Customers are delighted by the Back-UPS Pro's long battery life, ease of use, and strong performance. Many appreciate the clear LCD screen and the ample number of outlets, along with the inclusion of USB Type-C and Type-A ports. However, some users noted the unit's weight and reported minor issues with the software and occasional noise. The warranty process also received mixed feedback.

This was a nice upgrade for me, and provides 60+ minutes of power for minimal devices (desktop, monitor, printer). It was easy to set up, and has a nice display on the front. We haven't lost power - nor have I unplugged it - so hopefully it will perform as expected.

I have UPS for all my computers, and have used APC over the years. Although power interruptions don't happen often, they are a pain when they do. This unit offers the protection that I want. It comes with PowerChute software which provides for an orderly shutdown of your equipment if you're not around when the power failure occurs. It's a good package that meets my needs.

I need something that could protected a system that is considerably more than your basic home PC. It is not only the desktop tower, but 3 large monitors, and a professional but small sound system of mixer, external processors, and a Focusrite 18i8. For that equipment, I need power conditioning as well as UPS support.
This unit does the job nicely. It integrates well with Windows 10, as well. It's had several triggers in this rainy, stormy summer, and while most have only been a few seconds, once lasted I think close to 20 minutes. Since this UPS gives over 35 minutes of support, it still wasn't enough to trigger the automatic shutdown. I had chickened out and was going to shut down manually and just before I could, power came back.
To get greater protection, you are going to have to invest in something that will be far more expensive and unless you're extremely high-end, will likely be significant overkill. Just be warned. 1500 Volt-Amperes means this thing is heavy. It clocks in at over 25 lbs, unboxed, so it's quite a bit heavier than those little unites that most people get.
I've been completely happy with this purchase.

Easy setup, nice number of plugs. Tested by pulling the plug and none of my homelab equipment had any issues. I don't use the more advanced features in my setup, so can't speak to those, but if you want a reliable battery back-up, APC continues to produce quality products.

Excellent Backup Power Supply

Excellent backup power supply. Bought it to backup my modem and router into in the event of a power outage. I haven't been put in a situation to actually need it yet, but according to the display, it'll last about 3 hours with both modem and router plugged in. I have tested it by unplugging it and it works just as advertised.

I own several APC UPS boxes and this one is the best one yet. None of them have failed me yet, unlike my old one made byCyberPower, which this one replaces.
I cannot say how good it will be long term, since I have only used it for a few weeks, but so far it is working as well as any of my other APC branded UPS. So I have high hopes that this one will be just as good.

APC is one of the top UPS vendors but this thing is awesome. Plenty of pdu, easy to read on device stats, and the software that can be installed on pc/server to give you real-time stats is awesome! Two physical servers, Router, POE switch, NAS. Powers out. I have almost 30 minutes to gracefully shut down. I’ll be skipping other vendors going forward!

Great backup unit. Displays a count for the number of potential interruptions/spikes/etc. Virtually plug and play. I could have gone with a smaller unit because I've only hooked up my computer system (2 large screens, tower, printer) however, it's nice to have extra capacity should I need it. I bought this shortly after buying an entire new computer system and it has worked flawlessly to this point (haven't had long, but no problems). It's a mental boost for me because I'm not worried at all about losing equipment to a lightning/power surge. Well worth the money.

Great so far! Love the fact that this UPS has dual batteries and that the screen gives you important information like remaining runtime and load capacity (it also has a mute button!)
Very easy to use and install the batteries as well, the only minor issue is their software, the old version looks very dated and the new one only runs in the browser.

Desperately needed more UPS power for my network, NAS and a few other smaller devices and picked up this amazing deal. It's been phenomenal for me, plus some additional piece of mind in case we lose power this winter and need to charge other devices. Could not recommend it enough.

I must like it since I have kept it. Only a couple small negatives with the instructions that made parts of the install some what confusing. Be nice to have a better overview and not use more then one word for things.
Set up was quick and easy.
It is heavy so think about that when selecting a place for it to be placed.
It would be very helpful if the places to plug into it have a different color so when you are plugging on a new item you can see where to. The total blackout makes it a challenge. So yes if white was used to outline the place where the plug go.
No issues yet other then registering the website I believe was all jacked up.
I do like being able to see the voltage readout
I like it well enough like I said that I’m keeping it.

