We live in a rural area and experience occasional electric outages. The APC - Back-UPS 450VA Battery Back-Up System was purchased to provide a stable power source to our modem and router. It works well for that purpose and is easy to setup and use.

I do like the fact that the new form factor is smaller than the previous shoebox sized UPS that it replaced. Only drawback is the outlets are a bit closer together and there is one less outlet than the previous shoebox UPS this replaced so I had to do some adjustment to get everything plugged back in. It is also lighter than the previous one (smaller battery? hopefully the same runtime).

I purchased two APC Battery Backup and Surge Protector because I have been hit by lightning twice. The surge damaged my T.V. I believe that the backup surge protector will save me problems in the future.

I bought this for a battery backup for my led TV because the power for our house goes out a lot and my old battery backup was not performing like it was suppose to but this battery backup has worked beautifully and I will recommend it to anybody who wants one!!

This is a great battery backup. I bought it because I was tripping breakers during the holiday season and didn’t want my 2 computers losing power. I think the breaker has tripped at least 3 times and it has done what it is supposed to.

Great!! I purchase for my relative in the Dominican Republic where there is blackout often so they have the internet modem/router connected to it and provides 4 - 5 hours of internet

Literally days after buying this item, we had a power outage that lasted for hours. This device worked perfectly; kept my iMac and external monitor on for an hour before I could stop home and shut down. No issues, and worked exactly as expected.

One week after installed, a storm blew through and knocked out the transformer to our building. When asked how my computer was still on, I was able to refer someone to the newly installed battery backup. Small and compact and looks nice.

To my satisfaction I had great service this trip. They helped me find this and gave it too me at the online price listed. So far it’s what we were looking for. Has battery back up and that’s a plus for using medical equipment. Thanks Best Buy.

I bought 3 of these to manage p/s to my home network, entertainment/communication/security systems. Only needed a buffer to cover the 10 second delay when my generator kicks in when the grid goes down. Never had any issue with APC products of which I've owned many different products they sell over many years.

I have bought APC products for years now, in particular the battery back-up systems and they hold their value. Great for Florida where the power goes out a lot and keeps my tv and large devices on and uninterrupted.

I wait until on sale and snatch them up. I use one for each of my AV systems, plus for my cable power adapter (it goes and the office internet goes). I have two bigger 1500 v units for my two main pcs.

We bought this mainly to have battery back up for our router and cell signal booster so that when the power goes out we can still use our phones. Seems to do the job. Lasts 2-3 hours.

I've got my network stuff (modem, router, switch) connected to it and it's doing what it's supposed to. I don't know if I'd hook up a full blown power hungry computer to it but that's not it's real purpose. So - no complaints here.

I keep these on hand and have them on all my expensive items in my house to keep my things safer. This was an extra to have on hand if something happened to one of my others. Would not be with out it.

After installing an APC Backup 650VA, I also replaced a larger APC UPS with this slimmer UPS for my desktop repair table. I love this smaller sized UPS Backup - I will never go back to the full-sized models as I like to keep everything on top of the table.

Why risk damaging your expensive tech equipment. With all the electrical grid issues in CA, only makes sense to protect your investment. 5 ports make it very convenient.

Purchased to to as a daily battery backup for my router, cable modem and switch. Very easy to setup. I like the new more taller design, helps to fit if narrower spaces. Has enough battery to deal with short power outages and helps with brown outs and surges.

I bought this to back up my desktop computer at work because we have terrible power and it was constantly tripping off causing the computer to be off when i try to remote to it. The UPS has been great and the computer has not shut off once since installing.

I bought this for my wifes new gas range. We get a lot of brown-outs in our area and the last range got damaged during one of these. So, I purchased this battery backup to plug the range into do that it doesn't get affected by such things in the future.
