Great performance. Clear instructions and easy assembly.
It's mounted in the walk-up attic of our 2 story house so effectively on the 3rd floor. Only slightly affected by weather, it picks up Milwaukee stations 40 miles away and once I added a signal booster it does Green Bay stations almost 70 miles away. Perhaps if mounted outside wouldn't need the booster.
Our installation was made easy because we used a conduit that was installed when the house was built so we could run the coax from the attic to the basement then to various coax runs to rooms.

I live in a rural area about 6o miles south of Cleveland, Ohio; which is the major source of the television transmissions in our area and I must say, I was surprised and very pleased that we are able to receive the number of stations we do. We are receiving 32 stations which includes all of the major networks and a fairly good variety of others stations that interest us. And they all come in very clear with excellent high definition. We were told when we bought this antenna that position was very critical to getting good reception and I can confirm the truth in that statement. Positioning the antenna is very precise and a small movement can change the reception a great deal. It is also very important to position the antenna so that it facing in the direction in which the program is being broadcast from. But once you find the right position just scan your tv and you should be good to go. This is an indoor or outdoor antenna and I had planed to use it outdoors but when I hooked it up to the tv and saw how many channels we were receiving, we decided to leave it where it was, which is right next to the tv. I can't say from experience but I believe we could probably get still more stations if we put it on the roof. But since we are pleased with what we have we will leave it where it is , at least for now. I know that getting good reception with one of these antennas can be difficult and it depends on a number of variables in the area in which you live but I can say in all honesty that it does work very well in my area. One other thing that should make a difference to anyone considering buying this antenna is, that when I purchased mine I was given a two week trial period to try it out, with a full money back guarantee if it did not work out as expected. You can't really ask for anything more.

Purchased this Clearstream 4maX antenna which is connected to a HDHomeRun device that in turn to split to 2 key parts of my home which are directly connected to the antenna port of my TVs. I also have this setup supporting my PLEX app which is sync with my Synology NAS to save my DVR recordings.
I am located less than 50 miles from the concentration of broadcast TV stations which makes pulling in those digital signals problem free. I am also able to pull in free ATSC 3.0 4K signals from broadcast stations pixelization free, although, I can't confirm this maybe is due to the fact I have a pre-amplifier at the front end to boost the incoming over the air signals. If the FCC does not stop broadcast stations in many parts of the country implementing DRM encryption, I may just need to go back to acquiring ATSC 1.0 signals. I submitted a petition to the FCC to stop this effort by the major broadcast channels.
Overall, I am pleased with this antenna and recommend it to anyone looking to get free local stations within 80 miles of their home.

Provides great reception from the roof. It is not that high but works well. Probably would be even better if we had put it up another 6-8 feet. Where it is protects it from strong west winds. We get several stations very clearly and most of them offer several channels. It is much better than previous indoor antenna.

I have been getting discouraged over the ever increasing cost of watching TV via the major satellite and cable companies I have used. I had heard of the possibility of being able to pull in local stations via one of the new age antennas, for free. So I did some research and bought a Clearstream 4MAX Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna that boasts it is able to pull TV stations up to 70 miles away. I installed it outside on an eight foot pole. Once I purchased an additional 75 foot cable (it did not come with any cable) and connected the TV to the antenna, I was amazed when I was able to pull in 44 stations. The closest major city from my house is 60 miles away. I am now thinking seriously of dropping cable altogether.

I bought this to check if I could cut the cable or not. I can now cut the cable! I have some work to do, but this antenna works GREAT. I have to point out that your location is critical. I have 36 channels with HD and DTV, without moving the setting 1 degree! Keep in mid that I have 65 Stations within 70 miles. I have no trouble getting over 30+ miles away. Well worth the effort and cost. Enjoy the view. My antenna is in my attic on the third floor.

Is a good replacement antenna from the one I had. I'm in a campgrounds about sixty miles from closest major city. I mounted it about twenty feet above ground (really easy to install). Getting about a dozen channels. I did buy the best cable to cut down on noise. Still get some interfence from some golf carts driving by.

