This UPC is a little more expensive than the others that I have purchased but you need protection for the computers so what can you do?

I have bought a desktop and in the past have always want to get a battery backup source. APC is high quality, and I am glad I purchased this. I was afraid that if I set it up and installed the software that it wouldn't work with windows 8.1 or it would somehow mess up power settings, etc.... overall I was a little worried that I would be disappointed.... I am NOT disappointed, the setup went Great! I have ALOT of confidence in this product now that I have set it up. Buy one of these if you want Surge protection PLUS Power source when power goes out....... Now of course don't expect to run it all day on the battery charge if your Main power to house goes out......... You should expect to be able to shut down correctly if the power doesn't come back on soon though.

I purchased this in February and never tested the battery functionality. Within a few weeks I had a power outage (for just a few minutes) and noticed all of my devices connected to the battery portion of the UPS were shut off. I decided to charge it up and do some testing. When disconnected from power, everything would shut off - I could not get anything to power off of the battery. I just recently returned this UPS for a Cyber Power unit.

Great buy as we have several power outages and this prevents any loss of data and gives you time to power down your computer

Had to return the unit as the battery refused to charge. The only way I knew was when the power went out everything shut off and the alarm sounded until it was turned off. Tried the APC brain drain procedure, but that did not fix it. I am going will a different brand from now on. I have seem this way too many times.

Good picture but motion blur very bad, not true 120. Gave me a headache to watch it.

I first bought the Cyberpower ups battery backup but I got the defective unit so I decided to get this unit instead. In comparison this is 6 lbs heavier than the cyberpower. This APC battery backup works right out of the box, does not have to wait 8 hours to turn it on but still need 16 hours for the battery to be charged to provide power in case of power failure. I have my modem, telephone and router connected to this unit, thunderstorm season results to occasional power interruptions, now instead of having a plain surge protector. my equipments have battery back up too.

Not only a defective product but a pain to do business with on the credit end! I have 809 credit score with 12 credit cards and Best Buy won't issue me a credit card I Have to use a Bank of America credit card.

APC has always been my go to brand for battery back-ups. This unit is compact and handles the required load for a desk top Windows 10 unit with external hard drive very well.

We use these to protect our computer's and other peripherals. Nice warranty and solid product. -1 star as I have had these die on me after power surges in the past. To their benefit, they did protect the equipment plugged in.

I bought this UPS as a backup power for my Dell PC. It has been working well. Got a good price on Bestbuy.com. Thanks.

This thing work like a charm, can protect my devices and can be great for a blackout. I have two units and last time there was a black out I still had my internet and my laptop running.

This battery backup works great for our modem/router. Our area seems to have a lot of power outages, so it's nice to still have internet until the power comes back on.

I've had this UPS hooked up to my PC for several months now. We get power surges/outages unfortunately frequently in our neighborhood, but the UPS has done just what it's supposed to do. High fives!
