Small but mighty power wherever you need it

Whether you're looking for some power while you travel or when you're roughing it or you just want a to power some things where you don't want to run a huge extension cord, this is a great power bank.
Setup is as easy as taking it out of the box. It's ready to go. You might need to charge it up a little bit but mine came about half charged right out of the box. There's also an app you can use to look at some more detailed stats like how much power each outlet is pulling and how much total is being used.
With a handle on top and an optional strap, the size of this battery is pretty perfect for what it offers. It's really easy to take literally anywhere you need it. It's also not crazy heavy or anything so I mean it when I say it's super easy to take with you virtually anywhere.
Your options for power include a 12v car adapter plug, three 120v standard 3 prong plugs, two 140w USB-C outlets, one 15w USB-C outlet and a 12w USB-A outlet. There's also an input for both a standard power cord you can plug in at home as well as a solar panel plug if you have solar panels for when you are away from home. Each section of outputs has it's own switch to turn them on or off so you can control what's getting power. There's also a screen that gives you some basic information about how much charge is left in and a couple other tidbits. I would have liked to see a button I could press to toggle what main information was displayed but it's not a huge deal that you can't do that.
The main reason it's not a huge deal is because of the app. I really like the app. It's nicely designed. It does ask you to log in, but it also allows you to skip the login and just connect to your battery via bluetooth. I'm all for any company that offers the ability to NOT log in just to access their battery. You do get some extra functionality if you log in, like the ability to connect to your battery via wifi or saving your battery so you don't have to reconnect to it if you get a new device. Not a huge dealbreaker so I opted to just use bluetooth.
The app displays a lot of really nice information about each port and how much power they are consuming or drawing as well as the overall charge level of the battery. It's not super complicated and there isn't really much else but I really like seeing the breakdown and the app is designed nicely so it all looks really nice.
There's a light as well. Most things have a light. I guess it's nice that the light is included so if you're camping or something, you don't need to plug in an extra item. Just turn on the light to illuminate the area.
Overall, I was really impressed with this battery. It's really compact. It packs a ton of outlets so you can charge or power so many things. I was able to run a pretty powerful laptop while also charging my phone and another device all at once and I was able to monitor how much each thing was drawing on the app. I'll definitely be taking this anywhere I may need some power for short-ish periods of time. Even if it's just a room in the house where reaching a wired outlet is a little difficult. It's just that nice to move around. I think a lot of people could use one of these so if you're in the market for one, add this to your short list of ones to check out.

Great Power Station for Camping and Power Outages

Anker has been my go-to for cables, chargers, and power banks for a long time and they’ve always been reliable. The C300X has been no different and for somebody who tends to tote a lot of technology with me, it’s great to have such a versatile power station for camping and the occasional power outage. It’s well-built and it has a ton of options for both charging and recharging.
The box contains the power station, a carrying strap, and an AC cable. The power station is solidly built and includes a built-in handle, as well as the points to attach the carrying strap. It’s very compact for what it is and the strap is comfortable, but it’s heavy enough that I think it would be uncomfortable to carry over a significant distance. I wouldn’t have any problems taking this outside, but as far as I can see it doesn’t have any water or dustproofing, so bear that in mind.
For ports, you get:
- 3 USB-C, two of which output 140W and one at 12W. One of the 140W ports can also be used as an input for recharging
- 1 USB-A that outputs 12W
- 1 XT60 port for solar and car recharging
- 1 Car Socket
- 3 AC outlets that support a maximum 300W output
In addition to the ports, there is a built-in light with adjustable brightness and an LCD screen that shows the charge level, active inputs/outputs, and an estimated runtime. You can also connect the power station via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and control it from the Anker app.
I was able to connect and charge from all 3 USB-C ports at the same time and charged my drone batteries, laptop, and GoPro at full speed. During that time I drained about 30% of the power station’s battery, though the rate and amount drain is obviously going to depend on what you have connected to it. Each of the different port sections outside of the USB ports are enabled selectively by hitting the buttons on the power station. The app works well and is convenient, though ultimately doesn’t give any additional functionality that isn’t already on the device itself, which is good for those who don’t want to install yet another app for their device.
Overall I’m really happy with the C300X and it’s a great compact device that provides a lot of power for any camping or outdoor activities, power outages, or just in a spot it would be inconvenient to run power to. I will eventually be adding the PS100 solar panel to this in the future.

