I was very excited about this product however after husband put it on roof as high as possible, avoiding trees, we picked up a whooping 2 channels. Money wasted. According to online site for channel reception, we should have picked up 8-10 clear channels and another 4-5 with average reception. Very disappointed in this product.

The instructions for assembly are lacking, the sales person said the antenna was an indoor/outdoor, which was clearly NOT the case, as it is a large beastly thing which clearly belongs outdoors, and due to my location, it did not pick up signals for anything other than CBS Sports, which was very unhelpful.

This antenna has given us the ability to pull in about 3-4 channels. These channels go in and out depending on the weather. I was under the impression that we would be able to pull in most basic channels.

I'm so impressed with this antenna!

The Clear Stream 2V antenna was very easy to assemble, and it is a nice compact size. After assembling it, I placed it on the floor temporarily to tune it. I was pleased to see how many channels were picked up but was upset to see that I didn't get ABC. I was worried because I had read that large trees and hills could prevent getting a channel especially ABC because it is hi-VFH. I live in San Jose in the east foothills. I figured I might have a better change to receive it if it were placed higher, so I had someone mount it outside about 10 feet off the ground and aimed towards an open patch in the direction of San Francisco. Lo and behold!!! Channel 7 came in crisp and clear. My reception is beautiful! Before, I had HD service with ATT-Uverse, and the picture is much more superior to that. Now, I'm going to try a Tivo Roamio with it so I can record live tv. Even with a subscription fee for Tivo, my cost is so much lower than cable tv. Hallelujah!

Not really designed for indoor use, but works

I bought this after having very little luck with 3 different indoor antennas (cheap RCA rabbit ears, RCA omnidirectional, ClearStream Micron XG). With the indoor antennas, I was only able to pull 2 out of 7 stations from towers that are around 15 miles away. With this antenna placed on top of a shelf and correctly pointed, I can view all 7. If I were to move it outside to a location not partially blocked by trees, I'm sure I'd get 100% clear signals, but that's a project for another day. The only issue with using this inside is that it's not really designed for it. The antenna is fairly large, and does not have an indoor stand or wall mount. It will sit level on a flat surface, but the instructions warn that you should place something under it to avoid damaging whatever it is placed on. The wire grid could easily scratch a wooden surface. A small stand or wall hanger would be a nice addition.

We bought this antenna because it was not the cheapest and sounded like it would work for us. It does not! We get 1 channel, and it is not the one that is closest to us! We live in a valley, but the 1 channel I watch the most is NOT the channel we get, but it is less than 1 mile away. I don't think there is any antennas out there that will work for us. Even though we do not live out in the country, if you don't have cable, well good luck getting anything! I refuse to buy another antenna. That would make 4 total, and we started cheap and moved up each time. I would say for the money this is not worth it! I actually get more channels from the cheap antenna we have on one of our tv's!
