    Good Option for attic mount

Mounted in my attic and works as advertised! I’m getting about 30 channels in good quality about 35 miles from the antennas I’m aimed at. The antenna is partially obscured by an HVAC air handler as well.

Best Buy has this antenna In stock at a great price. The curbside pickup was fast and efficient. I purchased this antenna to connect to my Dish Network Satellite receiver so I don’t have to pay for local channels. The Dish Network over the air receiver has a weak tuner, but this antenna gave me a strong enough signal to pull in all the local stations. Now the local stations show up seamlessly in the Dish Network guide with all the Dish channels. The build quality is good and assembly was very easy. However, time will tell if the plastic parts in this antenna hold up to the elements for years to come in the Colorado hail and high altitude UV. The antenna comes with all hardware to mount it. I used a taller 1” pipe mount on the side of my chimney, but the provided offset pipe is of good quality. I recommend grounding this antenna and cable properly to protect your house and equipment from lightning strikes. The antenna does not come with proper grounding parts.

The only OTA Best Buy had in stock. Looking for something smaller and with less assembly. Once put together the product found 52 broadcast feeds. Fantastic picture clarity and sound. A bit bulky in appearance, but does the job.

I am a very pessimistic person. I hate products that break in short time or just don’t work effectively. But this antenna actually had me amazed at how many channels it gathered clearly.

I was able to tune in 64 over the air channels. I added a plug in antenna booster and used a over air TV signal location APP to point this antenna.. That being said, about only 34 of the over air channels I receive are in English and worth watching. Also keep in mind, weather effects reception.

Don’t believe what their website says for Channels

Checked online on this company’s website to see if we would pick any tv stations up and found that we should get 38 channels with this antenna. After installing this antenna we were excited to see what we would get. After the tv was done scanning we found that we only got around 8 channels. Thats a big disappointment from the 38 we were supposed to get. We tried multiple times after moving the antenna slightly in the direction the website said to and could not get any more channels to show up. We then figured maybe the tv was too old and didn’t support the digital stations. We tried another tv that we knew would support it and still no luck. We wernt about to give up yet as we had one option left. We got an antenna booster and tried this all over again. Still no luck. Very disappointing after this that we couldn’t get it to work. We then packed up the antenna and returned it to the store. I don’t think the antenna itself was bad but I think their website was wrong as to what stations we should expect to pick up.

When the internet was out, my backup antenna gave me Channel 4, so, I at least knew what was going on in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

I have 4 towers that I can connect to: One is 25 miles away and the other three are 47-57 miles away. I have NO view of the horizon. I have a tree line that starts about 50 ft from the house. I have a tree branch right in front of the antenna. The antenna sits about 25ft attached to tge roof and the degree angle between the 4 towers is 3°. I can fet a totla if 18 channels. FOX, NBC, CBS and PBS towers come in. But no ABC which is 59 miles away. The stations all come in clear, storms causes pixelation and channel drops but thats expected. I use quad shielded coax that I bought at Lowe's: 50ft and 15' connected with a coupler that was also purchased at Lowe's. The reason I purchased this was because Spectrum jumped my cable bill to $108.00 for basic tv and advanced basic tv. this includes 24.97 for the 3 boxes I needed to descramble the channels and 13.50 for local broadcasting fee. We literally watch the weather, family fued, wheel of fortune and jeopardy (lol). Ob top of that we have top tier internet which is currently 89.99/month. My bill came in at $198.96. Two months ago it was $127.00 then we tried auto bill which then went to 160s then the last bill. They offered to lower the bill significantly but we were done. This antenna, plus the set up will be paid off on 2 months from the momey saved by switching. Installation has a lot and yet it doesnt have everything: You will need (ok aybe not need, but I used...) a socket wrench, a cordless drill, a drill adapter to attach sockets to, a drill bit slightly thinner than the roof mounting screws, a compass (apps are nice but not reliable and walmart sells a decent enough one for $4), philips screwdriver, 2 sockets to help put in wooden mounting bolts. The antenna comes with the adjustable roof mounting plate and bolts and a pole to attach the antenna and mountain plate. It took me about an hour to install but I spent time looking it iver and had stuff slide off the roof. If you can bring a friend, do so. We have no regretdls. Oh and also get large staples sobthat you can attach the cable to tge house so its not dangling. And lastly, this antenna is not grounded nor has a power boost. Antennaweb.com says I can get 16 channels, I have 18. Decent antenna, not the greatest but Mrs. didnt want a large goddy antenna on the roof, something discrete. This fit the bill.
