various devices numerous times and the Solix power station is still at 92% of charging capacity. To me that is remarkable. I also took it out ice fishing one day just to test it in cold temperatures. This was in the Colorado Rockies at about 10,000 feet above sea level. It was 10 degrees that day with 15 mile per hour winds (so about a minus 12 degree wind chill) and the power station worked perfectly.
A month later I took it to the Utah desert camping . I only camped for 3 days so my testing was limited to that timeframe. But between the capacity of the power station and the solar panels to recharge it, I had fully charged devices (cameras, phone, laptop, drone) the entire time, it was fantastic!
The power station also has a pop-up light which will came in very handy during my camping trip. It has three different levels of brightness, the highest of which is extremely bright (the attached picture shows the lowest brightness level).
I’ve seen some advertisements of this product on the interweb with people taking the Solix with them on hikes with the long strap attached to the unit and draping it over their shoulder. To me, that is a bit of a reach. I do a lot of backpacking/hiking and I just don’t see taking this power station on something like that due to its weight. While its only a little over 6 pounds I think there are better/smaller power bank options for hiking or backpacking. But that’s not why I got it. For multi-day overlanding/camping trips I think it is absolutely perfect.
It would have been nice if Anker included a carrying bag for all the components of this kit, i.e., three different cords, the solar panels and the power bank itself just to keep everything together. But they didn’t so I’ll have to come up with something. Right now I’m just using the box it came in. But that’s a small gripe. Overall I think the size and power is excellent for my purposes. Highly recommended.

The Anker Solix C300X DC Generator KIt is a well designed portable powerhouse with 90,000 mAh and 300 watts. It is approximately 8"H x 5" w x 5" d and weighs 6lbs 4oz.
In the box you get the power bank, a portable and foldable solar panel with cables, a usb-c 140 watt cable, and a short strap to carry by hand and a longer strap. Both straps are heavy duty..
My unit came with a 50% charge, so the first thing I did was fully charge it using the 140 watt charging cable with a 120 watt wall adapter. The adapter is not included in the box.
There are 3 ways to charge. You can use either 1 or 2 of the 140 watt usb-c ports, you can use the car adapter port, or you can use the solar panels. Though I used only 1 of the 140 watt usb-c ports to charge, the time to charge was relatively quick.
There are a total of 7 charging outlets. 2 usb-a (12 watts), 4 usb-c (1 15w, 1 100w, 2 140w), and a car socket. You can charge multiple devices simultaneously such as phones, laptops, tablets, even a mini fridge.
When you turn the power on the display shows the power remaining. When you are charging a device the display will also show which port is being used, the wattage output to that device and the time remaining to a full charge. The display is bright and well designed however some of that information is rather small and could be hard to read.
There is a light located at the top. You can adjust the brightness to 3 levels. Also the light can be physically raised or lowered or tilted side to side so that you can direct the appropriate amount of light to a specific area. This is very clever and very useful. It can be used to light a tent if camping or can light a room during a blackout.
I have charged 2 phones and a laptop and it handled it with ease. The 300X DC is well vented and stays cool during recharging and while charging devices.
It is also very important to note that the 300X DC has excellent power retention when not in use. After charging some devices the unit showed 78% power remaining. I left it powered off for 3 weeks and when I turned it back on it still showed 78% power remaining.
I have taken this on daily trips where power was not available, however one of the main reasons I have this is because I live in South Florida where hurricane season lasts for 6 months and power outages are not uncommon and can last days or weeks if you are unfortunate enough to be affected. This gives me peace of mind that I will have power available to stay in contact in such an event, and that I will continue to be able to recharge using the solar panels.
The solar panels are flexible and fold up to the size of a book.
I am very happy with the Anker Solix 300X DC. It is very well designed, very intuitive to use and has a quality look and feel. Anker gives a 3 year warranty on the main unit and 2 year warranty on the solar panels.I highly recommend this product.

