I recently purchased webroot to replace kaspersky for the price needed a good anti-virus the firewall was just a bonus that came with it. The software work really nicely even on vista 64bit which is what I run it has a great support for quick download incase you lost your cd if you need it. This software offers simple use without lag even offers a game mode to prevent interruptions for gamers or those other programs. How ever there is a downside this is the first anti-virus that I ran accross that doesn't offer individual select scan of zip or folders like say you downloaded a file and wish to right-click and scan before opening which is why I gave it a 3 rating on usefulness. But I have to admit this software really works well I have caught few trojon's and spyware while downloading already. All-in-all I would recommand this for the price and ease of use but if you need or want individual scan feature look for another. FYI if you get software from store you may not get lastest so just register software at webroot site and than request download based on your package and install as I did for my vista 64 ultimate with service pack 1.

Web Root is allegedly the better internet security software for the Draconian Dial-up. For the past two weeks, I encountered a slow connection which oftentimes freeze. Upon disconnecting & reconnecting, I receive temporary DSL speed (normal without viruses,etc.). Web Root could be great for DSL users. But, for Dial-up users, save your money and keep searching.

before i have used norton and mcafee. not the best programs out there but they were the only things i had. untill i stubled over this thing. i gave it a test run. i purposely installed a virus, spyware, worm, adware, root kit and a trojen horse. it wouldn't let me install most of them and wouldn't let me go to the website to install the spyware! i tried like 5000 times to purposely install a worm and finnally let me. i went into safe mode and it picked it up like THAT! *snaps* the safe mode interface to use was painless. and you can make the scan fast or slower and more through. two thumbs up to you webroot!

I'm not a computer whiz so when my I found out that my computer had a trojan and lots of adware on it, I didn't know what to do. Took it to best buy and they said since my computer was only 4 months old ad I had an online back up, the best thing was to restore my comuter and to buy webroot anti virus and spyware and place onmy comp for future occurances. That was the best advice. I have been using this product now for 2 weeks and it great. Its very simple to install and easy to use. My comuter is running great, so I guess that means it catching everything it should be. Great Product!!!

My Daughter's computer had developed a virus, that literally DESTROYED her computer.Called WEBROOT,after being on hold for 69 minutes explained the situation,and asked WHY something like this happened when i'm paying for it NOT to happen.Received a LAME explanation and E-mail to correct the problem. Too bad i couldn't open the e-mail because of the virus. Had to throw the computer AWAY....NOT HAPPY WITH WEB ROOT!!!

I had to get an antivirus program under $50 and I found this. It's great, It updates for new definitions every hour, and It detects anything remotely harmful to your computer and quarantines it, and then you can permanently delete it easily. It's got a gamer mode where it doesnt interrupt any games your playing.

I had first purchased Trend Antivirus Software but it was not wanting to load onto my computer so then the people at Best Buy switched it for this Spysweeper which did not work good at ALL! From the first month I started using it, it would take about an hour and a half to sweep. Then it started shutting off on itself (the software) I would have to go and turn it on about 2 times everytime I was using my computer. & When I would be on the internet it would bring up a pop-up box that would say something was wanting to load on my computer and if I wanted to 'allow it' or 'not' I would always click on 'not to allow it' but it kept popping up the same box. And after some 4-5 times of that it would warn me that I had to turn on my software! So I really DON'T reccomend this software to anyone. It's only been 2 months since I've had my laptop and it already has a whole bunch of viruses. Which is going to cost me $200 to fix. It's just not worth it!

Great product! This software is easy to use and it doesn't slow down your computer.

best i seen better then kaspersky norton and mcafee with better detection then others, scan fast, updates often that dont slow you down, a price thats good. this is not really a con but it could use less resources needs a bigger database

I used to be a fan of Webroot's SpySweeper and after having many problems with ZoneAlarm's Internet Security Suite screwing up portions of my PC's switched to Comodo firewall and read Webroot's AV was great. If only! After installing the software, began immediately having problems where the scans for viruses/spyware would be running for 4+ hours without getting more than a quarter of the way completed. Tech support was more than useless and support documentation on their website even more so. Stay away from this software like the plague!

I bought this program because i had head it does not use a lot of resources. Well they were correct it does not how ever it does not catch half the viruses out there either. Since i have had this program, I have had a total of 15 viruses. Not good i am getting rid of this program and going back with Norton at least i never got a virus with them.

Pretty much the best protection for it's value. I would recommend this to anyone simple and can't handle complicated things.
