The IPad Pro 10.5 is a better size than the bigger IPad Pro 12.9 but I am undecided about whether it was a good idea to purchase it. I love the look of the big screen but I will say I tend to use my IPad mini more often because it’s easier to hold. I like the fact that the Pro was an upgrade in screen display, camera, and memory space yet I still use my mini more. The idea that you can use the Apple Pencil for drawing and taking notes is pretty great but I rarely use it. Overall, I think it is a great device but I recommend that if you are planning to buy one, think carefully about the ways you will use it and if size is important to you.

This iPad replaced one that I had for at least 3 or 4 years. There was nothing wrong with the previous one, but the features of the new one where convincing enough to make me upgrade. I now have all the bells and whistles Apple has placed in the new generation: fingerprint sign in, voice to text, better Seri, stylus compatible, great graphics, larger and the list goes on. On top of that I got a reasonable trade in offer from Best Buy to apply to the purchase of the new iPad. My favorite feature is the size. I considered the larger version but felt that one would be unwieldy and would require two hands to hold for reading. The purchased one is the perfect size for my needs: reading, watching videos, and searching the internet.

    Converted to iPad Pro 10.5

This is the first apple product I’ve ever owned and I must admit I think it’s the best tablet on the market today. I’ve owned android tablets in the pass but because they only give you 1 maybe 2 android updates after you purchase a device I decided to switch to the iPad Pro 10.5. The tablet is amazing it like having a tablet/computer all in one minus the mouse. I purchased a 3rd party keyboard and now am enjoying the tablet even more. It is lighting fast and learning how to operate the device was very easy. I know this is an expensive purchase but I feel I got a device that will last for at least 5 years are more because Apple pushes every update to all their devices unlike android. Note I’m still rocking my android phone. :)

The 10.5” iPad Pro was the best iPad ever at the time of its release. I’ve had it for over a year and I still love it. The screen is goregous and just the right size for reading, watching video, emailing, and light work (MS Word, GoogleDocs, simple presentations, etc.) . I find I take it on most trips now and leave my MacBook Pro behind. The newer 11” and 12.9” Pros released in 2018 look great but are missing the headphone jack and the home button, which I think are still very useful on a tablet. I’ve learned to live without them on the iPhone XR but can’t imagine needing to constantly open the iPad with Face ID and have to relearn the multitasking without the home button.

This is a good tablet. Apple has improved its system and it works faster than the original iPad Pro, but in my opinion the improvements are not worth the upgrade if you already have the ipad pro 9.7. The improvements arn't so noticable. I actually went from the 12.9 to the 10.5 and the improvements stand out more. For one it is lighter and easier to carry, it also works better for me as a book reader. Overall, it is worth the upgrade if you are looking to upgrade to an iPad Pro, but if you already have one, i would wait unless you are looking to upgrade due to available space.

My new IPad pro 10.5 is phenomenal. I have an amazing personal desktop, and my company gave me a laptop to use for work. I ended up selling my laptop and purchasing the 10.5 Ipad Pro and the smart keyboard. I figured the only reason for a laptop was for traveling and the occasional in-bed netflix binge. Instead of dropping the $1400 + I would’ve spend on a macbook pro, I saved around $550 and now have this amazing Ipad / smart keyboard combo. After using it for about a month, the only downside is that I dont have a way to back up my Ipad “outside of the cloud” Other than that, this was the best compromising purchase I’ve made in the last three years.

I wanted to gift a tablet to my wife and also because her existing one was giving her a tough time. We had gone to the store to check out on our options. We initially settled for the 9.7 inch but then at a tad higher price, this one caught our fancy. The other factor that helped us to settle for this one was that we could use our Best Buy Credit Card to convert the cost of the tablet to a 0% EMI. That was really cool. You get a wonderful product without the burden on your pocket. I have found the tablet to be good and so far there has been no issues...thankfully. I would surely recommend it to anyone who is interested in buying

I was coming from my 3 years old iPad Air 1. I probably saw every single review and unboxing video for this new iPad Pro 10.5 since it was launched. When I first what it was capable of I saw an opportunity for this device to fit in my daily routine and especially on the work I'm currently doing. I do believe that its full potential will be evident with the new iOS 11 coming up this september, but even now it's a beast of a computer. And yes, this is a computer not just by definition but also because of its functionality. Just FYI my work is in the health sciences, it involves a lot of reading of scientific research papers, planning and executing research projects, coordinating symposiums, a lot of signing important documents and also a little of basic graphic design.

If you are asking yourself do I want the 2018 pro, air 2019, or this iPad Pro 10.5 go for this one. It’s the only one with pro motion which makes everything clear and you get everything of the new pro minus the better design for 200 less. Unless you just have to have the new look get this one and what ever you do do not buy the new air. The new air has half the speakers and lacks the display and is the same price not to mention the new air using the phone processor and not the tablet one like the pro models. So even though this is older it is just as fast and in some cases faster than the air

I am new to apple, but I feel you cannot go wrong with their technology. I love this iPad Pro, it really is amazing. It is fast, light, and thin. The screen is the best out there in a tablet. I got this for school, to replace my MacBook Pro. I wanted something more portable. I don’t need a keyboard that often, only when I need to write emails or papers. So, I got the Apple Pencil and the magic keyboard to round out this great tablet to make it all I need it to be. I am so happy with this tablet. You really cannot go wrong with it. Only down side, I cannot get Microsoft word for free, because this new tablet is 10.5 inches. UGH. That is so weird, at least I think it is. Again, this tablet has the best screen, and is so light and fast. I am amazed.

