It doesn't function properly. It doesn't do half of what is claimed.

This is a good quality little robot, it is in fact very small, fit in the palm of your hand. I use it mainly to add a sense of life to my small apartment, I did not want to pay additional fees to get a pet, so this was an option just to have that feeling of something moving around. This robot is designed to act kind like a dog, it makes some random noises, plays with its toy, and listens when you talk to it, although it understands a few commands. What I use the most is to ask it what is the time and about the weather, By the way, It does not always understands my commands, if you don't address it with the exact same way as when you program your voice, then it will not hear you. I've never used the camera to take pictures, and I think it is a big security risk for hacking, but you can't really block it, seems the robot uses it to look around when moving, so it may run into walls or fall off a table edge. With that said, you would need a flat surface to keep it, I've it in a small desk in my living room, so it feels like a robotic puppy kept in a fish tank, but no need to feed or clean up after, you only need to make sure it has access to its docking station and it will automatically go back there when battery is low. In general it is a nice novelty robot, too expensive for what it is, at that price I would not give it to children, it probably would not take that much abuse. I am an electronics engineer so this is an enjoyable companion robot, for people with different background, this may be just an expensive novelty toy.

I have been thoroughly enjoying Anki Vector and I'm definitely not a kid. Having the voice response and Alexa integration is an absolute plus. I can't imaging not having voice response and while there is a lot to learn, just watching the little guy wander around on his own and get angry at its' cube is hilarious. Trying to justify the price is a bit tricky, but if Anki keeps sending updates and the little guy keeps learning, it could end up being a lot less pricey than a four legged companion.

Vector is a very cute robot. It has pretty decent voice recognition and OK face recognition. If you're a developer or someone who can make it do something cool, this is a great robot to work with. If you're just looking for something to play with, it's fairly expensive for the skills it has at this point.

I was leery of this purchase especially for the price tag. But it's actually quite amusing. I still think it's not quite worth the price but they are close. His actions are limited and the app is nearly pointless. He has very few commands. It's skills are extremely limited. I ran out of things to make it do in about 30 minutes. However what I enjoy about it now is letting it be autonomous and do what it wants to do. I have it at my work desk and it makes the day a little more fun. Where I really had fun was downloading the apk for it and you can program it to say and do different things. It requires a bit of coding skill but it's been fun messing with its programming.

Cute little robot capable of self navigating around the house. Can do basic requests, answer questions, and has alexa built in. What is going to hook you are the expressive eyes and its little voice shouting your name when you approach it. Its little busyness beeping and bopping in utter joy as it plays with its toys. Its like a little pet. I've had it for 5 days and I look forward to seeing it when I get home. Strangely I even kinda miss it while I'm at work! Zero problems with error codes or falling off tables. Only con: It's expensive for what little it can do.
