It's omnly been a few days but so far I love it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.APC is a pretty well-known name in the commercial and enterprise UPS/Battery Back-Up market, so I figured they were worth a try for my home setup. I had picked this model out after looking at a couple of places online to get an idea of how big a UPS I would need (this may be a little overkill for me but I figure better to have a little more than required rather than a little less). I watched prices on Amazon and at BestBuy for awhile and was able to get this one from BestBuy when it was less than what Amazon had it for. Ordered it at lunch and was able to pick it up curbside on my home from work. Setup was very easy, I also registered the product with APC to be covered by the warranty and equipment protection coverage if any of my equipment is damaged. I also downloaded the optional PowerChute software for a few extra management options. We have not had any storms or power outages yet but I did test this thing after hooking everything up by unplugging it from the wall. Everything stayed on, there was no sign that it had switched from utility power to battery except for the screen on the front and the beep, I was pretty impressed. The unit will beep periodically while it is on battery power but if this bothers you there is a button on the front to silence the beeping. I had seen some reviews of this model where people complained that it was noisy. This one is whisper-quiet it does not make a peep. I'm guessing that if it took a couple of heavy surges it might develop a hum in the fan or something like that over a long time but so far this one is super quiet. As for how long the battery lasts, my setup is a desktop computer, cable modem, router, two large monitors, and a sound system; when I unplugged it from power it showed right at around an hour of battery time available with everything turned on. Just for fun I shut the computer down and just plugged my phone into it on one of the usb ports on the front of the UPS and it moved to nearly 3 hours of battery time. So not only will this guy protect your electronics from power surges, keep them powered on when the power goes out so that you can save your work and shut down gracefully, you can also charge your phone if the power is out. This thing is great, we are incredibly happy with it right now. If we are as happy with it after some storms/power outages we will probably buy another one for our living room TV/Xbox setup as well.

Good Unit for Backing Up Critical Equipment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice, compact unit with good features and plenty of outlets of different types. The front USB port makes it convenient to charge portable devices during an outage. I like that the batteries are replaceable as they will inevitably lose their recharge capability after five years or so. Has a software app that allows it to instruct a connected desktop computer to save files and shut down upon loss of power. I don't have a desktop connected to mine so I have not tested that feature. I'm using mine to back up networking equipment.

Keeps the NAS going
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to protect my NAS and so far it has worked great. The NAS has alerted me to power failures but was not affected due to the APC UPS. I like that I can glance quickly at the display and know that the unit is operating correctly. It was very easy to connect to my Synology NAS and the Synology software recognized the UPS without any issues.

High Value Protection from Power Failures/Surges
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.APC has been protecting computers for years. Their UPS systems are reliable and easy to setup. I bought four of this model for a one bedroom apartment. They protect electronic gear during the frequent power outages. The large capacity keeps electronic equipment running longer. It also supports LED lighting. The UPS provides surge protected outlets. It can also protect your Ethernet and the line going to your cable modem (Spectrum etal). The USB ports can power a small light or fan. Prevent future agravation. Order an APC UPS and enjoy using some products while power is restored. And more important, shutdown computers without loosing data.

Can't go wrong with this one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this UPS so much I bought a second one. It works exactly as advertised, easy to set up and it's been running great. It saved me several times as we tend to get brief power outages here fairly often. I use it to keep my router and primary computer up and running and the second one is attached to a very expensive long arm quilting machine that my wife uses. This is power in the middle of a session it can create serious problems.

Best UPS for power & features at this price point!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this UPS, because it offered lots of power to run my devices for an extended period of time, coupled with the reliability of APC power protection devices (I had previously purchased an APC surge protector that I think is great). It also offers a lot of options for providing surge protection, plugging in devices with off-sized adapters, charging USB devices, and even for communicating with your computing devices so that they can monitor the state of your UPS and shutdown automatically before the battery in the UPS runs out. All of these features can be found in other models, from both APC and from other manufacturers, but this model seemed to offer the best combination of all of these features, which made my purchase decision easy.

One of the best Back Up UPS available
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple setup. You can put it to use within 3 minutes of taking it out of the box. It is a little heavy, but entirely worth it. The customer service behind them is also amazing. Since you get a warranty included with the product purchase, they are responsive and informative in case any damage occurs to your products plugged into the device.

NOT designed for CPAP Sleep Machine Backup
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NOT FOR CPAP Sleep Machine ResMed AirCurve 10 I have several smaller APC units backing up various devices in my home. They generally don't last longer than 30 minutes, but that is what they are designed for. Not doing any additional research, I figured that buying a more expensive APC would power my CPAP sleep machine (I have a ResMed Aircurve 10) for at least one night. I was wrong. I got just under an hour of power for my sleep machine (ResMed Aircurve 10) during the power outage on 07-08-2024. You can turn off the beeps on the machine, which is great, but the physical clicks are extremely loud, and they woke me up. As the power was cutting in and out - even when the lights stayed on - the APC was clicking on and off keeping the power continuous and clean. I think I am going to put a smaller APC on my sleep machine and/or find a battery backup designed for CPAP machines. Five stars because it is functioning as it should - just not for what I bought it for. It will ultimately move to my entertainment center to provide clean power/surge protection.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it to power our home entertainment center (TV, receiver, subwoofer, stream box, BD player) + a Wi-Fi node. Lately we had issues with our power during rainy or windy days and so I started looking for solutions. This is an excellent power supply: works as expected and absolutely no noise for my setup (power draw 170-350W). It helped identify a stand-up power draw from the receiver (if I had this 2 years ago it would have already paid off just from the power savings).

Great Run Time! Plenty of outlets
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great unit! One of the things I like best is the fact it has 10 outlets. 6 are Battery Backup and Surge, and 4 are Surge only. In addition 2 of the outlets are spaced apart enough to support power "bricks"/transformers. As far as runtime I have a Mac mini, Studio Display and chargers for my iPad and iPhone connected to it and with all plugged in at the same time it puts about a 6% load on the unit giving me between 97 and 100 minutes of runtime!
