I got this to prevent power surge damage in case there ever was one my buddy had one and it works amazing though I haven’t had a power outage or surge yet I trust it completely it looks very nice and fits snuggly on the side of my desk making my setup look that much more techy although a little pricey.

If you're someone who runs a home or office network, you know how frustrating power outages can be. But after experiencing over 18 quick outages in the past year, I can confidently say that my APC UPS has been a lifesaver. This UPS is incredibly easy to set up and use, and it provides an estimated back up time of 90 minutes, which is more than enough to keep my network running during short power outages. It has also saved my equipment from potential damage caused by power surges and spikes. But what impresses me most about this APC UPS is its reliability. Even during extended outages, it has kept my network up and running without any interruptions. And because it's designed to shut down my equipment in a safe and controlled manner, I don't have to worry about any data loss or corruption. Overall, I highly recommend this APC UPS to anyone who needs reliable and consistent power protection for their network. It's easy to use, provides ample back up time, and has saved my equipment from potential damage on numerous occasions.

    A Must for Remote Workers

I work remotely (40 mins from office) and, while the office has a generator backup and a UPS for the server, there weren't UPS for any of the work stations. I chose this because, while it's overkill for one work station, as the battery ages, it'll still be dependable. Easy to setup. Dead silent. Totally reliable.

I recently upgraded to the APC Back-UPS Pro 1500VA, and it’s easily one of the best UPS units I’ve owned. Setup was quick, the build feels solid, and the LCD screen makes it simple to monitor load, runtime, and battery health at a glance. With 10 outlets (six battery + four surge), it handles my full workstation, networking gear, and peripherals with room to spare. The addition of USB-C and USB-A ports is a nice touch for keeping devices charged without tying up outlets. Performance has been flawless—during a short outage it kicked in instantly and kept everything running smoothly. The unit is quiet, efficient, and gives me real peace of mind knowing my equipment is protected. If you need a dependable, feature-rich UPS for home or office, this model is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

So far, the unit is working perfectly!! Robust and quick to respond...compact (vs. similar models), easy to use, and comes with great reviews! I'm unsure of the replacement battery costs (long-term review), but it's a great option to consider... Just my opinion.

I really want to complain about something, but this APC is 10 of 10. Pretty quite "buzz" noise when it works from battery(it also beeps and u can mute it) Bought second one for my bro PC. 3+ years it works great, sometimes have power problems and it handles great no matter what I'm doing, gives plenty of time (30min +/-) depending on load/system what u have. Had coke spilled on it, it still worked for rest of 5 min before I turned it off with rest of PC, easy to clean... it took some time, tutorial videos on YouTube, maybe got lucky, year past incident and it just works no issues. Also you can setup Power consumption via HWinfo(Riva Tuner) while u playing games.

    Great apc for gaming PC's

Got this for my gaming PC and it works great during power outages and power fluctuations, holds up quite well even with my 7950x and rtx 4090 equipped rig .. at first I was wondering if it would keep up when the power went out but yea it does quite a nice job and don't miss a beat.. at idle I get about 20 minutes of battery time and gaming about 5 minutes which is long enough to exit and shut down properly.. there is also apc software you can download to auto shut down the PC when it gets to a certain battery level or after so many minutes on battery which is a nice feature... I see it as cheap insurance for surges and outages especially when you spend several thousand dollars on a nice rig , highly recommend this unit for sure

This APC unit is easy to set and use. APC provides a dual layer of protection against power outages, with surge protection on every outlet and battery backup for select outlets you can organize your cords such that it protects your computer. With the router & modem connected to the battery backup, we still can access the internet during power outages. This product is built to last.

I bought this UPS to replace an older, much larger and noisier one. I'm very happy with this purchase because the replacement was very simple and the equipment is well protected. I already had the opportunity to test it during a power outage. Good choice.

Excellent UPS to protect your devices. The screen shows you the VA entrance, Watts consume, the current load, the time remaining according the current load of devices plugged. I have connected 3 devices only: - 1 Asus Monitor gamer 24" - PC gaming (i7 9gen, 2060, 32ram, leds in case, in keyborad, in mouse, etc) - PS5 When power went out: - It gives me around 75-82 minutes with monitor and PC (using for basic things, web, office, etc) - Around 50 minutes with monitor and PC (doing 3d models in Maya) - Around 20-25 minutes with monitor and PC (when gaming) - Like 15-20 minutes to shut down everything if I'm using the 3 devices at the same time (doing basic things in PC, and gaming in PS5) I have other APC, but it is the 900VA capacity, and it is enough for a PC (like mine) and monitor, it gives your around 12-35 minutes depending what are you doing.

For the most part, this battery backup is exactly what it claims to be; a high-amperage battery backup that can run and protect a decent gaming rig and office setup for close to an hour during an outage or spike. However, I have two complaints about this device; one minor, and one major. The minor one I can forgive. The major one would be a dealbreaker had I known about it in advance. The minor one is the software. The APC PowerChute software is nearly identical to the way it was back in the early 2000s from my first device, and still just as poorly designed, limited, and unintuitive. Once I had the initial values set, I completely uninstalled it and am using the native Windows subsystem to control it. If you don't intend to change the default protection settings or are willing to do so from the onboard LCD screen, don't even bother installing the software; just let Windows do the work. The major flaw with this device is the Ethernet "protection". I'm not sure what malarkey happened in the design or build process, but on a known good CAT-6 Gigabit ethernet system, all traffic slowed to a crawl as collisions went through the roof. 1Gbps was still reporting, and DHCP still functioned, but the network instantly became nearly useless. I (as an IT pro) spent three days futzting with it before giving up and just not using Ethernet protection. Known good cables, clean ports, correct orientation, but just utterly useless. Didn't even bother trying to use the coax protection. It's not worth returning the device since I have my entire network isolated via a different (also APC) UPS making the passthrough in this somewhat redundant, but it's still frustrating that a normally reputable company would pass testing on a product with such issues; yeah it technically works, but so poorly that it's garbage. The ironic thing is there was a receipt-style printout taped to the device that shows, among other things, ethernet PASSED. Uh huh. Sure. In summary, if you don't need Ethernet protection, go for it; the rest of this product (minus the software) is rock-solid. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Listen, it's a great device until it's not. I get about 6-12 months out of each battery, and then I start getting the dreaded red ring of death and a horrible, loud ringing sound that doesn't stop. It doesn't help that this can suddenly occur while you're away, and god knows how long the device has been ringing for the neighbors (who might think to call the police bc it sounds like an emergency alarm). I file a claim with APC, and I get a new battery for free. Rinse and repeat. I probably won't buy a replacement battery after the warranty ends and they stop covering them. I just feel like I consistently get low-functioning batteries that last less than a year, when they're expected to be 3-5, and then have a scare when it decides to malfunction and scream. I feel like I'm maybe just uniquely unlucky here, considering the general take that this is a great device, but I can only go through this so many times before I feel like a fool. I'll probably shop around more for the replacement brand.

Nice, compact unit with good features and plenty of outlets of different types. The front USB port makes it convenient to charge portable devices during an outage. I like that the batteries are replaceable as they will inevitably lose their recharge capability after five years or so. Has a software app that allows it to instruct a connected desktop computer to save files and shut down upon loss of power. I don't have a desktop connected to mine so I have not tested that feature. I'm using mine to back up networking equipment.
