This iPad is perfect for a student pilot. It's extremely fast, light, and the perfect size. It's big enough to use efficiently, while it's not oversized that it becomes bulky and inconvenient to hold. I was most excited about the true tone feature which adapts the display to show accurate colors based on ambient lighting conditions. They took adaptive brightness to a whole new level. I've always felt Apple was the leader in displays and they have yet to disappoint. The iPad feels very lightweight yet it is a solid well-built product. The price is fair for a product that should last me for several years.

I spend a lot of time on my iPad/iPhone. I had an iPad Air 2 that I loved! Then I “upgraded” to the iPad 6. The screen was so bad, it was giving me headaches. It caught bad glare especially with an OtterBox defender cover, and it was heavy and thick. Battery life was also so-so. I quickly realized that this was bargain bin Ipad, and you get what you pay for. Thankfully, I was able to unload the iPad 6 on swappa and pickup an Air 3. I couldn’t be more pleased. The Air 3 screen is laminated w/tru tone and is a night and day difference from the iPad 6th gen. The battery life is great and it noticeably thinner and lighter. I am also glad to have a lightning cable, and physical home button. It offers continuity with my iPhone 8 (which I’m keeping as long as it takes updates).

    Excellent Tablet

I was debating myself between getting the Ipad Air 3 or the Ipad Pro 11 inch. I came to the store to played both devices. After a few hours, I eventually ended up with the Ipad Air 3 because I believed that served me well will all my needs. My main purpose was using the tablet for studying like reading ebooks, PDFs files, and sometimes doing mainstream. I used this Ipad mainly for studying LSAT while I was at the workplace. I hadn't tried to play games on it, but I firmly could say this device was overkill for all demand games. The Ipad pro 11 inch was so powerful, though it was unnecessary to need such a powerful device for basic purpose. If you have a flexible budget, don't mind to spend more, Ipad Pro 11 inch is for you. Otherwise, get the IPAD AIRE 3. And again, I believe that I've made a very fortunate investment of this purchase. Very pleased. Highly Recommend to anyone!

This replaces an android tablet so there’s a learning curve for me. I’m not very computer savvy but have been able to navigate around with ver little problem. It’s fast and the HD pictures are amazing! We’ve been watching old tv shows on it and we really love the clarity. Also the sound is clear and I don’t have to augment it with a puck speaker like I did the other tablet. The battery is long lasting. I just love it! My only “complaint” is the size of the plug that I have to put in and pull out. I’m older with arthritic fingers and it’s hard to do especially pulling out.

I was in the doctor's office one day and they had me sign in with a tablet. I ended up liking the tablet so much I asked which one it was. Lo and behold it was an iPad Air (older model). I was shocked because I'm not usually a fan of Apple products. Now all of a sudden I needed this in my life! I went straight to Best Buy and bought the newest generation and I'm in love. It's very user friendly and everything loads effortlessly. The picture quality while watching shows or movies is fantastic! The battery life is awesome. I've only had to charge it twice since purchasing it. It's all and all a great buy for the price. I am very happy with my purchase.

Background pic is great! It made me want to buy it over iPad or pro. But once I bought it I realized its a great addition to Apple consumer products. Form factor, design, screen quality and sound are so good - I want to keep it with me. Most of my files are at G Drive and Drop Box - so 64 GB flash drive is plenty, processor is fast. I wish they would come with a detachable keyboard / Cover /stylus - and Apple would not be double dipping. Overall a great product. I would recommend it.

I recently purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 & I think it's the best Apple purchase I’ve made to date. But it is a beast to carry around, so it stay’s at home. I also just upgraded my iPhone to the XSMAXX , but I wanted something in between for e-mails & media consumption that was small enough to carry with me. So here comes the new IPad Air 3...perfect size & just enough performance to meet my needs. I think Apple got this one just right. Great price range for this all around iPad. The Sweet Spot

90% of the Pro’s features for $$$ less

I returned my 11” iPad Pro 2018 and got this instead. It has 90% of the pro’s features for a lot less money - it’s perfect for when you want an iPad for regular non-work use. Plus it was on sale! The A12X on the latest generation iPad Pro goes mostly unused unless you’re editing 4K video or performing similar CPU intensive tasks. The A12 in this (same processor as the iPhone XS) is just as fast and responsive for everyday tasks. The A12 has the neural engine which allows for machine learning tasks in device, which makes the iPad Air 3 a safer long term bet In terms of software than the 2nd gen iPad Pro 10.5 with the A10X. But the 2nd gen Pro has a pro-motion screen and a better camera and speakers. The screen on the Air looks really great as well (laminated and true Tone, which makes it much superior to the regular 10.2” iPad), but lacks pro-motion. Go for whichever feature you prefer, they’re more or less the same price. However, while the camera and speakers on this iPad Air aren’t as nice as the 3rd gen iPad Pro, and faceID is a little more convenient than TouchID, those are small trade offs in my opinion given that this device is almost half the price of the latest generation iPad pro.

The go to iPad for new iPad users

This iPad is great. It’s fast, clean, and extremely portable. The screen looks very clean and has a nice glass touch to it. If you are an entry level iPad user, I would recommend this iPad. The price is middle ground, and you would not be disappointed with the image quality that this iPad provides. When compared to the standard $300 iPad, the screen makes all of the difference. This iPad Air has a much better screen and the processor inside of the iPad itself is much faster and can handle much more tasks through the iPad OS. Multitasking is a breeze and it can really be helpful when note taking, light photo editing, and video editing through apps like iMovie. Overall, it is the best the iPad you can buy if you ar enormous willing to spend pro iPad money, but want similar and comparable performance.

Full disclosure...I am an apple user across the board (iPad, MacBook, iPhone, and iPod). I was actually looking for a birthday gift for my fiancé and wanted to get him a tablet as he was using my old 2013 iPad. He clearly stated he didn’t want an iPad as he is not an apple user but once I saw the new iPad I just had to upgrade my iPad Air 2 after seeing I could use the Apple Pencil. So I traded in my air 2 at Best Buy and got the new one. I absolutely love it. I love the ability to use the pencil for note taking since I take lots of notes and have lots of paper laying around. This new iPad is super fast and I love some of the new features that my old air didn’t have. All in all I wasn’t shopping for myself but I am sure glad I came across this upgrade. An iPad is a must have for convenience. I got the WiFi only version because I use WiFi at work and home so no need for an extra monthly cost plus my Verizon plan has hotspot if I ever need to hook up to the internet really quick. I think this is a good mid range option as the pro is just not affordable and I feel like I might as well buy a MacBook for that price. You won’t regret this purchase,

I bought this as a gift for someone, but I went back and forth deciding between the standard 10.2" iPad, iPad Mini 5, or this iPad Air 3. This thing is lightweight despite the larger size and boasts a larger, more usable, higher quality laminated screen. On top of that, you get mostly modern internal specs with that A12 processor (same as that in the XS/XR family of iPhones). This thing can be pricey for what it is, so definitely get it at a discount if possible.

My computer hard drive crashed after only 2 years. Instead of a repair I decided to try my first Apple product. I love my iPad! I love the portability of it, the fast processing, ease of use plus the size of my 10.5 inch screen. As an “old dog” that has always worked on computers, I just had to learn a few “new tricks”! The on-screen tips have helped plus I have 2 friends that have Apple products and are willing to help. Finally the battery lasts all day + some.
