    This thunderbolt cable does exactly what you think it should do. It connects a thunderbolt peripheral to the thunderbolt port on your mac. My only complaint about this cord is that I should have ordered the longer one. I plan on connecting a mac to a mac and the short cable just makes it difficult.

    I was in need of a Thunderbolt cable to connect an older Macbook Pro to an older Cinema Display. For a small investment of the cable, the laptop now has a nice big display. The short cable was sufficient for my needs. While I could probably get an off-brand for less money, I've had hit-or-miss luck with 3rd party Thunderbolt cables.
