You can unlock the home screen by actually using your unique fingerprint on the home button, or using the traditional passcode too. You can also create movie projects in the iMovie app, which is already bundled. The garage band app is also a very cool virtual music maker You can create and record your own music with a virtual keyboard and drums. The Pages app is a modern word processing application that will help you create and save literary works and term papers. Internet access is easy with a Wifi connection and using the Safari or Chrome browser, included on your iPad. The Apple News app is another great app to get your current events and latest news from various new sources, such as CNN and Buzzfeed, pooled together. There are many more apps that you can download as well. You can take high quality pictures with the built-in camera. There is a camera on both sides of the tablet and you can record in HDR mode. This iPad has plenty of space to download thousands of pictures and songs. The latest iPad is a great value. You might also get a year's worth of free Apple TV programming included, depending on when you purchased the iPad. Check the Best Buy website for details. So many apps and fun features are included on this iPad and you won't get bored easily. It's a good product at a very reasonable price.

Great Idea for those that have older relatives that you would like to see to take some of the sting out of not being able to meet face to face, given the current pandemic. Pre-program by setting up apps and adding phone numbers and contact information before handing the device over, just to make it easy to use.

Ipad for my Mother

We sent them both Ipads so they could facetime while he's in a nursing home (in lockdown due to the virus). Unfortunately she is in a different state so we couldn't help her setting the ipads up! They figured it out; and they were up and facetiming the same day! I always like to buy from Best Buy, Ipad arrived in just a few days!
