Great for beginners or even people with experience. Great ecosystem. Easy to use. Amazing quality especially for how fast it is. Very satisfied so far. Even ordered an M5 because of how much I loved this and that is working great as well. Much more user friendly than Bambu. Better service and support aswell. The m5c is definitely quieter though. Has a wider temp range ASWELL. I recommend a tent for both because of fumes. Which is standard with all printers

This is a great start to 3d printing for the right price. The app is very easy to use and already set up to help you with any maintenance you need to do on it or preset temperatures. I would recommend this as a starter or introduction to printing. However i do find the lack of built in camera is a let down but i use my extra Yi home camera on it or I've read a wyze camera is what others use but still all in all pretty good

I got into 3D printing this year and this was my first printer and it did not disappoint (I upgraded to Bambi lab printers now). It was an easy printer to learn and get the hang of 3D printing. I’m still using it to this day. It’s been great so far (I have had it for 6 months). It prints almost all day with no issues. I have had to switch out the nozzle (very easy to do) and have had a couple clogs but again it’s an easier fix than my Bambu labs as long as you look up YouTube videos on how to do it. I like this printer because everything is exposed and easy to replace if need be. Definitely recommend to anyone starting out in 3D printing. I know it’s only prints in one color but to get the hang of 3D printing it’s a good printer and it’s cheaper than most.

We got this as a Christmas gift for our 16 year, in his own words" omg Mom, really, a 3D Printer, its mine, thats f-ing cool, oops sorry, thats really cool, can I make something, wait mom what should I make?" Set up and calibration was a breeze and get the slicer up and foing was cake. Its an awesome little printer, great place for him to start. He currently has plans to boost his math project. So im happy with it.

This is our first 3D printer and so far I'm very impressed. The setup took maybe 20 minutes - which could have gone quicker, but I was taking my time. We started printing immediately using the Ankermark software on our phones. We had several items printed in the first evening - taking anywhere from 25 to 45 minutes. I've only had it a couple days, but so far I'd absolutely recommend this as a starter and possibly intermediate 3D printer.

Very easy to set up and use, app is great, my daughter is 12 and she got this for Christmas, she was able to immediately print two cute fidgets and loves that the app tells her when the print is complete. The quality of the printing is great, very wonderful starter printer.

To preface, this is my second filament printer and 3rd 3D printer in general. Overall, this printer is great. From the moment I opened the box to having it print was maybe 30 minutes and most of that time was me re-checking the instructions to make sure I didn't miss anything. As you can see in my pictures, the print quality is also excellent. Very minimal stringing or layering issues. Also the speed is incredible. I haven't done a side by side test yet, but it seems like it prints in almost half the time as my Kobra Neo. The only downside is that you cannot print directly from the machine. You must use the app or software on your computer in order to print. But you are able to print via wifi, so no extra cords are needed. If you are looking at getting into 3D printing, I can't think of a better printer to recommend for the price.

