Best Buy had it on sale (maybe a closeout b/c price was very compelling ({compared w/Amazon}) and free shipping too! I have 3 of these units; some in other wattage capacities but essentially the same style and build architecture. Cannot beat these for computer and/or any expensive electronics backup and surge protection!

I have purchased several of these before and they are a great way to protect your electronics from power surges and outages!!

Living in Florida, we needed something that would keep the PCs running during our frequent summer power interuptions. They usually only last for minutes, but the computers usually reboot. Surge protection isn't a prime consideration as we have a "Zap Cap" on our meter. So far this does the trick to keep both PCs the router and cable modem going.

Great battery backup, ease of use and very affordable

The battery is more expensive to replace than the whole unit. Therefore, I replace the unit rather than buying the battery.

Works great and reliable, has a long life with constant use

Am using as back up for new TV, TIVO, Bluray player and sound system. Worked well with the short power outage we had last week.

Works well. Gracefully shutdown. The 340-joule rating absorbs a high amount of energy to help keep your equipment protected.

My computer technician warned me about the risk of not having a backup for my computer. He insisted I make this purchase.

Replaced bad UPS & working great. It was easy to set up.

I purchased this primarily to keep my network "stable" during power dips, such as when my furnace kicks on. It works perfectly for this. I have not had a full power outage to see how long it can keep everything going, but i suspect a while since i only have my cable modem, router, and printer plugged into the back up outlets. The reason for 4 stars is because i believe it should have a higher level of protection. 340 joules is just not enough, even for this fairly inexpensive unit.

I bought this backup not for computer but for a power recliner. If power is lost then to exit the chair you had to clime out. About 2 days after installing the power went out and having the backup was able to exit chair normally. Works great. I also use the outlets for cellphone, ipad and other devices.

I use this product for power backup on my critical network gear, including modem, router, home automation hub, and network switch. Only thing I wish it had was an additional backup receptacle.

Bought this for my dad who has multiple PCs and technological equipment in his home office. He is very happy with it.

This was a replacement for the oldest which turned over 10 years of continued use. Have always liked the brand.

This item works as advertised. Runs work station and network switch without any flaws and with a long run time.

I have used this brand before and purchased this one to replace an old one the "Died" after years of service.

Fit exactly where I wanted it and provided more than enough plugs - both just shielded and also on the battery. The only annoying point as the constant beeping while the power is out. I would think we would notice that the power was out without this thing beeping on a regular basis. If it had a switch to disable that, would get 5 stars. Only caveat would be - have not had a real power outage since owning this, all testing has been by unplugging it...

I had a few power outages and it held the power on to the devices I needed to protect my house so it's good.

I purchased this for my computer command center. When the city cut the power this device kicked in flawlessly.