Very easy to setup just be sure to plug battery in like the stickers say. Don't worry about a few beeps as the battery has to charge a little before warning beeps go off but that just takes a couple minutes.

Tired of power outages

After the third flash (off & back on) power outage of the afternoon, I'd had enough. I checked online and the APC - Back-UPS Pro had good ratings. A quick trip to Best Buy snagged me the last one in stock. I took it home and setup was a snap. I connected my TV, sound bar, cable box, and PlayStation to it. I've had a few flash outages since my purchase and everything has stayed on. I've been so pleased with my purchase that two days later I bought a second unit (from a different Best Buy) for our other TV.

I have been using Back-UPS Pros for many years. They are easy to set up and manage. This unit has plenty of outlets: 6 with surge & backup power and 4 additional surge protected outlets (all 3-prong). It also as USB ports, although I don't use them.
The following are basic limitations of this type of device to keep in mind but are not a product flaw. (1) They are heavy; hence, lift carefully and plan to sit them on the floor. (2) The batteries last years but eventually need to be replaced. However, because all surge protectors (built in to this device) tend to degrade over time (especially if you frequently get power "jolts" and blackouts), I sleep better by simply replacing the entire unit when the battery needs replacing. (This one that I just bought replaces a unit that lasted over 15 years.)

I got this item because of increasingly unreliable electric service: brownouts, surges, short outages. I had already protected my cable and wireless modems and happy with that service. I wanted this to protect cable tv box, apple tv, and main 55inch tv. I realize it's not intended for long outages, but this is enough to handle short outages. I've already had one incident and the device worked well. Best Buy had a fair price, it was delivered to my home quickly, the device was easy to set up, and it is unobtrusive.

Provides battery backup in power outages

The area i'm living in is having alot of planned maintenance outages from SoCal Edison, so I invested in this UPS.
I'm powering: A cable modem, an Asus WiFi router, two desktops and two monitor. At about 300W idle load the UPS shows I have approximately 30 mins of battery run time. This is perfect as it is enough time to shutdown the computers safely and still power my modem and router.
I bought this mainly to keep my modem and router online. They both take an long time to re-establish a connection if power is lost.
The only downside and why I gave this four stars instead of five is due to a slight annoyance when running on battery power: The UPS makes a slight humming/buzzing sound this is slightly audible in a quiet room. This only happens on battery power and isn't heard when AC power is present.
I'm not sure if all units have this, but my unit had a QC receipt with all the tests it passed when it was assembled and tested.

Almost 5 years later and still going strong. I have had a few power outages where this system has had to kick in and I was able to do the work needed to be done. Plenty of outlets for what I needed for it. Spacing is fairly well for oddly shaped plugs. Would buy again.

Since buying this I’ve gone through 5-6 power outages/spikes in the last year alone smh. I live in a place where power goes out almost every time it rains heavy. So being able to maintain power and even internet for 4-5 hours with light usage & even charge all my devices phone’s laptops usb flashlights etc is AMAZING life saver. My devices are protected now cause I hate not knowing if my devices will still work correctly once the power returns I can just safely turn off like normal. Much much better than a regular power strip with a surge protector glad I spent the money this makes me want to buy a even more expensive one haha. Only thing I found odd is you have to open it up & connect the positive terminal which is strange to me the negative terminal is always connected. If you don’t do this your battery obviously won’t work you’ll just have a $200 power strip. You’ll see what I mean when you open it, so just like connecting the positive terminal on a car while having the negative connected it sparked at me & gave a loud pop. Kinda scared me but I guess that’s just how they designed it….been working great since. They should’ve had you connect the negative terminal i fee like, not a major deal it works so just don’t worry about it if it sparks/pops at you

I have been running APC products for years, and currently have three in use now; two rated at 1500VA and a smaller one that I use as both a backup and surge suppresser. When the small one inevitably dies, I'll replace it with a unit like this.
This is my third APC unit of this size. I've had several smaller ones, but they seem to die after a couple of years. The larger units run well, and have the added advantage of having a replaceable battery, since that seems to be the most common point of failure as they age. Replacing the battery is much cheaper than buying another complete unit.
I use to think to buy just enough VA to support my current equipment demand, but I've learned that loading a back-up supply beyond 80% capacity seems to shorten its life.
