My old APC battery died after about 5 years. New battery was 60$ online, this was cheaper on sale around Christmastime. So far works just as well as old one, with a similar size.

I purchased one for a TV and one for my embroidery machine. With fluctuating power didn't want to risk damaging my machine. Both fit my purpose. APC makes a great Backup UPS.

Im satisfied with this UPS in price and function. I was needing a compact UPS for my router, printer and laptop because we have regular intermittent power outages. This works great for that purpose and allows me to shut down my systems properly And even finish my print jobs.

This UPS is the one I use for peripheral equipment but it will also enable a PC to shut down during an outage. It's a little more expensive than the competitors but well worth it once you experience the software package and management tools it has free. I also have two other APC 1500VA and all use the same management software and this provides excellent scalability. I am using all three in a home configuration and have them running in series for about a 15 minute full load shutdown. I have mine configured to stay on as long as possible then shutdown when they reach my predetermined threshold. My oldest is three years and no worries at all.

I was concerned that there might be a hum or buzz during normal operation, but other than warning beeping when it shifts to battery during a power outage, it seems to be silent.

So far, so good with this power supply. It was easy to set up and has already saved me when the power flickered on and off. I'm hoping it's more reliable than my last one . .

I own 2 embroidery machines and they often run at hours on end. The UPS is a must to sew undeterred should there be a power failure or even surges. I recommend this product.

This is my 3rd APC UPS. Got this for my BR TV, DVD units, and satellite receiver. Other two APC UPS are for desktop computers (plus peripherals) and LR TVs, DVD unit and sat. receivers. These UPSs kick in as advertised when there is a power outage. When the outage is a quickie (a few seconds), your work or enjoyment go on uninterrupted. If the outage looks to be a long one, you will have time to shut down your TVs, computers, etc. properly and to protect them from potential brown-outs (these are the real danger to your entertainment devices). Just be sure you get an UPS with a sufficient VA rating to support your equipment.

I've had good luck with APC battery backup units. I've only had one situation with a bad power surge and the protected PC and monitor had no problems whereas other equipment with some other surge suppressors had serious problems. I find the batteries do degrade after about 3 years and have to be replaced. I suppose that's the nature of the battery technology. I've had limited success with third party replacement batteries but I've never tried an APC replacement battery as they are much more expensive. Frankly, I just wait for a sale and replace the entire unit for about the same cost as an APC replacement battery.

I know there are a few cheaper battery backup companies, but I've been using APC since the late 1990s and I just need something to support a small office networking equipment (modem, router, switch) plus adding a n additional NAS drive. The 600Va was a much better value than the 550 or 450, as the extra voltage / battery life and outlets are worth the price. My only complaint is it;s not one of the new "sleek" models with LED, but wasn't really necessary. Just more of aesthetics.

APC continues to delivery excellent products with the option to replace only the battery for half the unit's cost. The battery typically lasts around 3-5 years.

Love this for when the power goes out, the kids don't get as scared because the can still watch tv or use computer

This is a great product. It does everything I needed it to do. The price was amazing. Just take the time and fully charge it before you plug anything into it.

It is very easy to set up and worked well when the power recently went out in my office. I allowed us to power down our computers. No damage to our computers.

From my years dealing with electronics, I always suggest that a GOOD UPS be used. I personally have a UPS connected to each computer and router that I have.

Bro...sooner or later the lights are going to go out. Sometimes more than once a day! Now, if you are running critical electronics from your crib 24/7/365 then you can't afford to go dark..ever. This means you've got to have your own juice...your own supply...that's where the APC units come in...Set up is a snap..When the juice fails you can ride-out the interruption (up to 40 minutes***) until you figure out "Plan B". I ordered this with high expectations, and they were met. I've already had a power outage which allowed me to fully utilize the devices' ability.

APC makes the best UPS devices and are worth the extra cost. I try to get them on sale and buy before my old device fails to hold its charge.
