The ClearStream TV simply works as advertised, nothing more or less. As a long time casual antenna user it's actually surprisingly useful to be able to watch TV on phones or tablets away from our living room. Especially watching the news when I first wake up (before even getting out of bed) or when doing dishes at night. Once college football starts it should get even more useful. There's nothing too fancy about it, no DVR, it just makes watching TV much easier. You do have to be careful about your Wi-Fi network. If you connect the ClearStream TV to a strong 5 GHz network like I did, then you're only limited by your Wi-Fi router. I even watched PBSkids through the ClearStream with my daughter in our backyard tent before school started. Not bad for an $80 router.

Being a total newbie to the cord cutting world, I was really excited to find the ClearStream. Having multiple TV's in the house (two on the second floor, and the main tv in the basement), running wiring to each tv from our OTA antenna was just not a practical solution. Right out of the box the set up was unbelievably simple. The Clearstream took a few minutes to give us the "green light" and begin scanning channels, but after that, connecting to our wifi was really quick. Love the iphone app. Easy to navigate and actually feels like an app built for a premium product. I've run into so many third party apps like this that look like they were made for an iphone 4... It's nice to have an app that feels up to date and is quick to respond. Signal was great for us with really clear video. Obviously a lot of this has to do with the quality of your antenna and the strength of your wifi network. Both of ours are middle of the road, so you shouldn't need to have an expensive antenna/wifi router combo to use the clearstream. The only con I can think for the Clearstream is that the power cord is laughably short... but if that's the only thing that's going to keep you from buying an otherwise great product, I'm not sure what I could say that would make you happy. At very beginning, had some challenges for settup up the WiFi network, need my phone connect to the WiFi hotspot generated by this device, and then tell the device which SSID and password of my home WiFi router is using, then let my phone connects back to my home router WiFi. After doing that, I can get all channels scanned and viewed by my phone, I can re-allocate the deive together with the antenna to somewhere near the window or other better location to get the signal stronger, and since my home router covers my house well, I can watch live TV in every room even in some corner. It is very useful when I take my big ipad pro sitting in the yard and enjoy my beer in the evening. Nice product. And, if can support more devices watching TV at the same time will be better.

This is the second Clearsstream TV I bought. The first was for my Dad who is cutting the cord. It solves the problem of having to place an antenna in every room. it also has the ability to pause live TV. Its pretty easy to set up , but You need to make sure you have good wi-fi coverage in your house for it to work reliably on all TVs. People who who have left poor reviews probably need to relocate their router to a better area. Overall I am happy, it solves some issues by allowing me to place the antenna on the 2nd floor ( the area of the house that gets the best signal). A great idea for people who are cutting the cord.

I actually can't believe I'm pausing LIVE TV through an antenna! Needless to say, I am very excited about this. Love the free app, the instructions are simple and the setup was easy for me, even though I was sure I was doing something wrong at first. I watched Ellen on my phone an hour later! My WiFi connection isn't great where I am now, so there have been a few hiccups for me but I'm eager to try this out in my new apartment. I LOVE being able to watch (and PAUSE) TV on my phone in my bed. Did I mention I can pause live TV whenever I want?

I've been an uberfan of Antennas Direct products since I got my first antenna almost 10 years ago. I don't pay for cable, just wifi. My Clearstream TV came to my office address today. I took it home, opened the box, downloaded the app, set it up, and was watching all 30 of the broadcast channels i receive on ANY SCREEN IN THE HOUSE! Phone, Notebook, Tablet, CHECK! I've got friends that spend what this little miracle cost every month! These guys hit it out of the park this time!

The unit did work, but there are two major flaws: 1 (and most important in my book) The quality of the picture is significantly downgraded when it is streamed to the app. It must be compressed by the device or something. It is not even close to being HD. For example, the numbers/score of the game on the screen was very fuzzy and hard to read. There is a setting for HD or Standard Def and even with the HD selected the picture quality is poor. The problem was not my internet either, as I have a google home wifi mesh system and it is blazing fast -- on other apps I can easily stream 4k content. 2) There is no ability to pause or rewind on the Roku app. Not to mention it is very difficult to set up on a roku. you have to search the internet and log on through a website (not on the roku, but in a browser on the computer) and enter a code to download the app. Even then the app would not recognize that the device was set up (I had set it up on my amazon fire.) I would not recommend this unless you don't care about the picture quality. I wanted to use this for the upcoming NFL season, but there is no way I'm watching games that almost look fuzzy.

Ordered 8/2 on line, received 8/4. Frustrating set-up. But got it going after a call to tech support. After a channel scan, tried watching on my Fire HD 10 tablet. Can't go past 12 feet from Wi-Fi repeater that the CS-TV is connected to. Picture freezes a lot, and sound is too low to enjoy even with ear phones. The Roku app is not up yet, so can't check streaming on TVs. Think I return the ChelearStream TV to BestBuy and get the Tablo while its on sale, or wait for Cyber November sales and get a Tivo.

I purchased this along with one of their antennas Trying to cut the cord. I found a web site that you can input your zip code and it tells you how many channels you can expect to see. I was amazed by how many channels come in along with the ease of both Setup and use. I can stream anywhere in the house, and I can also stream to my TV using a Media box that i use for Netflix. Now with just paying for my internet this little wonder and my Netflix, I will save about 750 a year and on my fixed income is a blessing !!

Once I downloaded the app to my wife's Kindle she was up and running in under 10 minutes. She now can watch other channels while football is on. She says the season is too long. This may have saved our marriage. SHe loves it and I love her.
