In this digital age having more and more expensive electronic devices to keep charged and free-of uninterrupted power supply, specially if the power goes off during a thunderstorm and a power surge protection device all built into one unit is perfect, specially if it works 100% of the time.

We periodically purchase these UPS for workstations. They have prevented the loss of data in case of a power outage or surge. They are reliable and the backup batteries last a couple of years.

This is a super reliable product, priced moderately and worth every penny. Protects all your expensive play toys, I-pads, I-phones, lap tops, PC's and more from those deadly power surges that can ruin your units and end up costing you 10 to 20 times more than the price of this unit.

The UPS comes disconnected internally - you must open the battery compartment and connect the red (+) and black (-) cables to the battery. I do not connect to my PC or run the software - just use it to keep my computer running and give me time to gracefully shut down in a power outage.

APC products have always lasted longer than any of their competitors. I've purchased other branded UPS and they have consistently failed. APC last and lasts. The only thing that goes out after many years of use is the battery. And in this UPS can be replaced with little effort.

The only reason I don't give it five stars is there is no software available for Mac.

What else can I say? It's a battery backup and it works and I've never had any problems with APC. On a Mac there's really no need to install software, just plug the USB cord and it will see it. From there you can set it automatically shutdown if the battery gets too low.

Shopped around for some type of home use UPS, this was the best offer for the money

Battery backups are a cheap solution to computer replacement. I've always used a battery backup, and my experience is that I have to replace computers less frequently.

I bought this UPS for my DVR, and it seems to work perfectly! I also have my cable modem and router on it too. It seems to have enough power to get my equipment through the short/rare power outages I get. I don't lose power often, but when I do... I use APC.

easy to install with my various systems , also on sale at just the right time

I bought this unit as a power backup for modem, router , switch and ATA . This unit saved me from having to reboot the router and Obihai100 ATA when a brownout occurs. My only issue is that the UPS power outlets are so close together that they won't allow power bugs that are oriented sideways . I have 2 of those types and had to sacrifice one outlet to add an extension strip .

Easy setup, it test the wiring and actual found an issue with the electrical outlet. It has saved my hardware several times since I purchased it. Great investment.

Powers my desktop, a monitor, and Polycom VoIP phone long enough to save and shut everything down normally. Have a second one for my network. Currently filters the ethernet line for surges, and keeps the modem from flicking out during brief power surges.

Quite a surprising transaction. Love the APC battery backup, works perfect for my new HDTV. More than that, the service from BestBuy was fantastic. Easy purchase experience, great price, free shipping and it arrived next day! Can't ask for more than that!

These battery backups I used for Pc's. They are great for televisions as well. The runtime is more than enough time to shut down a computer, save your work and finish what you are working on. Great Product. Would never purchase any other backup besides APC.

Our power goes off every day when it storms for about a second. That cuts the power to the cable modem and cable / internet goes out for like for like 5 mins while system reboots. Since using this we have not had any issues with losing power to modem.

It's perfect for our aquarium to keep the motor and filters running

Unit replaces a similar unit I have had for many years. I purchased an almost like unit for that reason. The battery was no longer working on my old unit. This unit seems to work well. I expect many years of service from this one as well.

I had an older model that had its battery die after 5 years. This model was on sale and exactly what I was looking for. The Ethernet surge protection was a plus. It's happily protecting my router and other Internet devices from blackouts.
