There's a taller building next door, so I have the antenna horizontal on a small table about 4' in from the window. Better than other antennas that can be used inside an apartment.

Some are high definition, many are not. Local news channels come in clear in HD. AnTop digital antenna serves its purpose.

I live in an apartment complex built in a heavily wooded area by a river bank. I am able to watch complete programs without interruption.

I have purchased this model for my mom and sister. I set it in the stand, ran the cable from the antenna to the amplifier, then a cable from the amplifier to the TV, and plugged in the amplifier. I wasn't sure which direction to point the antenna, but Antop customer service helped me with that and how to do the channel scans. Great indoor antenna!

It is broadcast locally which means no more that 20 miles. As a matter of fact all the local stations are in a 20 mile radius. Any way the reviews that I read and trust gave this antenna top ratings. However, when I got it I was sorely disappointed! I tried all of the positions I could think of but the reception was terrible. There are good antenna out there, but this in not one of them!

Posted .Hello, I apologize this unit didn't work out for you. The AT-500SBS has a booster that comes with the unit. If you cranked the booster to the highest level, it can cause signal loss. Depending on how close you are to the towers would determine how much gain you will need on the booster. It is also a directional unit and would need to be pointing towards the direction of the towers. This is a common mistake as most as most people crank the booster on high and that causes signal loss and you will receive less channels.
