I'm a reluctant buyer because I was fairly satisfied with my old iPad and was just thinking about replacing it when I lost it on an airplane. I upgraded to the Pro for the greater storage and the ability to use the Apple Pen (reviewed separately). I'm not convinced I'm enough of a user to justify a Pro (I have a Mac Air as well). But the optics are amazing and the speed is lightning fast compared to my previous version.

I never write reviews but always read many so thought I would finally contribute. I upgraded from iPad Air 16 GB (first version—2013) to iPad Pro 10.5 256 GB. What an upgrade and much needed one at that! Received an in-store credit for iPad Air trade-in and got the iPad on sale, too. Like the 10.5 size—little bigger than the 9.7 but not too big to carry around. Contemplated just getting latest version of 9.7 iPad but there are so many advantages to getting iPad Pro that I felt like extra money was worth the investment. Improved features from iPad Air: 1) Picture quality; 2) Faster responsiveness of touch (compared to my old iPad that was starting to have problems); 3) More memory; 4) Fingerprint identification to unlock; 5) More speakers/improved sound quality. While memory capacity is not an issue if you use cloud or third-party storage (I.e. Dropbox), it will be nice to have this, given the video quality capability is improved on this. I have not bought an Apple Pencil yet—will see if I can do without. I mainly use iPad for email, surfing web/social media, referencing documents in meetings and lecture notes for class. All in all, after all my research, I decided to upgrade to iPad Pro 10.5 instead of just 9.7 newest iPad. A little more money goes a long way in getting extra features. If you’re contemplating between 9.7 version and iPad Pro, go with the iPad Pro. Finally, I always pair my iPad with a Zagg keyboard folio case and Zagg shield. I Love this IPad, 10.5” 256g is not only the perfect size but it’s also just as lite as my older iPad was, plus it’s so much faster than my old iPad with 4 times the amount of storage, looking forward to many years of awesome use, I would definitely recommend this to everyone !!!

This is being a pricy product it pays you back in terms of amazing visual and immense power. The screen - Promotion is need to be used in personal to believe the difference from the rest of the crowd. And 4 speaker audio can beat most of the laptop and some of the cheap bluetooth speaker. This monster is snappy at whatever u order to do. But dont just buy just for regular browsing and video watching. This can replace your laptop in portion of your activities.

I bought the iPad Pro plus the Apple Pencil in hopes that it will replace most of the stuff I used to carry in my backpack; I have not been disappointed. All of my books (including heavy ones like Calculus) and notebooks of paper have been completely replaced. Even better, my notes are all stored digitally and I am able to record entire lectures (with Notability). The screen is crisp @ 120hz and games and video look amazing. Highly recommended!

i’m really enjoying my new ipad pro 10.5 w/ 256gb. debated between upgrading my iphone 6s 16gb to 8s or get a new ipad. have been using my daughters old ipad mini (first edition?) which was very slow. so glad i went with new ipad. phone is just too small anymore to browse internet, etc. even wearing my readers, LOL. i’ll keep my phone for texting & calls. love the screen size & speed. also bought apple pencil.... merry christmas to me.

If you can’t decide between the iPad 9.7 128GB and iPad Pro 10.5 64GB, consider the upgraded iPad 10.5 features listed below, which costs around $150 more than the iPad 9.7 128GB: Slightly larger, higher resolution, and laminated display. Tapping the iPad 9.7 screen sounds hollow, where tapping the 10.5 Pro screen sounds solid. ipad 9.7 screen looks like a mirror and you could almost use it to comb your hair, where the iPad 10.5 Pro display is not very reflective and easier to view in the sunlight. Wife loves 10.5 screen for reading and the speed. The size and weight are perfect for her.

This purchase is my first iPad experience. I have an Android phone so I've held out. But the tremendous variety of apps available to the iPad was what swayed me. The display is crystal clear and the speed is unmatched. It's a little heavy to drag around with me, but I'll figure out how to do it. I'm going to get a keyboard case. I think that would increase my efficiency exponentially.

