Customers are delighted by the Back-UPS Pro's long battery life, ease of use, and strong performance. Many appreciate the clear LCD screen and the ample number of outlets, along with the inclusion of USB Type-C and Type-A ports. However, some users noted the unit's weight and reported minor issues with the software and occasional noise. The warranty process also received mixed feedback.

Tired of power outages

After the third flash (off & back on) power outage of the afternoon, I'd had enough. I checked online and the APC - Back-UPS Pro had good ratings. A quick trip to Best Buy snagged me the last one in stock. I took it home and setup was a snap. I connected my TV, sound bar, cable box, and PlayStation to it. I've had a few flash outages since my purchase and everything has stayed on. I've been so pleased with my purchase that two days later I bought a second unit (from a different Best Buy) for our other TV.

Provides battery backup in power outages

The area i'm living in is having alot of planned maintenance outages from SoCal Edison, so I invested in this UPS.
I'm powering: A cable modem, an Asus WiFi router, two desktops and two monitor. At about 300W idle load the UPS shows I have approximately 30 mins of battery run time. This is perfect as it is enough time to shutdown the computers safely and still power my modem and router.
I bought this mainly to keep my modem and router online. They both take an long time to re-establish a connection if power is lost.
The only downside and why I gave this four stars instead of five is due to a slight annoyance when running on battery power: The UPS makes a slight humming/buzzing sound this is slightly audible in a quiet room. This only happens on battery power and isn't heard when AC power is present.
I'm not sure if all units have this, but my unit had a QC receipt with all the tests it passed when it was assembled and tested.

Expanded needs for new back-up system

This replaces an older APC Back-UPS system, the 1000, that had been in use for five years. Now have both PC and Apple systems, multiple monitors, printers and other accessories. Because of the the consistency and high quality of the APC and the expanded backup outlets of the Back-UPS Pro 1500VA, moving to this new system was a no-brainer.

If you're someone who runs a home or office network, you know how frustrating power outages can be. But after experiencing over 18 quick outages in the past year, I can confidently say that my APC UPS has been a lifesaver.
This UPS is incredibly easy to set up and use, and it provides an estimated back up time of 90 minutes, which is more than enough to keep my network running during short power outages. It has also saved my equipment from potential damage caused by power surges and spikes.
But what impresses me most about this APC UPS is its reliability. Even during extended outages, it has kept my network up and running without any interruptions. And because it's designed to shut down my equipment in a safe and controlled manner, I don't have to worry about any data loss or corruption.
Overall, I highly recommend this APC UPS to anyone who needs reliable and consistent power protection for their network. It's easy to use, provides ample back up time, and has saved my equipment from potential damage on numerous occasions.

Great apc for gaming PC's

Got this for my gaming PC and it works great during power outages and power fluctuations, holds up quite well even with my 7950x and rtx 4090 equipped rig .. at first I was wondering if it would keep up when the power went out but yea it does quite a nice job and don't miss a beat.. at idle I get about 20 minutes of battery time and gaming about 5 minutes which is long enough to exit and shut down properly.. there is also apc software you can download to auto shut down the PC when it gets to a certain battery level or after so many minutes on battery which is a nice feature... I see it as cheap insurance for surges and outages especially when you spend several thousand dollars on a nice rig , highly recommend this unit for sure

This APC unit is easy to set and use. APC provides a dual layer of protection against power outages, with surge protection on every outlet and battery backup for select outlets you can organize your cords such that it protects your computer. With the router & modem connected to the battery backup, we still can access the internet during power outages. This product is built to last.

Excellent UPS to protect your devices.
The screen shows you the VA entrance, Watts consume, the current load, the time remaining according the current load of devices plugged.
I have connected 3 devices only:
- 1 Asus Monitor gamer 24"
- PC gaming (i7 9gen, 2060, 32ram, leds in case, in keyborad, in mouse, etc)
- PS5
When power went out:
- It gives me around 75-82 minutes with monitor and PC (using for basic things, web, office, etc)
- Around 50 minutes with monitor and PC (doing 3d models in Maya)
- Around 20-25 minutes with monitor and PC (when gaming)
- Like 15-20 minutes to shut down everything if I'm using the 3 devices at the same time (doing basic things in PC, and gaming in PS5)
I have other APC, but it is the 900VA capacity, and it is enough for a PC (like mine) and monitor, it gives your around 12-35 minutes depending what are you doing.

I have been using APC Back-UPS's for more than a decade and have always been very satisfied. I recently bought two of the BN-1500 10-outlet models to support more electronic equipment in my house. I now have all my electronics connected to APC UPS's including computer, printer, DVD burner, computer speakers, game console, DVD player, ham radio equipment, TV's, modem/router, plus other musical and electronic equipment. We get a lot of quick power interruptions here in Florida and these UPC's have never failed me. They also keep the current at the optimum 120 volts. With 6 surge/battery backup outlets and 4 surge outlets in each unit, you have enough to connect all your electronics or non-electronic devices. I have always gotten more than 5 years battery life from all my APC UPS's and it's very easy to replace the battery if ever needed for another 5 plus years of usage.

This equipment has already kicked in once for a short flicker in our electric grid and has worked for a few small spikes here in Florida. Plenty of protected outlets and easy to set up and use -- replaced a 10 year old battery backup wen crazy - and we use APC on larger scale in our offices - read the reviews and bought the unit - very happy

I got this to protect my NAS and so far it has worked great. The NAS has alerted me to power failures but was not affected due to the APC UPS. I like that I can glance quickly at the display and know that the unit is operating correctly. It was very easy to connect to my Synology NAS and the Synology software recognized the UPS without any issues.

APC is a pretty well-known name in the commercial and enterprise UPS/Battery Back-Up market, so I figured they were worth a try for my home setup. I had picked this model out after looking at a couple of places online to get an idea of how big a UPS I would need (this may be a little overkill for me but I figure better to have a little more than required rather than a little less).
I watched prices on Amazon and at BestBuy for awhile and was able to get this one from BestBuy when it was less than what Amazon had it for. Ordered it at lunch and was able to pick it up curbside on my home from work. Setup was very easy, I also registered the product with APC to be covered by the warranty and equipment protection coverage if any of my equipment is damaged. I also downloaded the optional PowerChute software for a few extra management options.
We have not had any storms or power outages yet but I did test this thing after hooking everything up by unplugging it from the wall. Everything stayed on, there was no sign that it had switched from utility power to battery except for the screen on the front and the beep, I was pretty impressed. The unit will beep periodically while it is on battery power but if this bothers you there is a button on the front to silence the beeping.
I had seen some reviews of this model where people complained that it was noisy. This one is whisper-quiet it does not make a peep. I'm guessing that if it took a couple of heavy surges it might develop a hum in the fan or something like that over a long time but so far this one is super quiet.
As for how long the battery lasts, my setup is a desktop computer, cable modem, router, two large monitors, and a sound system; when I unplugged it from power it showed right at around an hour of battery time available with everything turned on. Just for fun I shut the computer down and just plugged my phone into it on one of the usb ports on the front of the UPS and it moved to nearly 3 hours of battery time. So not only will this guy protect your electronics from power surges, keep them powered on when the power goes out so that you can save your work and shut down gracefully, you can also charge your phone if the power is out. This thing is great, we are incredibly happy with it right now. If we are as happy with it after some storms/power outages we will probably buy another one for our living room TV/Xbox setup as well.

Setting the unit up took only a few minutes. There are enough backed up ports to protect was should not go down during an outage (network drives, router, modem, PC). The outlets have surge protection. During the last couple of weeks we had a number of power outages but the system kept all critical devices up.