I cut cable and went all streaming about two months ago, but started missing the local live network stations for local news and sports. I looked into Hulu with Live TV, but that costs almost as much as Cable once you add all the add-ons for local. I got this antenna, and it works great. I mounted it inside my attic of a 2 story house, antenna is about 20 feet in elevation. Roof construction is 2x4 trusses, plywood, tar paper, and concrete tile. Light tree cover that reaches about that high. I have a regular 2-way splitter (non-amplified). With one TV with a 30 foot RG6 coax run, the other TV with a 60 foot RG6 coax run. I have one cluster of stations 25 miles away, both TVs pick up those stations with full bars (4 out of 4), and HD picture and sound are fantastic. I have another cluster of stations 65 miles away, and they get 1-2 bars out of 4. But even those stations 65 miles away look perfect. This antenna is advertised at 70+ miles, I can get stations at 65 miles perfectly, so the advertised rating is correct. High quality construction, should last for years (maybe decades). This product seems to be the best model Best Buy sells. It's easy to see why Antennas Direct products are the Cord Cutter's choice.

I was a little worried because i had just bought a Yagi antenna, and it wouldn't pick up every station without adjusting the antenna when switching back and forth. someone mentioned getting an multi directional antenna, so i did. I picked this one up yesterday. i live about 50-60 miles out, and pick up all the major channels that i was hoping for (ABC,CBS,CW,NBC,Fox) with their secondary channels as well. There are still a couple of channels that i don't get, but don't really care about them. Also, i haven't spent much time calibrating the antenna. I'm sure if i calibrated it, it would work even better. Also, I did not need an amplifier to pick up the channels. the major networks are averaging between 50 and 60 % signal as well. Great Antenna; very pleased so far.

Greetings from Antennas Direct! The signal strength will vary and your specific location of where you install the antenna, attic or outdoors. Try placing the antenna up higher as trees and building can block TV signals. Here are a few other tips to try: Face the antenna towards the largest cluster of towers in your area. You can download our FREE app Antenna Point from iTunes or Goggle Play or visit our website using the following link to see the towers in your area https://www.antennasdirect.com/transmitter-locator.html. You may need to may need to move the antenna to several locations to find the best reception. Remember to rescan for channels at every location you place the antenna before permanently attaching the antenna to any surface. If you need assistance, call us toll-free at 1-877-825-5572 or send us a message at https://www.antennasdirect.com/customer-service.html. The call and support are free. We are located in downtown Philadelphia with lots of tall building around us, After trying many traditional and modern powered rotating antennas I decided to bite a bullet and ordered this ClearStream 4 Max Antenna.
Now its installed on our two story roof about 36ft above ground facing West North West towards the towers, I was blown away best EASY Install ever, We scanned and receive 90+ Channels including CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS and tons more all crystal clear in full HD 1080p or better resolution and sound. We have this connected to a 1TB Amazon recast DVR.
If you want a headache free install and working product look no further this is the one to buy yes its a bit pricy but so worth it.
Note: I do not work for BestBuy or Clearstream and I am not affliated with any company mentioned.

Bought this on advisement from Best Buy Employee. Absolutely fantastic. Got rid of satalite, but live a LONG way out in the country and antennaes that we tried were just not working.
This one works. And it works great.
Definitely do this antenna if that is the route you are going.

Worked fine for me, a crystal clear picture on a very inexpensive TV. I believe some of the low ratings have to be from incorrect assembly, living outside of the effective range of the antenna, and or not pointing it in the right direction. I would suggest downloading a broadcast tower finder app on your phone to point it in the best direction. I am pretty close to broadcast towers and pointing directly at the towers did make a difference. I also never rate anything five stars because nothing is perfect. My only issue is the price compared to the overall quality seems a little high. If you are really close to towers I would suggest a much cheaper indoor-only model. If you are more than 50 miles away from most towers I would suggest a better outdoor only larger antenna.

This is a great antenna. I mounted it in the attic near the peak. Aimed it in the general direction of the most towers. Crystal clear HD. We get about 65 channels here in Sarasota FL. I’m using a splitter and running 5 Samsung TV’s at the same time. No amplifier. I highly recommend this antenna. So glad we cut the cord. Saving $150 a month.

I was a bit hesitant about trying this antenna due to the cost but I'm definitely glad I did. After several other choices which didn't work out so well, this antenna has really exceeded my expectations. I pick up far more channels than I thought was possible. I have it mounted on a stand in my upstairs bedroom and the signal is really good. Definitely recommend you try this one.

Extremely easy to set up and works great (even when it's installed in the attic). I live in the city (Indianapolis) and get about 60 channels.
I have 8 TVs, so I bought this antenna (4 rings) and its little brother (2 rings), split the cords to all 8 TVs and the signals are perfect. Next step is to cut the cable cord.
