This iPad model works well with Procreate and the Apple Pencil (1st Gen). If you are looking for an iPad with greater processing power and better graphics for your animation/drawing you will want to purchase the iPad Pro as this model is somewhat limited with it's functions and the newer Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) is not compatible. The Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) does not require as much charging as the 1st Gen.

This is my first iPad. I like it a lot I’ve owned 2 Amazon fire tablets, they were fine, but I wanted an upgrade. Would definitely recommend the iPad. Though It is pricey!

Use it for both work and entertainment and love how smooth the interface is. I would not recommend upgrading to iPad OS 16 if you are into reading ebooks on the Books app as they have totally made unnecessary changes to an otherwise flawless application. Great for notes taking, photos, video editing. Love the iPad!