Power to go wherever you go

This power station has been a wonder from the first charge.
Let's start with my favorite feature, the visible power management. I have several power stations, and while they have a battery indicator, they do not give a clear idea of how much power remains. The Anker's LCD gives that and more. How much power is being used, the overall battery percentage, and most useful for me, how much time is left should I continue using under these conditions. Having that latter number really helps with power management and expectations on the go.
On the actual usage, the battery packs serious juice. In the picture below, I was on a trip charging my DJI batteries, my cellphone, and a Bose speaker. All devices were fast simultaneously fast charging with no symptoms of overheating. Plenty of different ports with variable currents to plug and play whatever you need.
A few reference points for power. Using the Samsung Freestyle projector, I could watch 3-4 movies before needing a recharge. I could charge my phone multiple times. During a mini heatwave, I connected it to a Vortex room fan, which could run for several hours, and a high power air blower fan, which would only give about an hour and a half. My laptop could recharge at least twice.
For portability, note the strap in convenient and it does sport a smaller footprint that other portable power stations, but it does weigh 10lbs. Simply clipping it to a carabiner and running around may not be feasible, but if you can manage the weight in your gear, it will definitely hold its weight in functionality.
It will also do well in an emergency. Great power, bright flashlight with emergency mode built-in, and app navigation to manage power from another room. I would trust this in my emergency kit.
The only negative is I would have preferred two USB-A ports and small on-the-go fans, light, etc. still use those being they are usually made to be powered by standard USB. Not a major issue as I have several convertors if needed.
Great portable power wherever you need it, wherever you're going.

Perfect tailgating companion!

I got this this little solar generator just in time for the Brewers' post season run and some spectacular end of summer sunshine! The Anker SOLIX C300X is very lightweight and portable, weighing only about 9 pounds in total, definitely something that you could sling over your shoulder and carry with you on a hike like Anker's website shows, but I'd rather just set it on a table or my balcony. It charges incredibly fast via the AC wall plug and can be used as a UPS (uninterruptable power supply), pretty fast via the two-way 140-watt USB-C port, and in about 3 hours with decent sunshine and a 100-watt solar panel (I think that's fast for what it is, but I think Anker could've bumped it up to being 200-watt capable). On a full solar charge, I was able to run my 32" 4k TV/Monitor streaming baseball & movies for 6 hours while also charging a Sony Bluetooth speaker and two phones! While tailgating, we were able to keep running for the full 3.5 hours we were in the parking lot at AmFam Field running the same 32" monitor, charging phones, and running a small griddle (pulling ~100w). I had deployed our solar panel on the roof of our car to maximize the sunlight, brat grilling and bag toss space! This thing works great! I wouldn't run a full griddle off of it or expect it to operate a microwave or heavy-duty coffee maker at all or for long, it only has a max boost of 600 watts and a normal AC draw of 300 wats, but those 3 AC outlets are amazing to have!
Overall, I would highly recommend this amazing little solar generator if you're looking for a convenient little solar battery generator to power your camp, patio, tailgating adventure, or hike (if you're like the guy in the pictures!). When this is teamed up with a nice foldable solar panel, it's portability is unbeatable! If you don't need the AC plugs, don't worry! Anker makes the same one in a DC only version with a pop-up light instead of the neat light bar!