Picked this up when I returned my iPad mini 4. I was loading it up with movies purchased off iTunes and managed to fill up the 128gb pretty quick. Portability was great, but I needed a larger viewing screen. So I snagged the iPad Pro 10.5” 256gb model. Which ended up being PERFECT. Currently have 18 movies loaded on it and still have 140+ gb space left. Along with a couple large games on it and a few books. The large screen and 4 speakers make this a beast of a portable entertainment center. The sound and display clarity is incredible. Haven’t touched my MacBook Air since I bought this. Can’t wait to eventually try out sketching on it with the Apple Pencil.

The best iPad I've used yet

I've used all the versions of iPad since the iPad 2, and this is undoubtedly my favorite. It's so responsive to opening and switching apps and the refresh rate on the screen makes it super smooth. I got it specifically for a few reasons: 1) Pro iPad to use with the apple pencil (fast refresh = no lag, best tablet writing I've seen), 2) last pro iPad to have a headphone jack, 3) the pro's seem to be moving to a usb-C charger, and all my cords are lightning. All in all a great buy. But if you have no plans to get the apple pencil, then you might be fine with the regular iPad.

I'd heard the rumors of a forthcoming 10.5" iPad Pro and was waiting for this to replace my iPad Air. The sspeed improvement: incredible. The new laminated display: absolutely gorgeous. The 120 Hz refresh rate: unbelievable. The 10.5"screen size: perfect. If it sounds like I'm gushing. I am. I bought this when it was first available in June and I'm writing this in September. I still feel a bit of joy whenever I pick this device up. I should add that I bought the Apple pencil to accompany this iPad (since only Pro's support Pencil) and that made a huge difference in my iPad experience. Now that I have iOS 11 installed I'm inclined to believe this could replace my laptop for everything except a couple company specific windows apps I still need.

I bought this as a replacement home laptop. It’s got a small learning curve if you don’t have an IPhone, but if you do then its an easy transition. There are Microsoft apps if you’re used to a PC (like me), but the Pages app it comes with does all the same things and can be exported as a Word document. The split screen is a good feature, and who doesn’t love game and social media apps? I didn’t give 5 stars because I’ve only had it for a couple weeks, so I’m sure I will come across something that would make me say “room for improvement,” but when you compare it to the 2018 model, it does a lovely job for a much cheaper price.

Traded my 9.7" I had just brought last week for this one...not knowing Apple was going to be releasing a new one. It is a big improvement as far as storage goes. The screen and processor are brilliant. I stuck with the 256gb considering the price can be steep. When the iOS 11 hits this fall, this thing will blow every tablet out the box. The new A10x chip is already a big improvement. I'd say upgrade if you can. It should be on the market for a while...at least I'm keeping mine for a long time!

I have had an iPad 3 for several years and love it. My wife after many years of pushing back and carrying a MacBook Pro decided its time to enter the 21st century. She loves the new device. Much bigger than her iPhone 6s and much lighter than her MacBook Pro. The 256GB of storage allows her to store more pictures and music for on the go. It has all the functionality and power of the iphones just in a larger, easier for our aging eyes package. I’ll be upgrading my own soon and won’t hesitate to get another iPad. I shopped around and Best Buy had the lowest price. They have price match guarantee so I wasn’t concerned about finding a lower price. I’ve had to get a price adjustment in the past and they make it so easy.

I am always a fan of Apple products. Unfortunately, I have the iMac and it got so slow within 2 years. iPad, on the other hand, has been one of their more stellar products. This iPad Pro is no exception. I did get an Amazon Fire - I am not sure which one, but I didn’t even get a chance to use it because one look at the picture quality and I gave up. The picture of this iPad is amazing and the battery last all day and probably the next day if you dont use it all day long. I also got the Apple keyboard attachment and the pencil. If they are on your budget, I really recommend them. They are the perfect companion for the perfect table.

This iPad is a heavy duty beast of a machine. I would recommend it to everyone. I will say, it seems to be more geared towards artists and media lovers, but it really is an amazing machine. I was testing it and was able to run 2 different apps using split screen AND stream videos all at the same time with NO lag AT ALL, which is much different from the one we upgraded from. I also am an aspiring artist and just got the Apple Pencil today and I've been having so much fun using that with the ipad. The Apple Pencil is expensive but it might actually be worth the money because it's easily the best stylus I've used and it also has no lag whatsoever. 100% recommend the iPad 10.5 and the Apple Pencil.

I thought the right thing to do was turn off the power after setting it up. It worked fine initially. When I turned it back on, it asked for a passcode which I do not recall entering. I googled how to resolve but the hard reset did not work, the only passwords I use do not work and connecting it to itunes gave an unknown error. I called the geek squad and they accidentally hung up on me. I called them back and they assured me they would not hang up again. They then told me to call the local store. I called them and they told me I have to bring it in. I did not see that much of a benefit to this device and this seems a little crazy. All, for a password/passcode. In any case, it no longer works for me.

I've had nearly every iteration of the iPad dating back to the first iPad and to me this one is just right. I was using the 9.7" Pro and 12.9" Pro prior to buying the 10.5" and I must say that this one is the perfect fit. 9.7" was good for mobility and doing general browsing and game playing. The 12.9" is just too big for mobility, but great for writing and using it to watch movies. I keep the 12.9" in my office at work and I generally use it to watch TV or listen to music. The 10.5" fits all of those categories for me and includes fast charging, great display with a high refresh rate and works perfect with the pencil. Gaming and editing photos is great on this thing. I would definitely recommend this.
