So far I am enjoying my new black APC - Back-UPS 600VA UPS. I have had no problems with it so far. It replaced my older model that started beeping continuously.

I have owned it for about 2 months. I've had to used it 2 times already due to some short power outages. Have not being able to test how long the battery last, but it lasted the 30 minutes i was without electricity having my wireless modem and apple time capsule connected to it. Only down side is that it only has 4 of the total 8 outlets for the back up power. Which should be enough for most people. I'm happy to know that even if the power is out I can still have access to the internet(if its still working in my area) and my local connections to my apple time capsule.

The 600VA APC is the perfect amount of protection for my desktop and wireless router. I live in an area with semi-frequent brownouts, so I've already had ample opportunity to see it in action - reliably kicks in every time, and no setup required. My only complaint is there was no PowerChute/equivalent utility available from APC's website for use on my Ubuntu OS.

Live in Florida - lightning capitol of the US. I have APC battery BackUps like this one I bought for my computer, monitor, and Comcast router. It has 4 plugs that are battery backed and 4 that are just surge - speakers, lamp, etc. I has enough battery power for all these devices too. But now when we have those momentary blinks of power with lightning, my computer and network is still humming along! And if I were to get struck, replacing this single device is much less expensive than replacing my computer!

I got this UPS for my computer tower and monitor to prevent data loss and damage from the power flickering due to seasonal weather issues. The UPS has worked very well so far. You don't even notice short blinks and it has a big enough battery to let you shut down properly during longer interruptions. It has an alarm that goes off when you lose power which I find useful. If the power goes out at night it wakes me up so I can take care of things.

This is a big, honkin' heavy thing. I live in FL where the wind blows and then the power decides to take a nap on a near daily basis during the summer months. I purchased this for my desktop PC and gaming consoles so I would, at minimum, have at least enough time to save my games and documents when the power goes kaput. Mission accomplished.

I needed a reliable UPS for the PC in my apartment as I travel a lot & need to get information from the PC wherever I am. It's an older apartment; power dips at least 4x/year. My PC sometimes hangs at reboot, so I had to set up a UPS else I was dead until I got back home.
The APC setup in 5 minutes. First business trip I took, power failed at the apartment. APC kept the PC going for the whole time power was out. Whew!

For any computer system in an area where there are thunderstorms and electrical outages, this is a must. Electrical problems are not your computer's friend, and this will prolong the life of any computer and save data when the power suddenly goes out. You'll have about 15 minutes to save data and turn off your computer.

In the few weeks it's been under my desk, I've witnessed my APC 600VA UPS keep power to my box and two 21-Inch monitors despite multiple surges and a couple short outages, one lasting several minutes. With UPS units, you just want them to work long enough to shut down or absorb the power anomaly - it doesn't need fancy features or a sleek chassis - it just has to work. This one does.

This was a replacement for a previous purchase, the old one needed a new battery after many years and it was cheaper to buy a new one. It does a great job managing our frequent power outages and has enough charge to plug in the cell phones to charge them when the power does go out. I don't really care for the alarms when the battery charge depletes. It drives me and the pets crazy.

I wouldn't trust my computers and other electronics to any other brand. APC is known industry wide for great UPS/surge protector products and this one lives up to the hype.
Just remember not to plug printers in the back up outlets. Only plug printers into the surge protected outlets.

Used APC going on for 2 decades now. The products last and the build quality is fantastic. I got these for my network routers in my rental units. Time to install from unboxing to mounting on the wall was less than 5 mins each.
Like every other APC product I have ever owned, I am looking forward to at least 10 years (excluding the battery changes) of service.

I purchased the APC - Back-UPS 600VA UPS to use with a new computer system. I have another APC device on a second computer system and an additional one on my entertainment system. the extra time to shut down the PC during power failure and protection during power fluxcuation. Another benefit is that I rarely have to reset the digital clocks on TV, VCR, DVD players.

I recently bought this backup to replace an old one I have had for at least 8 years. These backups are built tough and last! One feature I didn't notice all those years ago is that you can purchase just the battery when it goes bad. So I will be keeping the new one and also buying a new battery for the old one to keep as a backup. Great product!
