I'm a diehard Android user, but when it comes to tablets, the iPad has android tablets beat. Especially for the money, which is the primary reason I don't stick to Apple products... that, and the lack of customization on iOS. It is a slight drawback, but not enough to give this product a lower rating. The new iPad has plenty of power for "normal" usage (depending on your definition of normal). The processor is not the most powerful Apple has to offer, but its definitely enough to browse the web efficiently with multiple tabs open. It can also handle games such as Bloons TD 6, which hasn't lagged so far (past round 100). Its nice to see Apple push the RAM from 2gb (in the previous model) to 3gb. Given that its Apple, I have no doubt that the RAM will be plenty for the short future. My only regret is getting the 32gb model, and not the 128gb model. I feel like that's going to be a problem. Apple needs to bump up the base storage to 64gb or something (everyone else has). Luckily, I'm a bit of a claustrophobic, so I like keeping some free space. On to the display and sound... Man, the display is GOOD, especially for an IPS panel. FHD panel with a high peak brightness is all I could ask for from a tablet in this price range. The audio is a different story. Almost all the devices in 2020 have stereo sound... from smartphones to TVs to cars to whatever. And here comes the iPad, with only two bottom speakers. YUCK!!!! It's like one of my ear is defective!!! I don't even care that the sound quality is just amazing. Its just... its like putting on headphones with the left side not working. I would've honestly preferred decent sound with STEREO speakers. Thank goodness for the 3.5mm audio jack. Speaking of 3.5mm jacks... it's still there and it works just right!!! Yay!!! There's also a lightning port on the bottom, but I fear that the future is USB-C, especially with the European Union pushing Apple to adopt the USB-C standard. It also takes forever for the iPad to charge. I don't know if this is standard with all tablets now-a-days, but... yeah... it's slow. The built-in microphone performs up to expectations, so no worries there. The fingerprint reader is just an absolute pleasure to have, and its fast enough. Logging into banking apps and unlocking the iPad is super convenient. iOS, or rather, iPad OS needs no introduction. It's amazing how Apple can design such an efficient operating system which delivers superior performance, all the while needing less power and resources than its counterpart Android. But like I mentioned in the very beginning, it would be satisfying to see a higher level of customization (I believe iPad OS 14 is making big strides on that front). Another annoying thing about iPad OS is app formats. There are certain apps that have been designed for iPhones, which is why those apps are being displayed in some sort of iPhone preview mode. I wish more developers worked on iPad friendly apps like Robinhood (since stock trading would be so much better on larger screens). I believe this iPad deserves a nice 4/5. It's a great budget tablet. But there are certain things I wish Apple had done better such as the implementation of stereo sound and higher base storage, like its android counterparts. Nevertheless, its still a solid budget icon in the modern world that has yet to be beaten. Thanks for reading... PS: A word of advice: I'd avoid apple original accessories. Their price tags are not really justifiable (if you're in the budget category).

With tech being such a large part of school and learning this is perfect. I like the larger screen and i bought an otterbox cover to protect it. I had my previous iPad for more than a few years. It was useful for my needs. When it got cracked and died I was without one for a while and had decided I could live without it. The COVID lockdown changed my mind and I got this new one. All I can day is WOW!! I absolutely love it and now I dont rhink I can ever live without one again!
