We are located in downtown Philadelphia with lots of tall building around us, After trying many traditional and modern powered rotating antennas I decided to bite a bullet and ordered this ClearStream 4 Max Antenna. Now its installed on our two story roof about 36ft above ground facing West North West towards the towers, I was blown away best EASY Install ever, We scanned and receive 90+ Channels including CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS and tons more all crystal clear in full HD 1080p or better resolution and sound. We have this connected to a 1TB Amazon recast DVR. If you want a headache free install and working product look no further this is the one to buy yes its a bit pricy but so worth it. Note: I do not work for BestBuy or Clearstream and I am not affliated with any company mentioned.

Bought this on advisement from Best Buy Employee. Absolutely fantastic. Got rid of satalite, but live a LONG way out in the country and antennaes that we tried were just not working. This one works. And it works great. Definitely do this antenna if that is the route you are going.

Easy to install and set up. I installed the antenna on my roof, and used the app in the instructions to position antenna to pick up the towers for the local stations I wanted. Antenna picked up 56 channels and all local stations. Picture is very sharp and clear.

I was a bit hesitant about trying this antenna due to the cost but I'm definitely glad I did. After several other choices which didn't work out so well, this antenna has really exceeded my expectations. I pick up far more channels than I thought was possible. I have it mounted on a stand in my upstairs bedroom and the signal is really good. Definitely recommend you try this one.

This is a great antenna. I mounted it in the attic near the peak. Aimed it in the general direction of the most towers. Crystal clear HD. We get about 65 channels here in Sarasota FL. I’m using a splitter and running 5 Samsung TV’s at the same time. No amplifier. I highly recommend this antenna. So glad we cut the cord. Saving $150 a month.

Great performance. Clear instructions and easy assembly. It's mounted in the walk-up attic of our 2 story house so effectively on the 3rd floor. Only slightly affected by weather, it picks up Milwaukee stations 40 miles away and once I added a signal booster it does Green Bay stations almost 70 miles away. Perhaps if mounted outside wouldn't need the booster. Our installation was made easy because we used a conduit that was installed when the house was built so we could run the coax from the attic to the basement then to various coax runs to rooms.

    Worked fine.

Worked fine for me, a crystal clear picture on a very inexpensive TV. I believe some of the low ratings have to be from incorrect assembly, living outside of the effective range of the antenna, and or not pointing it in the right direction. I would suggest downloading a broadcast tower finder app on your phone to point it in the best direction. I am pretty close to broadcast towers and pointing directly at the towers did make a difference. I also never rate anything five stars because nothing is perfect. My only issue is the price compared to the overall quality seems a little high. If you are really close to towers I would suggest a much cheaper indoor-only model. If you are more than 50 miles away from most towers I would suggest a better outdoor only larger antenna.

Extremely easy to set up and works great (even when it's installed in the attic). I live in the city (Indianapolis) and get about 60 channels. I have 8 TVs, so I bought this antenna (4 rings) and its little brother (2 rings), split the cords to all 8 TVs and the signals are perfect. Next step is to cut the cable cord.

Vast difference in the number of channels I can now get on my television, and the clarity is more than what I expected. Easy set up, nice modern design and the flexibility of being able to use this antenna indoors and outdoors is a big win for me!

Weak design - Reception good - but breaks!

Good reception. But structurally weak and not adequate! After a few days, the antenna was tipped, like something was up. I waited a bit as it was pretty cold! Reception was still decent. Then today, it blew off of the mount. This uses U-bolts to mount the single layer of plastic to the antenna mount. The single layer of plastic broke out and the antenna fell off of the mount! It is not a great design for wind! Here is the kicker. Best Buy Customer "service" - "We're sorry, you are 1 day over the return window, so you are out of luck! So sorry for the bad outcome! You should contact the manufacturer, maybe they will help!" So, if you never see any type of wind (and we are not talking hurricane here... just a 20MPH gust), probaby a great antenna. Otherwise... try something different.