C300X DC Is Excellent; Solar Panel Not So Much
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
In summary, this kit is the Anker Solix C300X DC battery bank (C300X DC) is an excellent powerhouse in every sense of that phrase and an easy 5-star products. Sadly, the companion 60w solar power panel did not feel like it was well matched to the C300X DC even if its fully compatible.
I’ll get into the details below, but I rate it a 3-star. As such, I rate the entire package 4-stars which is the average of 5-stars for the C300X DC and 3-stars for the included 60w solar panel. It might be fine for someone who wants to dabble with solar power generation, but I think anyone who will regularly depend on solar power generation for the C300X DC will be happier buying a more capable and easier to use solar panel separately.
THE VERSITILE C300X DC
The flexibility and engineering put into the C300 DC, to me, makes it a monster-sized value in a pint-sized form factor. While my primary motivation for ordering it was as a “lifeline” during extended power failures, I’ve incorporated in other uses until that time comes. For example, I routinely take it with my laptop to work in locations where power outlets are not predictably or readily available. I don’t do a lot camping, but it will be in my kit when I do. It’s ideal for that and so many other uses where having portable power comes into play.
With 288-watt hours it has plenty of juice to keep my laptop, external SSDs, and phone alive for multiple days. I do a lot of video and photo editing on my laptop which is a tremendous battery drain. Before I had the C300X DC I was lucky if my laptop lasted a few hours before threatening me with impending shutdown.
What I love about the C300X DC aside from its massive battery for its size, is that its ports are no compromise. It’s not uncommon to find battery banks that have lots of ports. The problem is when you go to use them all at once power output to each device decreases.
The C300 DC’s ports though perform at each’s max rating until the C300 DC’s 300w rated power is reached. So fast charging a 140w laptop and a 15w phone or tablet simultaneously is no problem. You can even charge two 140w laptops simultaneously. If the C300X DC is being strained its circuitry will trigger a shutdown for safety, but I have yet to have that happen with some crazy configurations. This battery bank is tough and reliable.
The C300X DC has four USB-C ports, two rated at 140w input and output, and one 100w and one 15w which are power out only. The 140w ports are all business. You can connect each to a 140w charger to super-fast charge an empty C300X DC in under an hour or use one port to charge the C300X DC while the other fast charges a device. There are also a couple USB-A ports for lower powered devices. Additionally, there is a car 12v output and XT-60 solar power input port. (I’ll discuss solar power in a bit).
Because of this generous port availability and simultaneous usability, I frequently use the C300X DC as a charging dock at home for all my USB-C devices. I prefer the cleanness of this to multiple USB-C fast chargers clogging up all my electrical outlets.
I’m not concerned about depleting the C300X DC because it has a LiFePo4 battery which means it should have a year’s long lifespan and it’s better for their “health” to use them than let them sit idle in the closet. It’s not uncommon for LiFePo4 batteries to rot if they are left unused. I’ll add that LiFePo4 batteries are more stable than other kinds of lithium batteries, so I appreciate that aspect too. But as a reminder, a battery this big isn’t allowed on airplanes.
IT'S LIT
Like many power banks, the C300X DC sports a light, but the C300 DC’s is more akin to a lantern and illuminates 360 degrees outward. It has 3 brightness levels, with the lowest level equivalent to a night light and the brightest to a 25w incandescent bulb. It’s enough light to illuminate your immediate surroundings but not much further. It’s nice to have in a pinch but it’s not a substitute for a flashlight.
That brings me to a couple minor quibbles I have with the C300 DC. While the light is great for general use it’s still hard to see the ports. I wish the ports were backlit or had reflective or glow-in-the-dark outlines. Also, the ports labels are inexplicably black on black and impossible to read without a flashlight (and maybe a magnifying glass). The C300 DC’s owner might memorize each port’s location and abilities, but a guest user would be totally lost. Second, given the C300 DC’s obvious camping/hiking application it would be nice if the light had an “SOS” emergency flashing mode. Maybe that could be added in a firmware update.
Finally, I’ll mention that while the battery bank is not light, for what it is and does. it’s not heavy either. It has a robust built-in handle, but also comes with a removable shoulder strap. The strap, though, is only borderline useful to me because it has no shoulder padding and digs into my clavicle. I carry mine in a sling-style case that has its own padded strap. I could walk miles with it this way.
APP-SOLUTELY UNECESSARY
Personally, I’m weary of the proliferation of device smartphone apps. It’s e-clutter to me, especially when the app doesn’t really do anything. And that is the case here. From my perspective, the only half-legitimate purpose of the app is to provide firmware updates. Everything else it offers is of limited value to me. The app is basically a mirror of the C300 DC’s info panel plus the ability to remotely change its illumination and light settings. I will give Anker credit though for not requiring an account or sign in to use it.
THE C300X DC SHINES BUT SOLAR PANEL GAVE ME SUN BURN
The included solar panel, unfortunately, is not as equally great product as it’s kit-mate. Functionally it’s fine. My displeasure with it is entirely with its flimsiness and clumsy design that makes it too painful for me to want to use. If you only plan to use it infrequently or just want to toy around with solar power generation without making a larger cost outlay this kit may work well for you. But if you are an avid camper or hiker, the smart money is in buying a panel with easier setup and more stable in even light breezy conditions.
The 60w solar panel comes neatly folded as a compact, packable rectangle. It’s kept in place by two straps that snap to the panel. No case is included but it has a built-in carry handle. The XT-60 power cord tucks inside and is also removable. Unsnap the straps and it unfolds into two strips of four solar panels connected by reinforced fabric. It’s a clever design that unfortunately I found to be vexing to set up and impractical to use in all but the quietest weather conditions.
It’s frustrating because set up and break down is a too involved process that goes like this:
1. Pull out stands from back and secure on Velcro strip. There’s 4 stands total. Make sure the straps run exactly on the Velcro strip to provide support or the stand will list.
2. Snap in the elastic band at each stand.
I found it to be an annoying process – it shouldn’t take as effort to set up a solar panel as it does a small tent. But then, after all that work, the parts of the panel still tilt backwards, unable to capture the sun effectively. And if a 15mph breeze swings by the panel collapses like a snowman in the Mojave Desert. The straps unsnap and you must begin again. It’s not how I want to spend my time camping.
Then there is pack up time, which is almost as agonizing. Folding the panel up correctly is part Rubik’s Cube, part Origami. OK, it’s not brain surgery, but figuring out what gets folded when is the opposite of relaxing. In comparison, with hard panels, you just flip out the stand and done.
BOTTOM LINE – IT’S A SPLIT DECISION
The C300X DC is maybe the best choice available for a reliable, compact, generously powered and ported battery bank. It really does punch above its weight class, and it has so many use cases it’s become indispensable to me.
The solar panel in this kit though, to me, is more trouble than it’s worth. If you are depending on solar power generation skip this kit, buy the C300X DC separately along with Anker’s less cumbersome100-watt panel. (BTW a 100W panel is the max for the C300X DC). But, if you just want a solar panel for occasional use or dabble with, it’s set up flaws may be minor to the discount by buying it as part of this kit.