The Anker Solix Portable power station is very convenient, and I found it to be more useful than I originally thought.
The Solix has many different types of power options, both can be used to directly power your devices and/ charge them. There is a small LCD screen on the front that is used to display the current power left on the charger, as well as other useful information like remaining charging/power time available. There is also a pretty strong LED light on the top that has 3 different levels of brightness.
When it comes to how useful the Solix is, it’s a great size for travelling around, especially bringing along on road trips. I was able to use my laptop while plugged into the Solix, and it would give me about 3-4hours of constant use. It’s also nice to have by me, whenever I’m without a wall outlet. Actually, I found that I have been using it more in that case than I do when I travel.
The Solix can be charged in a few different ways: the included 3 prong charging cable, a solar panel, car charging cable and a 140w USB-C cable. Keep in mind if you want to use any other cable, it will cost you extra. For instance, if you want to use a solar panel, you need to not only buy the panel, but you also have to buy the charging cable sold separately. I feel like they could have included some more cables in the box, at least the car charging cable.
Overall, I like the Anker Solix power station. I find it to be useful in many different ways, like being able to plug in my laptop while using it, charging all my small electronics, but mostly I love how I now have a portable wall outlet right at my side. Although, I do wish the company had included more cables in the box. I understand that’s their business model, but it goes a long way for the consumer when they see they are getting a little extra instead of not enough.

The Perfect Power Station

I've purchased multiple Anker power stations over the last few years. With each year, they keep getting better. With that said, the SOLIX C300X is definitely the best of them all. It is lightweight, well designed and solidly built. It is also the perfect capacity for anything I would need to remotely charge.
Unboxing and setup
Inside the box was the 288Wh power station, a three prong power cable and a carry strap. Out of the box the power station is ready to use. But, in order to access the other smart features I had to use the Anker app on my phone. As I mentioned earlier I already own some other Solix devices so I only needed to add the new power station to my account. To do that I just clicked on the plus symbol and clicked through a few menus to set up the wireless connection. In all it only took about 3 minutes.
Performance
I am glad Anker has upgraded its battery tech to LiFePO4 batteries. These are the same type of batteries that are used in electric vehicles so they are proven to be able to go through multiple charges and discharges. The CX300 and its 288 watt hours was enough to charge my dead 12 volt lawn mower battery, Two Laptops, a smartphone and smartwatch, and it still had 20% of available power remaining. When it was time to recharge the power station using the provided charging cable the battery reached 100% capacity in just under an hour. The power station also supports other charging options such as USB-C and solar. They both are limited in speed when compared to the included power cord. But are great options in scenarios where I may forget the power cord or want to charge off grid.
With that said, I love this power station and I am sure you will too. I highly recommend it.

Perfect balance between portability and power

I own quite a few battery packs, but I have wanted a power station to be able to charge outlet devices when I am camping or hiking. I wanted a portable unit, but still wanted enough power to recharge my drones, phone, and laptop multiple times.
I have owned the Anker Solix C300X for a couple weeks now and mostly used it on a couple camping trips. The power station charged quickly from an AC outlet and was ready in about an hour. After downloading the app, I became aware that recharge rate can be changed to a lower rate of 100W up to the default 330W rate via the AC charging cable.
I would greatly recommend downloading the app. There is, most likely, a firmware update while the app provides a lot more features. The firmware update took about 5 minutes, required the phone to be close by, and was connect to AC.
There is an optional solar panel which can be purchased. As of this review, the only option is a bulky ~22”x24” (folded) version. I hope to see a more compact version in the future.
I wanted to see how much the C300X could handle and was pleased to find the power station went into protection mode to prevent damage since I was drawing too much power. I did not test the 600W surge mode, but I have no doubts on its claims.
This power station is the perfect balance between portability and available power while keeping the price reasonable. I recommend this Anker Solix C300X power station to anyone who would like a portable power station.

