There are plenty of note apps to use, but a bit hard to navigate for people new to ipados.

The 11 year old likes to draw so he is using it for that and the 16 year old is using it for social interaction with his friends. They both had asked for the ipad for Christmas but didn’t reall think they would get one but grandma (me) decided she would step in and buy them, they were so happy and surprised.
