Not much that need to say about Ipads, its always great! Nice size, easy to use. I bought it mostly to watch movies while i travel. But there is so much more that can be done with it. The best of it is the battery life.

Don't let it being the base model fool you. This iPad really packs a punch. The battery is great, the signal with AT&T especially if you have one of the elusive unlimited iPad plans is strong and always fast, and it's a dependable media consumption device. You won't regret getting it. Just buy it, I promise you'll love it. Especially because it has a headphone jack for those long car trips, and nice bezels to hold when using the device.

Have over 8 iPads. Also 4 android tablet. iPads while extremely functional don’t offer GPS. MANY times while traveling even with GPS in a car need to quickly check location locale plus need to have someone else do it. The cellular iPad is a huge iPhone I can just hand off to someone to check something for me and don’t have to instruct them in the ways of Android. So the extra $$$ to add cellular and GPS offsets the “I don’t know know how to use this”.

My daughter was previously using the iPad mini which was great for her size, but I was always concerned about the price should she break it. I also realized the value and importance of her having the ability to access videos and shows while traveling, which is why I would highly recommend the cellular version as well for these scenarios. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her iPad when she’s allowed to use it and I feel it’s more robust to withstand her potential abuse.