As the title states, we were hit by multiple storms here in TX including heavy thunderstorms and lots of hail recently. The Anker Solix came in as a life saver during these times letting me keep my essential electronics charged (phone, laptop etc).
In the box is the power station itself, solar panel all folded up, various cables including extension, solar, etc and a strap to switch out with the already installed carrying one.
You can charge the Solix via the included solar panel or 1-2 of the 3 (center and right) USB-C ports. Up to 140 W per and using 2 will charge the power bank faster. I used my phone charger to originally get it to 100% and it was fairly quick considering it's massive capacity.
When in use, the Anker let's you know what your power draw is and also gives you an ETA on how much power you have until you need to charge again. Portability is a huge selling point. It is just a tab above 6 lbs and you can easily carry it around with you while like on hikes/camping.
Ports are a plenty for you devices. 2x USB A, 4x USB C and even a car socket. I have had the bank power 2 phones 3 tablets and 2 laptops during periods of no power and still had charge to spare before the house power came back on. Truly thankful for that.
The light on the top is also a nifty feature built in with 3 different levels of brightness. Great for outdoors or lighting up a room in a home.
No matter when needs you have, the Anker Solix C300X is a great battery bank for traveling/camping/hiking but also amazing life saving during times of power outages. I'd recommend to all just to have peace of mind knowing you devices will last a long time.

Anker is a leading brand in power bank products and I was excited to get my hands on this power bank/generator. It is not lightweight however there is a sturdy strap attached to the device used to carry it. The material reminds me of seatbelts. There are plenty of ports of varying types to allow several devices to charge simultaneously using different connections. The charging speed varies depending on which USB port you use. The first time I charged my phone using this it charged in record time and I was very impressed. This item is efficiently packaged and I charged it upon unboxing. I cannot tell exactly how long charging this device took as I plugged it in right before going to bed however it was ready to go when I woke. This device is compatible with the Anker app and once connected you are able to adjust the devices setting through the app. I like that this device can also be used as a light source with the built in lamp. The Solix can also be charged with a solar panel making it perfect for outdoor use or in emergency situations when the power is out. This device is truly powerful and heavy duty. I definitely recommend this product.