Oh man where do i start... Pros: Good reception. Does not need amplification. Cons: It should come with a grounding block. Best buy did not stock one in store. This upsets me ALOT. Why would anyone connect an antenna to their roof run all this cable through their house to their tv without a grounding block. The copper in the coax will build an electrical gharge over time and damage your tv if you do not ground it. After a few months the signal quality degraded. I do not know why. So they tell you not to mount it directly to metal roof or siding because it will degrade the signal. How about they insulate the mast so that it does not matter. How about make the it out of a non conductive material like plastic. Am I not correct that this would solve the problem? Do not blame my house or roof for a signal problem if it is correctable at the antenna mfg level. Comments: You should get a good signal booster for this. A high quality one. Since this antenna puts out a good clean signal you want to selectively boost signals and filter the garbage otherwise it defeats the purpose. I do not recommend using it indoors. If you are spending this kind of money on a good antenna then get a spool of coax and do it right.

This antenna is delivering many channels, even though, it is somewhat big. I placed the antenna in the opposite wall from where the tv has been placed. The picture is clear and with only very minimal stalls or breaks between movies. Love it and highly do recommend this antenna.

    Top Notch Antenna

Decided to cut the cable and needed a good digital antenna. Did a lot of reading and research and ended up purchasing this one, a topped ranked antenna on many sites. I did an attic installation wanting to keep the antenna out of the elements. I live between two major cities with transmission towers almost in a direct line from the ones 40 miles to the north to the ones up to 30 miles to the south, with only about a 20 degree spread between the furthest apart. I installed the antenna and ran it without an amplifier through the coaxial cabel aready in my home to 3 tvs in various rooms. First try, all the tvs pulled in 57 stations total from both directions with a clear, clean picture on all of them. This is an amazing antenna. Installation was super eazy, allignment was even easier using the phone app to locate transmission towers.

This antenna was purchased to replace a previous antenna that started to wear out and lose channels. The antenna does only come with itself in the box, so you will need a Co-Ax Cable if you do not have one already just a heads up! Other than that the antenna is easy to set up, it has two options for the mounting, either with the stand or a screw on a pole mount. I used the pole mounting system and placed it on my roof, as that’s where the best reception was in my area. Once placed, it was able to pick up the stations very quickly, and are able to stay constant throughout the day. With newer technologies coming out, the antenna mentioned that a rescan would be required every once in a while, so be sure to just scan again once every day or couple of days as needed. Other than that, its a great antenna, and I know what to recommend if someone asks or is in need of a new one as well!

I was hesitant to buy this at first but it turned out to be the best antenna I have ever purchased it paired well with my Samsung tv. Word of advice don’t buy the matching amplifier it didn’t work for me I purchased a Phillips amplifier and got twice as many channels. Also buy a large mast or reuse the one you have if you have Dish.

    2MAX & 4MAX

I bought the ClearStream 2MAX a couple years ago. I am now using both the 2MAX and the 4MAX. I moved the 2MAX to another room where I have my computer and an 18" TV beside my computer monitor so I can watch the news. Obviously I am using these indoors. I didn't want the hassle of mounting it outside. Mounting outside would have required adding amplifiers (due to a long coax run) and grounding. So the 2MAX was OK but occasionally I would have to get up and tweak the position of the 2MAX antenna. With the 4MAX I get better reception and I don't have to tweak the position. I am in a particularly difficult local. I'm on the down slope of a hill and most stations are North of me behind the hill. There is also a local airport close by and I can get interference from airplanes. I chose the ClearStream models instead of an open frame antenna because it is more durable making it easier to handle. I should have went with the 4MAX initially for my main TV in the living room.

Be sure to check the Clear Stream website to see if there are any channels in reach of your home, but if there are this thing will get them. In fact, the website said we’d pick up 6 channels...but on 2 of our 3 TVs we actually get 12! Clear picture; great reception except in the worst of weather.