Small and limited, but great backup option

Anker switching out regular lithium batteries for the LIFEPO4 batteries with reported longer life and more charge cycles. Plus 5 year Anker warranty backing up this little box, you should be able to use this for many years. The C300x power station includes all current USB-A & C ports and a few 120v house outlets for small electronics. Even the old standby 12v cigarette socket. There is also a light that is sufficient for outages, but more three level night light than whole room illumination. Just know that even with 300 watts/600w surge this is not going to power most home appliances you might want to use during a power outage. Think of this power station mostly to power your phone, handheld game and maybe extend usage of most laptops that are not for gaming. Light powered devices work great on this charger. My cell phones used about 8-10% of the total battery per charge (phone at 20% back to full). Just remember to plug into power before an outage or traveling. It is simple with the included household plug. Or if you buy a solar panel that is compatible, you can get free recharge off the sun with a bit of time and sun. Sadly Anker chose not to include any USB-A or USB-C cables or even a storage trunk (compartment) on device for cables you will need to use the power station. However, they did include a nice carry strap if you choose to tote this around on trips. The C300x weight feels similar to a gallon of milk, not too heavy. The build quality feels very stout. No cheapness here. All the plastic feels great. From the handle, buttons, down to the rubber feet pads.
You may not want another phone app, but Anker has done a nice job with the Anker app. It's decent, very easy to use and understand. Plus, it is required to install updates to the Solix. It lets you monitor everything connected and provides plenty of information if charging and not able to look at the devices screen. It does a good job.
After a few days of using the power station. My limited knowledge has me pondering why my Pixel 9 pro pulses 3-4 times when first connected to charge. It is a little vibration and phone screen flashes. I assume this is some sort of hand shake to determine max charging between the station and phone when using port "C2 140w USB-C". After the dance, the phone goes to Fast Charging and in the end it tops up the phone and neither device feels hot. The only thing that ever got warm is the power station on household 120v when recharging. Its fan kicks on and puts out decent amount of heat. Seems normal. So all is good and will keep my eyes out for a larger unit to power more of my house. I know Anker is in the whole house power sector now. Anker you have my attention :)

We have infrequent power outages so this isn't a necessity, but it's so nice to have just in case. This particular model has the usual USB-C/USB-A connections PLUS a DC connection (think the cigarette lighter socket in your car) AND several AC outlets. You won't be running any appliances off of this, it's more for like a laptop charger, lamp, etc., but that is very versatile.
So far so good with our Anker power station, the little LCD screen is very informative and it charges quickly via the regular wall outlet. It's heavy but it's a giant battery so that's to be expected. We did not purchase solar panels (they're expensive) but would consider it in the future if it goes on sale.
All in all, this definitely makes me feel better knowing we'll always be able to use a lamp and charge our phones during a power outage. It will also come in handy going off the grid or to an event.

