My primary uses are for note taking and light school work days when i don't want to pack up my MacBook. I've used it a couple of days and I'm really happy with my purchase.

Almost a replacement for your laptop

If you know how to use it, it can replace your laptop for most needs. This is really all most people need in a computer. However if you are doing coding and more advanced computer work you probably aren't even considering an iPad in the first place. I would recommend getting the Magic Keyboard if you are trying to make this your only device.
