    Granted they were purchased by Schnieder Electric a while back, I find APC to be the superior product. Yes it costs more, but at least APC makes it easy to replace the battery.

    I have two of them, one to keep the modem up and one to keep the monitor attached to my laptop up, in case of power loss. I have tested it and it works, however not for any length of time. Hope for the best.

    Have been using APC products since they came out, lately the lower price units have a battery that is non user replaceable, this one does have a user replaceable battery.

    Low priced but reliable APC UPS, has enough capacity to power my router, broadband modem and home NAS for several minutes after an outage and also provide surge suppression. The batteries are not replaceable but at this price point it's really a consumable product with about 3 years of life.