The C300X: a great little portable solar generator
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The Anker SOLIX C300X is a small portable power station and solar generator that offers some really great functionality and enough energy storage to keep your essential devices charged on the go. It can recharge via a solar panel, AC from the wall, or DC from a 12V vehicle output. It offers a large number of USB ports and AC receptacles compared to the competition.
To be clear: this isn't the kind of solar generator you need to keep essential appliances running in a power outage, or even make a cup of drip coffee at your off-grid campsite, BUT if you're looking for an ultra-portable way to take solar rechargeable energy storage on the go, this is one of the best options on the market.
Pros:
• Ultra portable at just 9 lbs
• Safe, reliable LiFePO4 battery cells
• Lots of USB and AC ports for charging multiple devices
• 300W of continuous output is enough to run a desktop computer and full sized monitor, or charge 3 Macbooks at the same time
• 10ms passthrough UPS gives you peace of mind for small backup jobs
• App control over bluetooth or wifi
• Front light bar provides some nice illumination options
• Comes with carry strap
Cons:
• You can use up 288 Wh faster than you might think
• 100W solar charging limit means it can be slow to recharge if you need a lot of power
• Relatively inefficient inverter only outputs 83.3% of rated capacity on the AC side, just 69.5% of what it takes from the wall (more on this below)
Full review:
I have really been enjoying the early days using the Anker SOLIX C300X. I love how easy it is to use and how it gives me options for power in the wilderness without weighing a lot. I love the UPS function and how it can keep my PC running in the event of a power outage when I'm home. Finally, I love the design and portability.
Part of my full time job is to test solar panels and portable solar generators, and I am really impressed with the growth in quality and functionality we have seen in this space in the recent past.
Modern solar generators almost exclusively use the safer lithium iron phosphate (LFP for short) cell chemistry and all come with relatively good inverters. Anker products, in particular, are known for their cohesive design touches, usability, and great app interface.
The C300X is the absolute entry level when it comes to a portable power station, but it provides some great features nonetheless. One very nice perk is a fully embedded AC charger. That means you only need a simple cord to charge the unit from the wall, with no bulky AC adapter and long cords to manage.
The UPS function is also especially intriguing for people who want a small amount of backup for a PC or medical device like a CPAP machine. It allows current from the wall to pass through to the devices plugged into the AC ports, and turns on within 10ms of an outage to keep them running for as long as the battery can last.
In my testing, I wasn't able to get the C300X to fully run my full-sized fridge, but it does offer enough power to run my home office setup for over an hour in an outage.
Speaking of testing, I ran the numbers on the efficiency of the inverter inside. I plugged in a couple fans that ran the unit at over 200W continuous power draw. It was capable of meeting that power need for a little over an hour, ultimately serving 239 Wh to run the fans before shutting down. That means that 83.3% of the stated energy capacity is available through the AC plugs.
I also tested charging. From completely drained, the C300X took 344 Wh to charge. All together, that means you'll need to draw 344 Wh from an AC energy source to provide 239 Wh to the AC outlets of the unit—a round-trip efficiency of just 69.5%. Not amazing, but not unexpected. The value this unit provides is more about having some stored energy avaiable when you need it.
As for solar charging, I tested charging this with a 100W solar panel, and found that it did a good job providing most of the charging I might need in a day. Of course a 100W solar panel can only output 100W under the perfect conditions, so I mostly got between 50 and 75 watts most of the time. At that intensity, it takes 4 to 5 hours in the sun to recharge the battery to full.
I think you could charge the C300X from a higher wattage panel, as long as you make sure to stay within the unit's 11-to-28W voltage limit. At its maximum rated input voltage, the unit should limit the amperage it allows to flow into the batteries to 8.2A. That would mean you could hit the 100W max charging limit and refill the battery in just over 2 hours of full sun.
Bottom line: The SOLIX C300X is great for what it is, and maybe the most portable unit in its class. I would recommend this to a friend with limited charging needs. This unit is perfect for refilling smartphone batteries. keeping a laptop running, or charging drone batteries over a long off-grid weekend, as long as there is some solar or vehicle recharging available.
For more serious needs like running a space heater or coffee maker, look for something with at least 1500 watts of continuous output and more like 2 kWh of energy storage.

Fantastic Power Bank for Home and Travel

Anker is well-known for making great portable charging and lithium ion battery devices like power banks, chargers, anything that keeps your battery-powered devices better and the C300X adds another fantastic device to their portfolio with a portable charging power station that allows multiple outputs and a smart capability that also tells you how much each connected device is drawing, how much sustained output the C300X has left in minutes, and how much charge % it has leftover.
You can connect via the Anker app, which gives you info on how much each connected device is drawing, what temperature the battery housing is, and what % and remaining usage time at the current output as mentioned. I was able to charge and use a thin/light XPS13 drawing 60W, my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and M.2 iPad Air all at the same time without any issues and the C300X showed it could sustain that level of output for 4 Hours.
It also tells you how fast it will charge via AC 120V input. You can also charge the C300X using an optional solar panel kit and while the marketing documentation shows someone carrying this thing with solar panels charging, unless you are really out on some outdoor expedition without a power source and need to power a bunch of devices, I'm not sure how feasible this really is given the C300X weighs about 10lbs and is kind of big to sling around, although it is very compact for what it is.
What the C300X is absolutely perfect for is Camping where you can stick it by the camp fire or inside a tent and power or charge your devices. Or at the beach, where you can stick it under an umbrella or shade shelter and power your tunes or even a small fan for your kids. I also use it for powering my BBQ equipment where I sometimes run out of power near the end of a long cook, I can plug my FireBoard2 into the C300X and get some extra power.
There's also a built-in light, a nice carrying handle, Car Port, 120V, USB-A and USB-C outputs. Truly a great travel companion outside the house, but also a great power/charging hub inside the house. You can even use it like a UPS if you wanted to by plugging it in near your internet router and plugging your router into the C300X to keep it running if your power goes out. Given the router only uses 45W or so, you can power it for about 6 hours with the C300X to keep your internet going.

