Customers enjoy the Back-UPS Connect 450VA for its battery life, performance, size, surge protection, reasonable price, and ease of use. The design and overall UPS functionality are also appreciated. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the outlet spacing, the absence of a USB port, and the loudness of the beeping sound.

I live in a place where the power frequently goes out due to high heat, and this has saved my life several times already. I got one for my mother and brother too after seeing so much success from this one, definitely a must-have if you're frequently working on important work! It's also very pretty looking, I love it

It's so far a reliable unit with fast enough response time to spare a computer shutting down with the brief power interruptions my area seems prone to. That should be a minimum requirement but the last one I had was not fast enough for that so it was relegated to less critical duties.
The form factor is nice and allows it to be tucked discreetly behind a desk, cabinet etc. Very happy with this unit.

Got upgraded to newest modem/router from Comcast. It does not have a backup battery option at all. Got this unit to back up my phone and internet service for power failure. It was less expensive than Comcast charged for the backup battery for the previous modem and that only backed up phone service. Easy to use but have not had any power failures yet so don't really know how well it works.

I previously owned a larger electronic APC backup and loved it. Had nearly everything running through it, had long battery life, etc. After MANY years of ownership, battery finally drained so I had to replace it, Since I didn't need the same amount of protection, I decided to go with this smaller unit. Thing works like a charm. Never have any problems, and if the electricity goes out, instant backup protecting my ability to save open files.

I needed something to backup my TIVO and cable tuning adapter from the not-so-uncommon power glitches we get here. Just a fraction of a second can send those boxes into a tizzy. Since buying this we have had 3 such "glitches" and this UPS did its job every time and kept the boxes powered without interruption or requiring rebooting. I calculated that if necessary it would keep my TIVO BOLT+ and the tuning adapter powered for about 40 minutes.

Bought the APC - Back-UPS 450VA Battery Back-Up System to use to keep the small electronics up and running during a temporary power outage. Within weeks of purchase we had a power outage and it allowed for about 40 minutes of backup power. I had 3 items connected including Internet Modem, Arlo Base Station and Apple Time Capsule.

It is worth every penny! In my area they are working on, replacing, and running new power cables. I have been having a lot of problems with the power going out while the computer is running and this fixed everything. If the power goes out it gives me plenty of time to save whatever I am doing and turn the computer off correctly. I honestly liked it so much that I bought another one.

Living in Florida, we have a lot of lightning storms coming through which causes “brown outs” at anytime. My cable box, modem and tv would take a beating when this happened and the box and modem would need to reboot which was not quickly done. This device has stopped that from happening. Now when a brown out occurs, this equipment stays up and running as if nothing happened. Well worth the investment!

This thing for the most part has just been peace of mind. But recently had the lights go out momentarily and even forgot that I had it until I realized that my equipment kept running even thought the rest of the house was pitch black! So for that plus the surge protector built inside it was a good investment for my expensive electronics!!

This is a great thing to have . It’s two products in one. It’s a power surge protector and a power back up . And the power goes out a lot here . It has 6 plugs . And last 2.3 hours on battery. I got this for hurricane season but I use it all the time . It’s nice that I don’t have to reset the time , or reboot every time the power goes out . But if we do have a hurricane I can charge my laptop or phone

All I needed was a UPS for when the power flickers. There's a couple of times the power would just go out for a second or two, but it was enough to shut the PCs off. This prevents that from happening. It's also a great piece of mind knowing there is no need to worry about outages during updates. Plus there's enough outlets for the modem and router, so all is covered.

Great compact power supply, we get occasional brown outs and power flickers this unit keeps things running when other systems crash ... it's small enough to put under a desk or behind a TV/media console, I've got a total of 3 just because its convenient in that I don't have to restart computers/printers etc. it protects the circuits from the stress of an unstable power feed.

This backup-UPS replaces a similar one bought TEN years ago. Hopefully I'll get ten years out of this one as well. Easy installation with its default settings; nice to have six surge-protected outlets with four of them having backup protection. Electronics are expensive so surge and backup protection are necessities. Found this unit on sale, but would have been worth it at full price, too.

The battery back up was easy to connect and use. The only thing we didn't like is that you can only mute the warning sound (when the battery is low) for a short term. If you have a separate winter home the warning sound could go off and last for months until you return. Apparently there are other models where this is not the case per the support team.

I'm in a house that has some pretty wild power spikes. This little device has prevented them from damaging 2 new high end builds. I haven't had any power outages since the purchase, but easily expect to have enough power to bring everything off-line safely. It is certainly worth $40 dollars to protect a $3,000 machine!

Smaller battery back up that works well for smaller electronics. I’m using this as a battery backup for my 3D printers just in case I lose power. I don’t know how long it would run both of them, I imagine a decent amount of time since they have relatively small power supplies compared to a full desktop pc. I just need it to cover temporary outages and this should work well for that.

Heavy but very solid. Protects my computer and makes an audible clicking sound if the power surges. Has enough juice to keep my monitor going for about 10-15 minutes after power outage. Highly recommend this.

I purchased it to prevent power interruptions on my Philips lighting hub. Sadly, it did not work. So I moved it and I’m now using it for my directv receiver. So when I lose electricity, my receiver no longer has to reboot.

This is got to be one of the best items I bought for myself in a long time. As it DJ sometimes we deal with power problems. With this battery back up all of my worries losing power to my computer in the middle of a show are gone. It has already saved to my computer one time. From the manager who pulled the power plug on me by accident and the show still went on.
I totally recommend it!

I use this little guy to power my data closet where I have my Cable Internet/Landline box and booster for Satellite dish. My previous one blew up in the last big lightning storm, which is a perfect sacrifice for its use. This little guy hangs on the wall in its place and is smaller with more power then the last unit I had. Perfect fit and does a good job of providing power for my little data closet!
