Small but very effective
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to assemble and mount even in a development no one would object to something this small. Gives a great picture without having to bother with a box from comcast or Xfinity no phone calls to turn on just mount it and watch a great HD picture.

Good antenna for receiving local channels
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Clear reception of local channels and one distant channel most of the time. Weather conditions including hot weather sometimes cause shaky images. Replaced a satellite dish with this antenna and hooked it up to preexisting cable wiring and that works well. Overall, it is a good antenna and is adequate for me.

Good antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced a set of indoor rabbit ears that received 9 channels, half of which were Spanish speaking and the other half were very poor quality. After attaching this antenna to my roof and hooking up my TV I set the TV to scan for channels and now get 23 crystal clear English speaking channels without a cable bill. I still have cable on my main TV, but this is fine for my bedroom. The only problem I had with assembly was that a bolt hole required to mount the antenna to the staff was missing. I simply drilled the hole and everything was fine from there.

Works Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing works great. It picks up every channel I was expecting plus more. All of the major networks come in crystal clear. If you're tired of paying too much for cable, you wont regret this antenna. Plus, Antennas Direct has great customer service to help setup.

Good antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to assemble and install. Reception is as good as expected. Strong on nice days, up to 30 channels not so strong during stormy days up to 17 channels Best thing about it is after you purchase the antenna...The programming is free.

Dont be fooled by pricey antennas this works best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up with this antenna after trying some of the others available at BB. After much research into antenna technology, I came to the conclusion that the industry is rife with ridiculous claims of how "powerful" the more expensive antennas are...NOT!! It's really very simple, the "power" of a radio or tv signal is supplied by the transmitting antenna which is regulated by the FCC, NOT the receiving antenna unless you are using a costly signal booster which increases the signal strength of whatever signal(s) including unwanted static you are receiving. So if you are trying to get a clear signal from a distant transmitter you will end up with a stronger signal but not clearer because the booster strengthens all the frequencies. As for "reaching" a distant transmitter signal from over 70 miles is not very likely since the FCC limits transmitter power so as not to reach a neighboring transmitters signal limit of the same frequency. So when you see a manufacturers claim of reaching a distant signal from 100 to 150 or more miles away it's all BS. My best advice is start with an antenna that you can stick on your wall or window facing your local transmitters, if it works great, you'll only spend $20-$40. If it doesn't work well take it back and then try this one. I like it because the antenna is one of only a few "dual element" antennas on the market. The importance of a dual element is that radio and tv signals have different wave shape characteristics based on frequency. Notice the figure "8" shaped element of the antenna is optimized for UHF signals, and the "bipole" on the top of the antenna is optimized for VHF signals. Keep in mind all antennas work best outside and up off the ground above rooflines (higher is better) with a clear line of site (if possible) to the transmitter(s) you want to receive. There are several websites that will locate for you which transmitters are "reachable" in your area. That's all you need to know about getting a good reception, forget the hype!! It's very simple!!

Great OTA HD antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace an amplified rectangular shaped Radio Shack anternna that was about the size of a peice of paper. I had trouble consistently getting CBS in the Chicago western suburbs. This antenna (not amplified) does the trick and has enough signal strength to give me multiple Spanish, Korean, and other Asian channels that I will never watch.

Works very well. Easy to position. Picture is very
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The antenna was easy to put together and install. We put it inside since it was December and raining. Positioning was easy; it just had to be close to a window. We get 29 channels and they are hd clear. Love it.

Couldn't be clearer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased other antennas since I've sworn off cable/satellite and been happy with that decision. However, ever since I got this antenna it's like I have paid tv all over again, and it's still free. This antenna picked up so many more channels, I now have new favorites. By far, the best one yet.

Easy to put together
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't like the Solar guy reading the information on the antenna to me. Should have been approached by a BB salesman first. Solar guy's "selling information" on the antenna was based solely on the information he was reading off the chart next to merchandise. He was impeding what I was there for, he was not helpful and I almost walked.......

Big improvement over previous antenna.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was in store stock so i went for it instead of waiting for a "leaf" style antenna. Really pleased with the nice HD picture and expanded channel selection since i hooked it up. Had a little trouble assembling as some screws didn't line up perfectly, but figured it out. You also need an additional piece of coaxial cable to hook it up to your TV that's not included in the package so be prepared. I am using it as indoor antenna and it's bigger than i initially expected, but i've gotten used to it. I like that it can stand up on its own so i can move it EZ and didn't have to mount it somewhere.

Great if you have the patience to set it up.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably overpriced for how it compares with the other lower priced and smaller versions of the antenna - which may do the job just as adequately. It was more directionally dependent than I presumed. The antenna works very well but you absolutely DO need a clear view of the sky for it to function properly. I set it up for use in a suburb of San Antonio, Texas. All the maps showed that most of the broadcasters were within 30 miles of my antenna. However, the range of the antenna is stated to be at up to 60 miles. I really wasn't able to get stations from Austin or other close cities, within the 60 mile range.

Pulls in tv channels with great clarity. Easy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to assemble. We get about 20 channels with the antenna on the floor next to the tv. When the weather clears, we will raise the antenna outside to get additional channels. Provides better HD quality than some cable channels for the same station!

Surprising Reception
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only can I get the four major networks (CBS,NBC,ABC,& Fox), I also got 5 other channels I didn't expect to receive. The perfect solution for the guest room where I need a working TV for a couple nights each year. Eliminates ridiculous cable costs for the 360 days I don't use that TV!! And, the picture is spectacular.

works great at ~40+ miles
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.in my area there are two transmitter clusters for local broadcast HDTV approximately 30 and 40 miles away from my home. It turns out that my home is in almost a straight line to both, so my antenna is dialed in nearly perfect. under those conditions (and mounted outside), it gets great reception all the time. i was pleasantly surprised to find out that i had access to ~60 free channels in HD (and in 5 languages) all along!

Works great outside
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When we tried it inside it worked ok, we had to keep moving it depending on the channels we wanted to watch. Once we mounted it outside where the dish used to be, it worked great. Bonus, outside we can't see it.

Easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was quick. Had some trouble with getting it pointed in the right direction by myself. More of a two person set up. One inside running the programing and one outside turning it to get the right direction.