I've been using iPads alongside my MacBooks for most of my undergrad years, and even more so now that I'm working on a Master's degree. The storage space allows me to download all of my textbooks, programs, and documents, and still have a huge amount of space left for things like music and movies. The display is beautiful, and like most Apple products it's extremely easy to use; I would imagine even if Apple isn't your primary brand, these devices are relatively simple to set up and operate. I sometimes miss the handheld size of the iPad Mini, but this 10.5" size is great compared to the 12" pro; I've used those in the past, and they were just too large for me. Overall, you can't go wrong with this model, or just about any of the options in the iPad line up.

Very portable, battery is long lasting and good storage capabilities.

everything i needed - superior speed, display & feather light

At first I thought 10.5 was too small but it is the perfect size for me. Very portable and light. I use this iPad Pro mainly for note taking for college and I Love it! I can organize my notes and basically mirror my phone onto my iPad! The iPad is fast and I can multitask! I love split screen! The quality is definitely worth the investment!

I bought this because I wanted something that I could take notes with in class. I tried to replace traditional note-taking (in notebooks) with other tablets including the iPad Air but it never felt right and I always reverted back to using notebooks. The iPad Pro, however, works beautifully with the apple pen and feels really natural. I can take notes easily and comfortably (it no longer feels awkward as with other tablets). My favorite thing about it is that I can follow along with my professors on the PowerPoints and take notes directly on each PowerPoint - I recommend the app Liquid Text if you would like to do this. I also draw which makes this iPad even more useful and fun to use for me. My last iPad was the Air and it literally just sat and collected dust because I found zero use for it. Now Apple has made the iPad much more functional and practical for someone like me. I can organize all of my class notes and consolidate all of my textbooks with e-books on this device which of course you can do with other tablets but the fact that I am now able to actively take notes on it makes the act much more rewarding. Now my backpack is filled with weightlessness and don't have to walk all the way back to my car just to get a notebook or textbook so I can study at the library :) If you're in the market for an iPad right now then I highly recommend this one along with the Apple Pen.

Love my iPad Pro just love it. Why did I wait so long to buy one? I bought this iPad Pro to do some digital Art. Love everything it does. Feels good in my hands. Battery life is fantastic. Will easily last all day with heavy use. Blazing fast start ups too. You will not be disappointed in the iPad Pro

Have had 2 iPads before this (iPad Air last one)... and this is just a joy to use ... the bigger size and use of the Apple Pencil is great. I have managed to avoid paper and take all notes on the iPad (noteworthy or good Notes apps)... highly recommended. Only negative is price. Weight is perfect too.

The picture on this iPad is phenomenal. I think the size is ideal (10.5 inches) because it fits easily in my briefcase, but the display is very easy to see. I rarely have to enlarge text and pictures are easily identifiable. Netflix movies are ideal for long airplane trips with this device.

Tried to decide for weeks on a replacement for my iPad - iPad or iPad Pro. Went for the Pro with the cover/keyboard accessory and couldn't be happier. Speed is fast, screen is vibrant and the keyboard makes life easier. Can't wait to get the Apple Pencil accessory for Xmas!

Previous Apple iPAD was over four years old and iOS would no longer upgrade to iOS 11. Liked the new iPAD Pro for it's light weight, more screen viewing area, and faster processor. In addition, able to run newer apps which would not run on older version of iOS.

I went to the store to purchase a tablet and was very unbiased on brand or operating system. For reference I have a Galaxy S7 phone that is great and also an iPod Touch from 2009 that still works great as well. I tried several tablets at the store and have friends and family with different tablets. I kept going back to the Apple tablet and for good reasons. The iPad Pro screen was much more responsive and the apps opened very quick. The general feel of the tablet is very sturdy and robust. I played a couple of games and the refresh rate is outstanding. One surprise was how well the camera takes pictures. They are as good or better than most cell phones. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tablet. I don't care about the Android vs iOS messages, I just think this tablet rocks.
