I bought this as a replacement for a Gen1 iPad Air. It's like a breath of fresh air and combined with the Gen2 Pencil I find it an invaluable business tool. I'm just trying to decide on a keyboard and I think it will replace my laptop for most of my traveling.

I needed an iPad to assist with the digital books for school. After researching I found this one and I could not be more please. Battery life and the ease of use is amazing. Couldn’t beat the price either!

It is so much better than an Android. It is faster and allows me to write with my I pen. Can do a lot of functions on the IPad that I couldn’t do on my Android. I will never go back to an Android. Thank You Apple!!!!!

I love my iPad! I got it at a great price and it has been working very well. As a student, it has made my life easier. I use it mostly for writing notes in class. I also love how light weight it is, and of a reasonable size. Very portable and convenient!

Love this iPad; particularly the Apple Pencil! Screen is super sharp and clear. Light weight and the color is cool (tho now covered up by case :-( ). Very happy with purchase. And it was on sale!!

I originally bought this iPad for games but i decided to use it for school. The games i have on here have been working really well and load pretty fast. It also works really well with all my schoolwork and apps. I personally went with this iPad instead of the newer one because it offers basically the same things as the new one just a different chip and a new camera placement (i don’t really care about that stuff as long as it works). Overall my experience with this iPad has been going well and it works well with the folio keyboard case. Also the colors on the 5th gen are more vibrant than the 6th gen and i like that but to each their own.

Bought to replace my trusty old (and cheaper) 10.2" iPad when I dropped it and cracked the screen. The old iPad still functions but it gave me an excuse to upgrade to the iPad Air. The Air has a Beautiful display but is subject to very noticeable fingerprint smudging, which is impossible to avoid. Just keep screen cleaner handy to keep screen looking pristine. Performance so far is excellent but in comparison to my old iPad there are two ergonomic points I have to get used to: 1) when holding the Air landscape, I need to use my left-hand fingers to turn on and get a fingerprint read. With the old iPad, I used my right-hand thumb 2) it's a bit heavier than the old iPad, which makes it marginally less portable but I'm splitting hairs (I'm just noting a slight weight difference). I'm sure I'll get used to these differences. The bottom line is that the performance upgrade with the Air (and BB's great sale price) makes it a worthwhile buy. If the price doesn't put you off, then go for it.

I had an older model that needed replacement. I found this one and, am very satisfied. It is smaller than my older one. It is easier to carry around. I like that it doesn’t have the home button on the front.

This is my first Ipad, and it has performed as advertised. It is extremely well built, has a beautiful display, runs quickly and smoothly, and has an impressive battery life. The reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is that I purchased it as a laptop replacement (Along with a keyboard case) and have found that certain Ipad versions of common programs (google drive, pages, gmail, etc) don't function as intuitively as on a macbook, and don't seem to have all the same capabilities. I'm sure this has always been the case with Ipad apps, but for a machine as powerful as this one, I expected similar usability to my old, trusty macbook pro from 2012.

Excellent - Description of blue color in review

As usual, excellent iPad. I feel like this is the one to buy over the Pro models (even though I own an older 12.9 inch pro). The blue color looks fantastic. It's definitely a "mellow" blue. If you look up 10 photos of this iPad you'll see 10 different shades of blue and wonder which one it is. I can say it's just a little bit more vibrant than sky blue. But not nearly as saturated as the product photos make it seem. Here is a fairly similar color code for reference: #75C7EF Although your monitor/screen affects the look of color as well. I've also owned Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ and the speed and performance can't compare, even to entry-level, or older iPads.

I bought an iPad Air 5th gen to take with me on a work conference at the last minute, because Apple delayed my custom MacBook order even longer due to supply chain issues. I've had an iPad Air before, so I knew it would do the light work I needed, but I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of being able to remote-in to computers with this bad boy! I was able to do a lot more work than I anticipated. If your desktop computer is set up for remoting via Google's application or Microsoft Terminal Services, this iPad is just what you need to be able to do computer work on the go. At the conference, I was able to easily do my email work, writing/editing stuff, design/marketing stuff, and operate my company's custom software through MS Terminal. The 10.9 screen is just enough size wise, and is stunningly perfect when paired with the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. I gave only four stars for durability, because when you're cleaning off the screen, sometimes it feels like I could EASILY stab this sucker or snap it in half. (I mean it is an Air, so I guess that's expected?) If you have a history of damaging devices of any kind, I highly recommend investing in a good case and screen protector to keep your investment safe.

It has been a great experience. I traded in my old ipad for the air pad. I have no regrets with speed or performance. I did purchase 256 GB storage as 64 seems way to small over time. Highly recommend!

This is my first iPad, and quickly, realizing the space is more than I will likely use. This has almost replaced the use of my cell phone when at home because I can use a larger screen for sending text messages reading emails scrolling the Internet in a much more comfortable and friendly position, than using a hot laptop and power cord. I absolutely love it. The air is a good size not too big not too small. It fits perfectly in my work bag along with my lunchbox and work computer. I can see myself using this for many years to come. I have coupled the iPad with a paper like screen, protector, and a folio case. This trio definitely works well together at least for me. Only drawback which I knew going in was the matte or dull screen after installing the paperlike, but this is not an issue but noticeable.

I went into Best Buy not knowing anything about iPads. I've always had an iPhone, but never an iPad. I need the iPad for nursing school. I immediately went for the iPad Pro. The gentleman that helped me was honest and said that the iPad pro would be "overkill" and that I could easily get by with the newest iPad Air. He could have easily sold me the much more expensive iPad Pro. I've had the iPad Pro for about a week now and I'm loving it. I learn new things everyday. I am glad I purchased the Magic Keyboard when I got the iPad. One thing I noticed after using the iPad for a few days was that I thought I'd really like a mouse if there was one available. I went online on BestBuy.com and ordered myself the Magic Mouse. Couldn't be happier.
