Great value, works just as good if not better than more expensive one.

Does the trick for all my needs. It does a pretty good job of getting most if not all the air out most of the time... you can easily hit the manual suction button to give it some extra help before you seal it. My only reasons for not giving this 5 stars are: 1. When it sucks up any juices from the bag (there's always a little juice...) it ends up going into the little suction area, which is annoying to clean because it's awkward and narrow 2. The distance from the suction area to the seal area is a little bit long so you waste a little bit of bag length each time. Overall I use this thing all the time and love it. I also like using it as a sealer only for things like potato chips that come in plastic bags... it works great!

Very impressed with this purchase. It comes with 10 bags as well. I bought a whole ribeye and cut it up and vacuum sealed the steaks with this. It works fantastic and the price is great.

Normally, I'd say you get what you pay for. But you get your value and THEN some with this vacuum sealer. Very happy how it's dealt with bags of food that had some juices in it.

This little compact sealer works great, had one that cost almost twice as much that didn't work nearly as well. Would gladly recommend this product.

I like that you have the option to vacuum or seal separately. Very quiet when using the vacuum part of it.

The Anova vacuum sealer is easy to use and seals very efficiently. The sealer is small and compact and easy to store when not in use.

This product is "good" - I am guessing that because some of the Anova bags I used were significantly larger than the protein inside, they did not seal properly. I noticed, when I cut the bags to a smaller size, they tended to seal the first attempt and the seal was excellent. I would have given it a 3.5 but rounded up as the poor seal could have been attributed to "operator error."

Great food sealer, its small and compact but does a great job.

Compact and attractive design looks good and takes up minimal space on my kitchen countertop. No issues so far with the vacuum or sealing function. The only thing I would say is that if you like to seal your vacuum bags twice, you have to wait a few seconds after it seals the first time. I guess it has to cool down a bit before it can seal again. Glossy black plastic is easy to wipe down so it stays looking clean. So far I have not had any issues with a vacuum bag bursting or leaking, so I'm pretty happy with this vacuum sealer.

This is a great Vacuum Sealer for the price! My items have stayed nicely sealed in the freezer. No need for the more expensive ones on the market!

My desire to start more sous vide cooking led me down the path to this sealer. I specifically went with this Anova brand sealer because I wanted a proven name, despite the fact there are other cheaper options out there. Let's just say a lot has changed in reliability and quality of modern sealers (I've had bad experiences many, many years ago on older vacuum sealers). This sealer will do either rolls or bags, up to 12" wide by any length you desire. I have successfully used Anova/GreatValue/FoodSaver brand bags/rolls with this sealer. There is an automatic vacuum+seal button, a vacuum only button, and a seal only button. I almost always manually vacuum and manually seal, because you have more control to get out air pockets and not crush the food. The only negative thing I can say about this unit are the hinges on the lid...they leave a lot to be desired in confidence and it feels on the cusp of breaking every use when you push down to lock/unlock the lid, but so far so good. Vacuum power has been more than adequate and the sealer has been reliable. When using the vacuum rolls, I always double seal the ends for security. Insert the bag all the way, then pull it out about a 1/4" and seal.

Works well and easy to use. Small and lightweight, easy to store. I use primarily for sous vide cooking and storing food for longer term storage.

We're happy with this vacuum sealer. We can store store meat in out freezer for a longer period of time.
