Have not used antenna yet as it seems very complex to assemble. Gave it 3 stars as we don't know yet, maybe good, maybe bad. Would rather have bought one that was assembled or at least partially assembled.

    Great Antenna for Orlando

I purchased this antenna in the hopes of receiving the major local network stations. It took some trial and error to find the best location in my attic, but I was happy to be able to get all the major stations with great signal strength after trying out a few different locations, angles, and heights. My roof has a tile roof and radiant barrier, but even so, it works great! I am using a signal splitter to feed 3 TV's, and receive about 50 stations, including the important ones: 2, 6, 9, 18, 24, 27, 35, and 65. I think to receive channel 2, you need an antenna like this one that picks up VHF as well as UHF signals. Channel 2 was the hardest to get, but after finding a really high up location for the VHF portion of the antenna, I have no complaints!

I get 83 channels and the picture on my TV is fantastic! After doing my research; I ultimately ended purchasing this antenna which is a little stronger than was recommended. I live approximately 35 miles from most of the stations in my area. We live in a VERY windy, open area, so we needed to put this in our attic to protect it from the elements. We ran a new coaxial cable from the attic down to the basement, then used the existing coaxial from our cable TV and a splitter to connect all of the TVs in our house. Installation was easy. The hardest part was getting the ladder out and climbing into the attic for a couple of out-of-shape senior citizens! You might want to pay someone to install it for you.

This is the second one of these antennas we have purchased. We are able to get CBS, ABC, FOX, PBS and more recently NBC from Wyoming with both antennas. One is at our home several miles north of Longmont, CO and one is at my daughter's home in Fort Collins, CO. We both use the antenna indoors in our living rooms near the TV set. The antenna is fairly easy to assemble and TV reception is good.

It works as advertised. It's hard for me to judge it fairly because of the Fox and CBS affiliates in Cleveland, both of which are on VHF, are notorious for having a weak signal. These two channels are hit and miss. All of the UHF channels, including NBC and ABC, come in perfectly all of the time. One bolt had defective threads and customer service at "Antennas Direct" shipped out a new bolt promptly. Assembly can be confusing, so I would advise one to use youtube where instructional videos by "Antennas Direct" can easily be found.

    Achieving the Impossible

I live in a valley between two ski slopes in a sparsely populated area of Northern Michigan. I cut the cable last year after more egregious price increases and a refusal by the local company to negotiate on price. All the available information from AntennaWeb.org and the FCC said it was impossible for me to receive broadcast DTV in our home; however, they were wrong. While testing a faulty TV for a family member, I discovered that some signals were available. I chose the ClearStream 4V Antenna because it was the best reviewed and offered reception from the most distant stations. It works perfectly, even before mounting the antenna externally, I can receive all the available broadcast stations. Worth every penny.

Biggest antenna in the Best Buy store. Tried it and only got a few more channels than the pne half its size. Quite a large piece of equipment, took some time to assemble. But was solid once in place/

Directions to assemble the antenna were not the best but with a bit extra time, one can assemble the antenna in about 45 minutes given "re-do's". Antenna is very directional in reception, bot for my rather close reception (15 miles) was excellent. I was unable to receive other stations (St. Cloud) that were at a 100 degree angle from the main twin cities Shoreview towers. At the highly reduced $80 price it compared to many less expensive and even indoor antennas. This was an outdoor install using an existing roof post.

I am able to pick up channels all the way 81 miles away from Sutro Towers in San Francisco from North Sacramento. They usually come in clear in the evenings. If the day is clear and no disturbance I can even pick them up in the day time. Installation was ok, but i can see how it could be a little hard for some folks. In about 2 weeks I plan to raise the antenna, this might help me get more channesl . Right now it's about 14' high, attached to a Fence Post. If i can get it at the APEX of by double story house I should be able to pick up lots more channels. Only thing is it's hard to pick up LD channels, even though some of the LD channels towers are about 6 miles away.

A Great Antenna at a Great Price

I've had ClearStream antennas before, so I knew how they're built and how well they perform............this latest model is no exception, and I couldn't be happier. In our location, only a powerful antenna will suffice unless you're going with cable or satellite (neither of which I'm willing to pay the charges for as we basically only want local programming) This antenna delivers 33 channels crystal clear straight out the box leaning against the indoor wall! I plan to roof mount it in better weather, but this quick fix more than met any expectations. Easy to assemble and install, well constructed, and a great price...........this is the antenna to beat! Highly recommended on all accounts.

My 12 & 6 year old children assembled the antenna while I got the ladder and removed my satellite dish. I placed this tv antenna directly onto the pole that held my satellite on my chimney and connected the same wire. I looked at tvfool.com and just pointed the antenna in the direction for most channels. I dont know if the direction really mattered because I picked up 38 channels (more than tvfool said I would) including NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, PBS and others I never heard of.