I'll start by saying that I've owned a 3D printer for four years; an Ender 3 V2 with the CRTouch bed leveling add-on and a modified ("Ender Professional") firmware package. This is my basis of comparison and the perspective from which I'll be writing this review. In short, I have nothing but positive things to say about the AnkerMake M5C. The build quality is phenomenal, the print quality is easily better than what it replaces, and its ease of use is difficult to match in the "entry level" 3d printer space. It's a great machine with a good ecosystem around it, at least at the time of this writing, and that assessment comes down to two elements: hardware and software. The M5C's hardware is extremely robust. Most printers in this price range don't offer the luxury of a custom-made chassis: you'll have 2020 aluminum extrusions, a hefty-but-utilitarian sheet steel box under the bed, and the exposed stepper motors that have been standard since the original Ender 3 over half a decade ago. The M5C completely subverts this "budget printer" expectation with a cast aluminum plate for the top of the base and a pair of custom aluminum columns enclosing the Z-screws. All stepper motors are enclosed as well, with a (somewhat conspicuous) box on each end of the Z axis and a Y-axis stepper housed entirely below the base's shell. Finishing out the motion control is a direct drive extruder connected to the printer's electrical systems via a single round (not ribbon) cable with a USB-C connector as its physical interface. Bed leveling for this printer is automatic, and is accomplished using a strain gauge integrated into the printer's hotend. By default this can be done by long-pressing the printer's single button; this button can also function to reprint the most recent print, pause or cancel a print in progress, or print the newest file on a USB drive you've plugged into the printer. This leads me to the printer's two big design quirks: there's no screen, and its USB port is also USB-C, leaving a very small list of USB drives that will be compatible with it. I feel these are relatively minor shortcomings and worth overlooking for the device's print quality. Software-wise, two options are available to convert 3D models to a printable form: the AnkerMake smartphone app and the AnkerMake desktop slicer. The app allows you to directly control the printer (via Bluetooth), define its settings, and print directly from Anker's community-sourced "Make it Real" model repository. Slicing is done through a cloud slicer with more limited settings than are available through a traditional desktop slicer. By contrast, AnkerMake's Slicer is based on PrusaSlicer (as of this writing); be aware that early reviews of this printer and the M5 will make reference to a Cura-based slicer which was inferior to the current software and left much to be desired. The new slicer incorporates some features from Orca Slicer and is generally very user-friendly, with "basic" mode housing familiar "Fast," "Normal," and "Detailed" print settings, and "expert" mode containing typical customizations (infill pattern, wall count, supports, etc.). The combination of hardware and software creates a product that's as simple to use as it is fast to produce results. While 500mm/s isn't suitable for many prints, "Fast" speed definitely is fast, spitting out a Benchy in less than 20 minutes. "Normal" quality is better for everyday making and prototyping and is still quite quick. Speed is a big part of the appeal here: this printer is easily 4-6 times faster than an off-the-shelf Ender 3 V2 or similar, and creates reliably higher-quality prints than such machines even at those speeds. In summary, at its current sale price of $249, this printer easily prints circles around some of its comparable, if slightly less expensive, competition. It's a worthy successor to an entry-level printer and a really great entry-level printer in its own right. I'm glad to retire my Ender 3 and make better prints faster with the AnkerMake M5C.

    A Much Needed Upgrade

The M5C printer has proven to be flawless for me so far. I initially started my 3D printing journey with an Ender 3 Pro, and while I was satisfied with the print quality given its cost, the manual bed leveling became increasingly tedious over time. Despite my efforts to maintain consistent print quality, the wear and tear became evident, and the prints never quite matched the initial quality. The M5C's auto-leveling feature for the Z-axis before each print has been a game-changer for me. It provides peace of mind, eliminating the need for constant supervision to ensure prints stay on track. Although I learned a lot while fine-tuning prints on the Ender 3 Pro, the M5C's reliability and precise efficiency are like night and day in comparison. It's a breath of fresh air knowing I no longer have to babysit my prints, and I can even manage everything remotely when needed.

My entry into 3D printing was smoother than the actual prints, this printer is easier than ordering Postmates or a Lyft ride ! The entire family loves it, but I absolutely will buy another one just for me. My only gripe is cleaning the tip area but maintenance is a part of the game.

This is a great 3D printer to start with if just beginning to look into 3D printing. Initial setup can be a little hard as the unit has a heavy bottom so be careful not to drop it. The ankermake app it recommended make it easy to download while away. The budget for this was worth it in my opinion. The filament the company recommends is less likely to have issues when printing but doesn’t mean you can’t use other types. Make sure it’s on a firm surface as my printer has had issues printing items and then falling off the surface while printing.

Set up was very straight forward and after 1 month everything has been great. The usability of the software is great and easy to understand. Huge plus that the mobile app can slice and print things too. There is a great discord community for AnkerMake and anything that has come up was easily solved. So far so good!

This was my first time buying a 3D printer so I want sure what to expect but this model was very easy to use, especially when you're new to the 3D print game. The app is easy to understand and you don't need a computer to use it. I bought it for my boyfriend's birthday and now I can't wait to see what he'll be able to make with it