These days with all of the storms and other events that cause power to go out, it’s more important than ever to have something to be able to at least charge your devices during these outages. I had a previous version of the Solix Power Station and loved it. The Solix C300X DC is an update and I love this one even more.
Power Stations or Battery Banks as some call them, are basically large enclosed batteries that you can charge, with a variety of ports on them so you can plug in your devices to recharge them, or run small appliances if you need to. In the case of the C300X DC, you have several power ports, including two older-school USB-A type ports at 12 watts each, two newer USB-C 140 watt ports, and a standard USB-C 15 watt port, along with a 120 watt car adapter port. This model does not offer traditional A/C plug ports, although there is another very similar model Anker offers just above this one that does. There is a small screen to show you the input and output plus charge level of the Anker, as well as a pop-up light that has several brightness levels you can choose from the front button controls. A strap makes it easy to carry around. A solar port on the front allows you to charge it with up to a 100 watt solar panel (mine came with one along with the cables needed) or you can use one or two USB-C higher speed chargers to recharge the unit via the front ports as well.
The 300X DC has newer LiFePO4 batteries that are an update over older Lithium-ion batteries, and will allow you to recharge the power station up to 3,000 times before you see a noticeable degrade in storage capacity. At 90,000 mah, there’s tons of stored power when full to keep things juiced up before a station recharge is needed. They also keep their charge longer when sitting and not being used, so you don’t have to constantly top off the charge. At just barely above 6 pounds, it’s not heavy, and at under 5x8x7 inches, It’s not at all bulky and can be stored just about anywhere.
Do be aware, it does take a while to fully charge the C300X DC. Even using two higher speed chargers, it took a while. Using one will take several hours, and if trying to recharge using the solar panel, it could take the better part of a day in direct, bright, sunlight. But it’s also free power when you use solar, too. Just be prepared for the time it takes, and be prepared to reposition the solar panels over the hours so they keep getting direct sunlight.
The USB-A and USB-C ports on the front will allow you to charge laptops, tablets, phones, and really most smaller items that use those types of cables, even several devices at once. It cannot power full-sized appliances like refrigerators or large TVs, and isn’t appropriate for high-power devices like heaters or hair driers due to it’s max output of around 288 wh, although it can handle shorter bursts of more depending on the device. For larger devices, you will need a much larger and higher capacity power station, but the C300X DC is perfect for not only recharging things around the house, but also for taking out for the day for picnics, or even camping. I was on the deck one evening with a USB lamp and laptop going on this, while also charging my phone. No problem.
My advice? If you can swing it, I tell folks to have two of these handy, along with one of the solar panels at least. That way, in the event of an extended power outage, you have one you can use through the day while charging the second one outside. This way you can rotate and in the event of a longer outage you can at least keep critical devices and a light or so going. Again, for heavier appliance needs, check into larger units for that.
I do highly recommend the Anker C300X DC along with it’s siblings for not only personal use, but also as gifts. Just make one last note that they do not include a higher speed power plug/brick with this. I suggest investing a few more dollars into at least a 65 watt or higher USB-C plug and cable for recharging. Otherwise, thumbs up!

I believe that everyone needs a portable power station nowadays. With how connected we are to the internet and social media, when the electricity goes out, we often find ourselves in a panic. The Anker Solix 300X DC Portable Power Station is truly a must-have. It comes with seven outlets, which is more than enough to keep everyone's devices charged and more.
Recently, our power was shut off due to the fires in LA, and we were caught by surprise. Thankfully, my Anker Solix was fully charged. Not only were we able to charge our phones, but we also used the light included on top of the power station. The light is designed like a pop-up, made of rubber, which can easily be pushed back down when not in use. Even with all that use the battery usage went down by 20% which is not bad at all, we could have gone maybe a few more days with lots of battery life.
However, one downside that I dislike about many companies is the lack of a power adapter. Unfortunately, this Anker Portable Power Station does not come with one, so you'll need to purchase it separately. I have a 65W adapter, and it takes about 15 hours to fully charge the power station. It sucks but gets the job done. This is definitely a must have in every home. It also comes with a strap so it can be carried if needed.
You can go ahead and download the app but its not really necessary in my opinion.

The Anker Solix C300x is ideal for maintaining WiFi connectivity during power outages, and the ability to recharge using solar panels was a major factor in the purchasing decision. I am pleased with the purchase and glad to have a solution when the power goes out.
