Beautiful screen with a pleasant matte texture that gives perfect color and quality. Bright but doesn't cause eyestrain at all even with long usage in the dark.

Great monitor. Didn't work for my space, but build quality is incredible and it looks amazing color-wise. BB was very helpful with the return.

Its pretty good, especially for its price point, my onlu gripe is that it doesnt seem super sturdy with the base stand.

If you value smooth gameplay I'd avoid this monitor like the plague. My old Asus 75hz TN panel felt faster than the G40. With the G40, you could feel the stutters whenever you move the camera in games like RDR2 or GTAV enhanced. VRR and Vsync never seemed to fix it, even when capped at 120fps. Screen tearing was also an issue for me, even with Vsync enabled. Almost felt like Gsync wasn't working at all. VRR flicker was prevalent with some black smearing as well. The viewing angles were also atrocious, you could be sitting dead center in front of the monitor and still notice the edges of the screen fading out whether its close up or further away. Can't speak for HDR cause I don't bother with it but the colors in SDR looked washed out with a red tint. When selecting SRGB color space it locks a lot of settings for some reason. You can't get the full 10 bit color at the max refresh rate and the reason why I kept it at 120hz which was a bit of a let down. It seems that this monitor performs badly at lower refresh rates around 80 to 120hz which is what I mostly play at. I am convinced that the people who give these AOC monitors all the praise don't actually play video games. My advice? Stick to an IPS or spend some more cash on an OLED if you value smoothness and color accuracy. Also please don't listen to the snake oil salesman at Rtings, they love to give these monitors a good rating. Maybe the panel I bought could've been a dud but this was just my experience as an average gamer.

This is my first 1440p monitor that I finally jumped on because I just wanted to try it. Been a 1080p fan for a long time but since I hooked this bad boy up and launched my shooty games I wish I'd bought one sooner. The clarity and options this thing has are awesome. I couldn't be happier!

The monitor is performance is decent. However, it has a dead pixel. I've seen a number of other posts in other forums mentioning dead/stuck pixels. I asked BB to give me a retroactive discount and I'd keep the monitor but it's against their or AOC's policy. So instead I have to repackage and return the monitor, BB has to send it back to AOC, AOC has to refurbish it and then sell it to someone else at a discount instead of just discounting for me. What a waste. So, I take off 3 stars for the dead pixel and the wasteful policy.

Read the review from Rtings about this being the best budget monitor. Got it on sale. It did not disappoint 10/10

Excellent monitor with good size, no faulty corners. Modern update compared to older model; would reccomend. Though the stand isn't really adjustable.

I'm so glad Best Buy is carrying this monitor now. It's such a good value, the next step from here is OLED.

I purchased this in May and quickly found it has 2 dead pixels. One is truly dead and just black which is not too bad but the other is stuck on bright green which makes this monitor look really bad. Unfortunately when I tried to exchange I found that Best Buy has a 2 week exchange policy and I was at 15 days.... Not great customer service. I have owned many monitors in my life and this is the first time I have had bad pixels. Makes the monitor look like garbage. I looked at AOC's No Dead Pixel policy and it says something like it has to have more than 3 dead pixels before they would do anything. I an stuck with this monitor until 1 or 2 more pixels goes bad so AOC will do something.

This has been the best monitor I've ever had. Everything looks amazing on it.

Locked brightness with local dimming enabled. Eye-piercingly bright. Horrible ghosting and bad response time compared to previous model. Want to return but just barely passed my return window.

Monitor got a dead pixel within one week of using it.