Portable power for the people

I've been using the Anker SOLIX C300X portable power station for a few weeks now and it’s a great product --- but set your expectations. This station is compact and easily fits into a bookbag or you can carry it on its own and use the included shoulder strap. It also has a handle and feels really solid with great build quality.
I took it out with some friends on a recent football tailgate where it charged five cell phone simultaneously using both Type C and regular outlets (it can charge up to 7 at the same time). We were even able to watch the end of the previous games before going into the stadium, but with a 288 Watt hour capacity, it won’t last forever (if you don't have solar panels). We were very cautious to get the most juice out of it, but this was actually quite easy with the built in display that calculates the remaining battery life in real-time.
This is not meant to replace your generators – so before the recent hurricanes, we fully charged the Anker power station in case we needed to charge our computers. At the lowest power settings, my home televisions still draw 90 Watts/hour, which results in 3 hours of battery life, so that wasn’t going to be a viable option. If necessary, I had intended to use it to power my cable modem on occasion. So my biggest piece of advice is just to plan in advance at this product will come in really handy UNLESS you spring for some solar cells. Anker sells some convenient and foldable/portable solar panels that will charge this device. I recently received mine, and while it was easy to setup, I realized that getting the full 100 Watt solar charging is only in perfect conditions.
This will be really valuable while going camping but it will add some weight to your trip. Which reminds me – it has a very powerful flashlight, which is a nice added bonus. But if you are going to a remote location, this will provide a nice option for people who have limited access to power.
So all in, this is a great device for people who are in need of short-term power– just have a plan and be prepared to keep an eye on the remaining capacity OR get some solar panels to provide extra juice.

Been playing with this and the app that you can download from the App Store. I haven’t pushed them to the rates wattage but so far it’s done a good job with simultaneous output and turbo charging. I’m not fully convinced turbo charging is ok so I would get the app dial it down to 100 watts if you aren’t in a hurry.
The led light built onto the unit is quite pleasant as it lets people know where the battery is sitting on the ground or used as a small ambient light. Draws 1 to 3 watts depending in the brightness you select.
It’s quite easily carryable with the provided strap so must give that some credit.
So far so good will have to see how I feel about it in a few more weeks as I begin to push cycles on it.
Overall Anker has been putting out some solid products and would heavily recommend this if you are in the market for a portable power station.

as we enter hurricane season, I decided to purchase portable power stations and solar panels when the power goes out. knowing the quality of other Anker products I've bought in the past, I decided to go with Anker's power stations.
so far very pleased. using a universal 100-watt solar panel, this station charges in several hours on a very sunny day in Florida. to get the best charging angle with my portable solar panel, I open the Anker app and immediately see if the power/wattage input increased or decreased as I move the panel to capture the most power from the sun.
I also own another c300 and the c1000 that has enough power to keep my full-size refrigerator running during blackouts.
anker makes quality products and is the brand I compare all others to. if product features and price are the same for multiple brands, I almost always select anker because I know it will be well made.

This unit is very compact and has a lot of power for such a small device.
It easily powered our 48 ft string lights for two days with a recharge.

Perfect companion for my Starlink Mini. Used it to power the dish for work and lasted about 8-9hrs while the mini was pulling ad average 30W including heating the dish. Device charges up to 300W and has 3 AC input along with cig plug, 1 USB-A and 3X-USBC. Wish at least 2 USBC were at least able to charge at 140W/100W at the same time in tome when out in the woods but is not a deal breaker. Solar XT60 included for charging as well. Must have for those that are mobile a lot and is light to carry around. Well made and LipoE is the future of portable power!
