Good enough to ensure you can save your work. I had two lap tops plugged in. Unit started beeping after about 20 mins. Beeps every minute after that until the battery completely dies out at about 30 mins. Hover you can mute the beeps. I wouldn’t bank on this to be able to cover you on a power outage to keep your modem and router going for an extensive period of time. If you are looking to cover a desktop in case of power outage to ensure you can save what you are doing, this will suffice. Unit is a bit bulky. Yes it has surge protection and battery but standard surge protectors separate battery pack would take up less space. If this had a longer battery life, I wouldn’t care about the bulkiness, however longevity is under whelming.

Good inexpensive ups, as expected On sale, easy pickup

I have purchased two other of these APC units in the past and they do a marvelous job allowing you a good deal of time to finish and save your work in a blackout. I had one unit battery die on me after two years (battery life is not forever)and the Tech folks quickly issue me an RMA to get a,replacement unit. It arrived in two days and they pay for the returned defective unit. With a 3 year warranty on most of there UPS units you cant go wrong. Im going to Purchase another unit for my son's PC and monitor and printer. I highly recommend this unit.

This UPS replaced another APC UPS that had died after 6 years due to a battery failure. Best Buy had this one on sale for about the same price as a replacement battery. It seems to be working just fine.

This product works very well. I was surprised at the number of surges this unit has detected since I connected my computer to it. Had APC UPS for years, love the brand, trust the product. definitely worth the $$, especially with deal of the day price.

Gear power surge protector with battery. Still works perfectly 3 years later.

This battery has worked out great. We are using it with our modem, router and dvr.

Short story: buy the 650. It has a replaceable battery. This one doesn't. Long story:This will run for 2 years, then the battery will wear out. The light will alternate red and green and the beeping won't stop until you turn it off. You can't power your devices when the battery is dead, even if it's plugged in, so it's a paperweight. Then you will discover the problem. The device is not made to be user-serviceable. You can't replace the battery. You can't throw it away, because it's illegal to dispose of a lead-acid battery in the trash. Places that take lead-acid batteries won't take the whole thing. You have to take the battery out yourself. Hope you have the tools. Don't just throw it away. The lead really does get into the water table.

If I could give this a zero stars I would. It went into alarm mode and quite working completely 11 days after I got it. It likely was a very old unit in Best Buy's stock or just defective.

I've used APC back-ups for years and always been very satisfied. I'm sure this is a good product, too, but I was quite disappointed to discover that it does not have a user-replaceable battery like every other one I've ever owned. Looks like a throw-away in three to five years when the battery dies.

Works ok for if you've got the right use case that doesn't need much power.

I purchased this produce in November, but only recently have I experienced any power outages to see if it works. The first time, the unit did not back up the connected modem and router. I wasn't sure if I had connected something incorrectly, so I checked everything, and all seemed well. I just experienced another outage, but again, no backup. I've made sure that I connected the battery (Duh!), which I did. and made sure that the devices I want backed up are plugged in the correct outlets on the UPS. So, I'm reasonable sure the problem is not my fault. Obviously, though, if the unit doesn't back up my devices for even 10 seconds, that's not what I paid for. Right now, I'm extremely unhappy. Since there are so many good reviews, it may be that I just got a lemon, but still I can only review what I have and it doesn't do what it is supposed to do.

Bought this a few weeks ago, on sale for $40, to keep my cable box powered up during power fluctuations. THIS PIECE OF JUNK DOES NOT-NOT-NOT WORK. My lights flickered today. CLICK: cable box powers down. This thing can’t even keep the tiny electrical load of a 6-month old cable box running?!?! So the cable box tries to reboot, CLICK. Three more times the box can’t even fully reboot and the UPS fails to do it’s job. Also, the manual describes several scenarios of status light plus beep tone, but it DOES NOT DESCRIBE THE BLINK PATTERN I AM SEEING, NOR THE BEEP TONE!!!!! I am VERY frustrated and I will NEVER buy another APC product ever again. I am going to try CyberPower as I hear they are very good. NOTE: Earlier when I did a search for APC UPS half of the results on Google were for CyberPower products. Just now when i did a search for CyberPower UPS there were ZERO results for APC! I guess that should tell us all who NOT to use...

Cannot keep up even laser printer. Shuts down when printer is connected to battery powered outlet. No USB to connect to computer to shutdown computer when power is down. Very under powered and lowest entry battery backup. It will not keep your computer safe if power is down. Computer will be powered down unexpectedly, which might cause System disk failure.

Don't you love waking up in the middle of the night by an alarm that cannot be disabled? As if this thing is saying "Get up! Get up! APC needs more money!!" Another winning feature is the non-replaceable battery. Made a switch to CyberPower and never looked back.

There's something fishy with this UPS: Capacity- the most important spec of a UPS (or anything with a battery) is nowhere to be found. I guess it has very low capacity they don't want us to see. Pig in a poke...

worked great the first 6 months. about 1 year later the peoria IL area power is up and down like a yoyo. now the ups doesn't even last 2 minutes . the batteries are junk.
