Customers are positive about the monitor's color quality, HDR performance, and contrast, with users noting impressive black levels and great picture quality. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the local dimming feature, which locks the brightness, and the viewing angles. There were also a few comments on the monitor stand. On the other hand, some customers are happy that the monitor can run at the advertised refresh rate without limiting the color range.

Good In An Age of Fantastic

I am torn on this monitor. The blacks as advertised are pretty good, much better than your average IPS... The display is bright compared to an OLED. It's a lovely monitor...
But there are issues. Sometimes I do see black smearing, particularly in scenes where there is a region of dark surrounded by light or light surrounded by dark. Sometimes small white objects like a mouse cursor will be dimmed to keep the blacks dark, which sort of ruins the illusion somewhat. I tried to plug in DisplayPort, but it kept flickering on and off. Looking online, it might be my graphics card not liking two DisplayPort outputs or it might be the monitor. HDMI works, but limits this monitor to 144 Hz. This monitor was supposed to tide me over until Black Friday (bought in prime day window) so I wouldn't miss my previous OLED that died tragically, but ultimately I bought another OLED soon afterward. This will become the Discord/other screen while the OLED becomes the Game/Video screen.
I didn't return it because the sale window passed and it's pretty good when it behaves. I was trying to decide between a 4k monitor and this one for 50 bucks less, and I'd have chosen the 4k monitor if I could go back in time. However, I also have a 1080p monitor that it will replace that is super old (2014 vs 2025 time of review post). And again, the blacks are very nice. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. However, when choosing between 4 and 3, I had to lean toward the negative because it's hard to put too much weight into the basics. It's a 1440p monitor... and you can buy one of those from 150 nowadays. It's 180 Hz if you can get DisplayPort to work... also 150. And the backlight is good... but when OLEDs keep falling down in price... It sort of feels like a half-step.
It's a good monitor. It's just that we're in an age of 300 dollar 4k monitors and 400 dollar OLEDs during Prime Days or Black Fridays. A good monitor in an age of great monitors. 250 was the price I paid, and chances are that monitor prices keep going down. If only graphics cards would follow, one reason I chose this one was because a 4k monitor risks pushing modern graphics cards to an early grave nowadays...

I tried out a few monitors recently, but this is the one I am keeping. I haven't had any issues with VRR Flickering, black smearing or poor viewing angles. I did try the AOC Q27G3XMN for a couple of weeks, but returned it. This monitor feels like a definite upgrade.
I am limiting my refresh rate to 120 hz so I can take advantage of the 10 bit RGB. I did color calibrate it, but it was pretty accurate out of the box.

Great Montior; mediocre stand.

Overall, this montior has been amazing compared to the one i used in the past. The Mini-LED panel absolutely blows away anything i had before, and has the added bonus of mimicing an OLED panel to an extent, even if the dimming zones can still be seen turning off and on with certain content. It also has a surprisingly wide range of features; although i havent actually gone through them fully myself. Turning on local dimming is a MUST on this!
The only real complaint i have; even though its not a dealbreaker for me, is the stand and lack of ergonomic adjustments. Unlike my older montior, it cant swivel to a portrait mode and the stand is VERY limiting, only offering tilt adjustments.
Otherwise, if you're looking for a relatively affordable (in its class) montior that has qualities similar to a far more expensive OLED, or if you're simply looking for something with great picture quality, then i'd recconmend this montior.

Great monitor, good clarity and gets plenty bright. 180hz is a sweetspot for fps. Only downside is monitor stand doesnt slide up and down. But dimming zones are fantastic. For 250 its a steal compared to other montiors. Doesnt break the bank compared to OLED monitors

This monitor exceeded my expectations. The HDR picture is excellent, making every scene look incredibly vivid. What impressed me most is the deep black levels—it really adds depth to games and movies. Great quality for the price.

This is an excellent monitor for the price. The mini-LED and local dimming make for excellent contrast for games and movie streaming. The picture is also very sharp during general computer tasks as well. I also believe the colors are very accurate as well.

Screen looks great when its working properly but it is a major pain to setup for multiple tasks. If I wanted to use HDR in windows then i needed to use the picture HDR setting in the monitor menu because when windows hdr is selected makes everything look really washed out. However when opening a game and trying to play with HDR it doesnt work properly either, it required constantly flipping back and forth from the manual monitor HDR settings to the game HDR settings to make it look right. Local dimming can also be a factor in it looking right which adds even more things to mess around with constantly. If there were presets specifically for this that would be breat but I couldnt get it to work. I have a 5 year old TCL 4k TV that HDR just works as it should whether in windows or in games without any setting up needed at all. This is what i was hoping for but its just not there with this monitor. I ended up returning it.

Real HDR makes a big difference for a monitor in some situations. To get real HDR, and not washed out fake HDR, at this price is insane.
On the negative side, the monitor stand, the ports, everything that isn’t the panel feels a bit cheap. It can also be tricky to configure the settings to fit your preferences. If you’re not tech savvy, it might be a real hassle to set up perfectly. Definitely do your research on the proper settings to get the most out of it.
But, for $250 this is the best 1440p 27in monitor.

Good Budge 1440P Monitor

A good budge 1440P monitor. Would suggest looking up a guide on how to tweak the monitor to take advantage of the HDR capabilities. Just note though that your milage may vary, as Windows seems to have a hard time adjusting to it after exiting games; the backlighting becomes dim or the brightness levels become dialed way back.

This monitor is absolutely perfect for high refresh rate 1440p gaming. The 180Hz panel makes everything look smooth, from fast-paced shooters to open-world games. The Mini-LED backlighting gives strong brightness and contrast, and the colors look sharp. For the price, this monitor delivers top-tier performance.

Used it to replace OLED screen that I originally got just for games and home use before getting a work from home job. That static content for so long gave it burn in so I replaced it with this. Is it just as good? Definitely not but it's pretty darn close considering the panel tech and the price. I just ordered a second one for dual monitors.

The colors are amazing but it honestly doesnt seem to be very console friendly. It is a lot easier to dial the screen in on a PC then a PS5, I could never get the image quality exactly just right.
