Great little UPS

ABC makes a decent UPS and this one is just the right size for what we were using it for. It's only 650VA so it's not well suited for large systems and monitors but if you want a little protection on a TV or other electronics it's perfect.

Power surge because of weather? If you have a UPS your safe. If not your are buying a new TV or Computer. Well worth the cost.

It is for a desktop computer and and monitor. It is more compact which means we can put it out of the way.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our BVN650M1. I apologize for the issue you are facing with the unit. Since we are using ABS plastic and injection molding the plastics are heated by a certain amount to be able to be molded and is mostly where smell comes from and would not affect the performance of the unit specially when new and out of the box and will soon dissipate.
