Size matters
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works... kind of. I really should have paid more attention the the length because at a foot and a half it's difficult to connect one mac to another in target mode. Like everything else with an apple logo on it it's way overpriced. But if you need something now you buy what's in stock at local stores.

A bit stiff but works great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as an open box item, for better deal. It works flawlessly. One thing I don't like is it is a bit stiff, so if you put your thunderbolt device next to your mac, and you want to keep cables in good shape, then use something to tie and hold down. I deducted one star because a cable with this price tag, must be built with better material.

It's a Thunderbolt cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the summary says, it's a Thunderbolt cable. If you use or want to use Thunderbolt peripherals with older Macs/PCs you'll need this. There may be cheaper cables out there (but really not by much) but I choose the Apple branded because I feel they're more trustworthy. They always have been. Note this cable is only a foot and a half. I found this useful since the peripherals I'm using sit not that far away and cuts down on cable clutter. This cable is Thunderbolt 1 and 2 compatible, NOT Thunderbolt 3 (or USB-C). Connecting a Thunderbolt dock to an older MacBook will add USB 3 connectivity (and near USB 3 speeds). These docks cost more than newer Thunderbolt 3 offerings but it's a way to get more out of an aging Mac. These cables are perfect for such a set up. My advice is to consider a new MacBook but if you want to pay less now then this cable and older Thunderbolt peripherals will give more life to your Mac.

Worked as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Genuine Apple cable that I used to connect my iMac and Apple Mac Book Pro in target mode. I was having hard drive issues and needed to copy data. Worked great but cable could of been a little longer... that is why 4 stars

Exactly what it is, but pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a useful thunderbolt cable. Well enough made and it does what it should, which is to connect two Thunderbolt devices. Like all Apple cables, it is overpriced.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s an overly priced Apple cable and it does what it says it does so 4 stars because it’s good for what it is minus a star for high price..

Simple to use, a bit expensive for a simple cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple cable ideal for very fast transfer between macs or macs and hard drives. Good quality cable and simple to use, a bit expensive for a simple cable though.

Just what I needed.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect product, other than the cost. It seems to be more expensive than it needs to be, but does just what I need it to.

Expensive, but works as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cable was priceless and fast for transferring data from a nearly dead mac to another one. Expensive for a cable though...

Great cord
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this cord so that I could make my MacBook Pro a second screen for my iMac but I found out it doesn't work that way. You can only make the iMac a second screen for the MacBook. Other then that the quality of the cord it awesome and I can tell that it will last me for a long while.

Pricey but it works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little bit pricey for just a 6 inch cord. It works well with both macbook pro and my imac.

It works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What's to say? It works. It works fast. Wish it wasn't so expensive for such a short cable, but...

works as expected but man, what a pricey cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thunderbolt is the new thing so we've got to get with the program. These cables are awfully expensive though.

Short
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cable performs exactly as expected, and the usual high quality of genuine Apple products. The cable is shorter than you think! I thought I'd like to have less extra cable on my desk, but I can't even connect my iMac (port on the back right) to my MacBook (port on the left) unless they are sitting next to each other with the ports facing. Go with the longer cable, it's worth it.

Apple Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is Apple's branded Thunderbolt cable (6.6'). If you do the math, that is ~$8/linear foot. Which is what we all should come to expect from Apple. On the flip side of that coin is the quality products that Apple produces, and the excellent Quality Assurance. Oh, and yes, the cable functions as advertised. Not that there are many reasons to purchase one for the uses are limited.

High quality but expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Apple-manufactured cable is well constructed and functions to spec. But it's way overpriced given the materials ind processes involved (im and engineer that specializes in product tear down and cost analysis). I will never give any cable or accessory five stars unless it is also fairly priced.

Pricey, but works when the others don't
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cables in general are a rip-off as far as cost, this one is no different. I didn't want to deal with mail-order for these two. They work great, as the cables bundles with the Seagate Thunderbolt drives did not. As a FYI, the Thunderbolt cables that come with the Seagate drives will work as long as you only have one drive, but if you daisy chain them you're going to get an unreliable connection.
